I moved to Canada in 2018 on permanent residency with a nice job and family. We moved to the USA a couple of months ago after acquiring Canadian citizenship.

Too many immigrants & not enough affortable housings , schools , medical cares , jobs are becoming a big problems for many native Canadians , imagine what new immigrants have to struggle to face?! ... Sad that , many Good , Friendlier & Happier World of the 1960s , 1970s , 1980s , & 1990s are hard to find nowsdays in 2024 in around the World ... People have changed ... So the World changed ... As a Canadian I can officially say without a doubt in my mind there's foreigners on pretty well every jobsite in Atlantic Canada they come here with nar bitta $ and get put through college or university while our own people struggles working min wage jobs to make enough to get that chance.

Canada is dying; Freeland changed Brave Middle Class for economic zero, Tax by Tax...and nothing for Canadians but everything for immigrants; jobs, houses, social money but NOT for Canadians. People are tired and angry.

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become a North Korea style dictatorship in the western world.\n\n\nTheir are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Maybe Our dream is Canadian's Nightmare. The people want us out. The Govt wants immigrant's to grow their GDP but the people are not worried about GDP, they are worried about ther jobs and cost of housing and living.

The main reason that Canada is bringing in half a million migrants and hundreds of thousands of students is to keep the property prices high. If they slow down intake of migration and international students property prices will crash and with it the Canadian economy. Canada earns billions in migration fees, education fees and of course cheap labor like cleaners, carers, and taxi drives, jobs that canadian-born residents will not do. \nMost students are financed by their Mum and Dad Bank, lived a sheltered life with maids and drivers but with no skills, so they go overseas, and forced to do menial jobs to survive. Back home the family will be looking for a rich partner.

Too many young people coming with not much experience and skills Plus when someone is coming on a student Visa to study here, Why looking for a job and survival money while Canada issued the Visa for study only ( Moderate job/20 hrs). Also immigration to Canada do not give any Job guarantee. No surprise there, \n\nCanada is NOT attractive to migrants anymore due to multiple reasons.\n\nSoon a 1 bedroom apartment will probably cost 5000$/month for rent in the Major Cities making it impossible to settle here for newcomers.\n\nThe healthcare system has serious problems due to a lack of Doctors and Nurses who left for better paying jobs in US or Europe.\n\nIf you need immediate Specialist care you will probably have to pay hundreds of dollars just to see someone in the Private sector because the Public Health System has huge waiting lists and is understaffed.\n\nYou won’t be able to get a Government Family Doctor because the remaining ones have thousands of patients already so they’re swamped.\n\nYou can wait even 10 years for a Family Doctor and still won’t get one.\n\nYou can’t be bumped up on waiting lists for Doctors or Specialists even if you are in a critical condition because you aren’t a Celebrity / Politician / Millionaire.\n\nOnly those with a lot of money, status, power get immediate medical attention in case of an emergency.\n\nMost of the traditional medical costs like and eye exam, treating an ingrown toe nail, Physiatrie treatment are NOT covered by the Provinces anymore so you will have to pay out of pocket hundreds of dollars again.\n\nSome Provinces are already copying the US healthcare system which is 100% Private and for profit so don’t be surprised if you you’re gonna have to pay even for an infusion.\n\nThe minimum wage is only 15$/hour in most provinces when in reality you need at least 40$/hour to survive the ridiculous cost of living.\n\nYour typical salary will go 45% to taxes and 45% to rent leaving almost nothing for food / bills / gas / insurance etc. \n\nYou will struggle to make ends meet and possibly starve a week or two every month just to say that you’re “Canadian” \n\nThat is the sad reality but Canada is in a deep hole right now.\n\nUK is in a similar situation too.

Educated people with college degrees from other nations can't work right away in their profession because they require canadian experience and bla bla bla. The cost of living is very high, they tax you for breathing, small job market overall. Canada needs to be more flexible in professionals with experience in their fields. They are not looking to be working in fast food chains or anything like that having experience. Canada is a hard place to start from zero knowing the reasons above.

I would return home if i wasn't sucked dry here with no resources to go back. Lived in same Canadian province my whole life, here’s a solution to immigrants complaining go home to your country. Canada has been ruined by immigration but to be more specific Indians, they are everywhere, in PEI every single service industry job has been taken over by them and so a stigma is created working in fast food, gas stations, ect. No other race works there but Indians, it’s easy to spot an Indian on the road too, if not a massive dumb Punjabi sticker on their door just look at the license plate, you will see their surname every time. It’s a joke. It’s worse when you go to the gym and are surrounded by 80% Indians as some smell Soooo bad. So please, just go home. Trust me nobody wanted you to come, it was a political thing and you are the one race that filed in like rats. I'm a Brit who has lived here 13 years and my advice to any Brit thinking of moving here is not to. If you can live in a nice county and you have a decent job you are better off in the UK. There is a lot of decline in urban areas here, tweaking drug addicts and tent encampments the likes the UK has NEVER seen. It's incredibly expensive to rent if you want to live anywhere remotely interesting. The infrastructure is so bad, unless you have a vehicle or lots of money to keep flying, you will feel incredibly isolated here. Brits are lucky to have such a great network of public transport and close proximity to Europe and all the cheap flights to get you around there. The work life balance is not as good as the UK. Most jobs here will start you on 2 weeks a year and only increase as your service grows. So after 5 years of service you will get 3 weeks and so on. Don't expect 5 weeks vacation until you have put 20 years in with most jobs. Canada is boring, it really is and so are most Canadians who also seem to have no idea what a sense of humour is. I have found new immigrants to be the friendliest, especially those from China, India, Vietnam and the Philippines. Now to the wokeness of the place, oh gosh, it's so bad. The Alberta premier has just announced very sensible and much needed gender reforms which 95% of Canadians agree with. These reforms will protect young gay kids mostly. The left have completely lost their mind over this. Women here are in genuine fear of speaking out regarding their privacy and rights to single sex spaces and sports. In the UK , this is slowly improving I believe. I'm putting things in place so I can leave. I hope things improve once the liberal government are gone but it will take many years to get this country back on track.

