I've got some even more bad news for you Cash. Our government up here in Canada, has been importing military age couples posing as interior decorators, from China, to the tune of 200,000 a year. This has been going on since 2017 or so. Good natured Canadians believe that these are just people seeking better opportunities for themselves but, since when has any communist country simply allowed thousands of young couples to just leave, because they wanted to? I believe that these immigrants are being sent so that China can pre-position their military units, for the coming battle with the U.S. They have already amassed about a million soldiers up here, waiting for their marching orders. Call me paranoid if you like but, we saw something similar to this in West Germany during the Cold War. Thousands of STASI agents were successfully sluiced in, in a similar way. Remember the population of China is 2 billion or so!

It’s been so long about immigrants from different countries applying to Canada why only now that having this temporary visitors become a big problem???. It’s the incompetent people who are handling and managing the application. It’s a simple mathematics get the right number and set a limit and it should be devided by different nationality not just mostly dominated or only people from India getting approved. Canada and U.S. are almost the same, high rate of taxes/cost of living/rent, etc. but anyone who wants more opportunity for their children, just have to be patient especially for new immigrants because when I immigrated here in the U.S. way back on 1979, I had my family with me, my wife (pregnant) and 4-daughters, ages 8, 6, 4, 2 that even I am a civil engineer and a Captain with the PA, worked in Saudi Arabia for 1 year, I started working as a security guard, then draftsman, engineering associate, manufacturing operator, etc. and now retired with my children & grandchildren enjoying their lives, have good jobs.

Just wanna present some of my views on this topic, as a indian living in Canada, a lot of points in this discussion are pretty valid. Although, the hate is also in my opinion a little misdirected.\n\nInternational students pay three, maybe even five times as much as domestic students in terms of tuition fees, and while I 100% agree that not everybody even deserves to stay here, a major portion of fault is on government. If you want to make an argument, that government or the country in general never promise the residency status in Canada, then regulate the tuition fees, make it manageable for everyone.\n\nIf you don't want to do that, fair enough, then provide opportunities, there 100% are bad apples in the population, I will not deny that! But you called them, you took the responsibility, you promised the opportunities and students paid for it. Now you hate us for that, either build the bridge both ways or don't hate.\n\nI am genuinely more frustrated with the system rather than immigrants, it is becoming a widespread trend to hate immigrants but I believe the government is just as much at a fault. If you think I am wrong, I would to hear your views on the topic, it is a pretty complex one, just be respectful.

hey from BC, Canada, and welcome to the farthest and coldest reaches of the North. there are good and bad places in Canada too, though compared to places in the States make it look tamer. i do envy some things in the States like entertainment. i have a friend that lives in Cleveland, Ohio and he went to a Cavaliers game for $20. in Canada, that might get you parking and a ticket to the Raptors was like $130-160 for nosebleed seats. quite a difference. (edit: air travel or telecoms/internet is super expensive since companies here don't like competition and the government is kind of gutless to make a fair price for things like the States does. Canada telecoms say because things are too spread out so things are expensive, but Australia is even more spread out than Canada and they have way cheaper prices of internet and telecoms)

We should allow any non criminal person that is fleeing abuse or danger. They need to be able to prove this of course. During World War 2, Canada denied entry to 900 Jews escaping yhe death camps. That was wrong. We cannot paint all people with the same brush. There are two ditches to any road. We are perhaps in one ditch and we have also been in the other.
