I think what Canada needs to adopt it’s a quota on the number of immigrants coming in from each country. Open it to everyone based on the same point system we have now, and once’s those openings are full for India, Italy, Thailand etc… that’s it you’d have to wait till next year that the quota opens again. This will allow a more diverse immigration and minimize the xenophobia that come with having huge numbers coming in from only one region

I came from France back in 2015 whith my familly when Harper was still prime minister at the time , really I'd say things have been really great , my family and I have worked hard to get to where we are today and have always wanted to give back to our community here but I am disgusted to see in 2024 what Trudeau has done to the country and to see that immigration is no longer as prestigious as it used to be. Unlike some people we have today, I had to wait 3 years with my family before receiving approval to move to Canada (after so many exams, appointments and waiting times). I did my middle school here until college and I'm currently still looking for work in correctional and when I see that people arrive here afterwards without being permanent residents, who are literally flooding spots at colleges/university and also jobs that are normally open for young canadians in their 15-16 (When I was in high school, my first job was at a McDonald's, and without exception, everyone there was Canadian. Today, when I go back to the same McDonald's for a cheeseburger every now and then, the entire staff is nothing but Indians) .As a person with an immigrant background, I'm the first one to say that there's a very big problem in Canada, and that current immigration, mainly from India, is no longer for economic reasons but to reunite families.(They do not, and will never, assimilate into Canadian culture.)Now that I've grown up in Canada for almost half my life, I'm already thinking about either returning to France or start over somewhere else if nothing changes.\n\nThe Trudeau government, uncontrolled immigration, dangerous idelogies from extreme far left idea, rising unemployment, and economic misery getting worse every day , gradually pushes me away from the country I love, Oh Canada.

Alright. The median age in Canada is 41years. That means in 20 years, majority of the population would be close to retirement, which also means that if a younger population is not 'brought in' it would be disastrous for the economy. They need to stop calling it immigration, it's not. The majority are illegal's, asylum seekers, refugees, people on open work permits or LMIA and international students thinking they can stay permanently. They are causing high taxes, stagnant wages, housing issues, high rime rates, and high taxes. The process of immigration is a long one and it's expensive. You need to prove you have the funds and somewhere to live or work. These people are being lied to to come here, exploited with employment , it's just bad for everyone, all around....except employers. My partner have been in Canada since 2021 and he came there on study visa. While applying for the permit, every student promise to IRCC that they will leave Canada once they finish the study though everyone who comes on study visa aims to be permanent residents later. However both me and my partner think and accept that *PR is not a right that we could fight or protest for.* The Candian govt does not owe a PR promise to any international students. If we are lucky enough to get the PR, well, we are blessed and it's a favour offered by the Govt. of Canada. Anybody applying for any forms of temporary residence in the country are obliged to accept the rules and regulations and policies associated with their stay. If we will not get PR in the future, we will leave the country with All due respect to every opportunities and fortunes that this country has given us. No offense. Also when you move and settle in another country respect their culture and don't ever try to showcase the culture and practices of your home country if it will not be welcomed by the native people.

The conservatives don’t touch the subject because of the fear of being perceived as “racist”. They shouldn’t worry about that perception, since everyone of all backgrounds are feeling it’s gotten out of hand. I say this as a naturalized Canadian citizen born in the Philippines (arrived here in the early 1980s). There’s been far too much immigration under Trudeau and it needs to be reduced severely. It’s affecting everyone negatively. MATH is not racist.