People who come to Canada after receiving their PR struggle way too much. When you apply for a job here, they require you to have 1 year of Canadian working experience. How does someone fulfill that criteria if they've just landed in a new country? The government should instead open PR for only blue-collar jobs, which are actually in high demand. The whole immigration program otherwise feels like a scam. You shouldn't be getting any points for your educational and professional qualifications in the application when, in reality, it's not going to help you afterward. Most of the people I know here are planning a relocation because they don't see themselves owning a house anytime soon.

Seems not much changed for the immigrants … more than 20 years ago, the similar scenario… job was hard to find, always asking Canadian experience, expensive grocery and rent… boring life especially in small towns…. When there is more immigration than needed some will leave. Reverse immigration happens in every country. Do I care people leaving? No. We are getting lots of people to do jobs nobody here want to do. 500,000 X 0.825 = 412,500( left) every year(new immigrants). That is one percent of the population as it should be. \nOnly thing that is a problem is the rising rental costs in university towns because of these excess international students. That is making rentals unaffordable for local Canadian students and taking away mac & Tim Horton jobs. Cheers.

Indian news exaggerating the situation in Canada. I've been living in Canada past 5 years. I've never made more money and never lived my life better. \n\nWhen a million students come to study every year in 2 major intakes, it's obviously hard to find jobs. Canadian government has rightfully put a cap on this number to prevent this. The only mistake they did was not putting a cap 3-4 years ago.

Canadians are working two jobs and 60 to 80 hours per week just to survive! Both the husband and wife must work like slaves. We have no choice! Either work like hell or get kicked out of your apartment for failure to pay rent! They never tell immigrants this fact. Things got a lot worse after Trudeau became prime minister.

As a person living for around twenty years in Canada, the real problem is too much supply of human resources from outside Canada especially from India. This is around 35% and trying to concentrate in certain areas of Canada. This has caused too much burden on Health care, Transportation, housing, and other public services in those areas. Unlike the time I migrated to Canada, all places are now overcrowded. There are not enough job opportunities due to the large influx of students. Thousands of applicants for one job from the day they arrive here. You can get some idea of how many applied on the job site Indeed. This has resulted in companies and job agencies exploiting students by paying low wages and firing them indiscriminately. Therefore, both the Canadian government and the Indian government have a role to play and Students too should be aware of the real situation here.

Just for reference in my Canadian city we had only 2 days of light snow. \n\nIf you immigrate to any country without an education you will have to do blue collar jobs. Yes. Canada is not like what used to be as a good country to immigrate to in mid or late 1970s. Unfortunately, job opportunities, salary, wages have not kept us with high cost of living in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. Also, road infrastruture have not kept 12:12 up with population growth. People should do research, check out more before immigrating to Canada these days. If you are moving to Canada for peace and political stability, then yes. Otherwise, think twice! Also, the requirement for Canadian employers to ask for Canadian experience has existed since at least the 70s. But it is absurd and stupid for employers to ask job applicants for Canadian experience since the world is highly interconnected through internet these days. Provided you are working in western world or English speaking countries, job functions and management styles are basically very similar whether it is high tech industry, banking, investment companies etc.

Great video.skilled people should migrate to Australia but never canada..let me add 3 more reasons : canada is a non happy people, due to complex life, it's very hard to meet a Canadian happy. 2. Many sectors in business are dominated by people from a certain country and they will not anyone work in that field. For example, security guard, and warehouse jobs are only for India. Firefighting jobs are only for someone who's father or brother is a Firefighter. School manager is only Canadian of Europe origin...3. Canada is age eating place, meaning you come to canada young, but ur life will run so fast , that you get old and crippled very fast+not happy.

Yeah, it's really sad to see this side of Canada, because many of my aunts live in there, and they still have to work in malls or shops in order to run their daily lives. Although my cousin has a successful government job but still one of my aunt never got any permanent citizenship or Canadian Passport.

Canada is issuing too many visitors' visas.. People with tourist visas land here and do not want to leave. They want to get jobs without proper papers. I do not know how Canadian missions abroad are vetting tourist visa applications.

Immigrant Doctors even after passing canadian exams are expected to drive uber…still asking why they r leaving?. Cant afford their own house, cant get a job

My child graduated in computer science in 2021 and is still looking for a job in software development. Government policy allows Canadian companies to off shore their software development work and also allows for foreigners with IT experience to be fast tracked as permanent residence to Canada. It is gloomy for young Canadians, as our Govt- federal and Provincial- places more focus on businesses and profits about stability rather than orderliness in our society.

I’d like to think I could watch the whole video but frankly within the first 3 reasons people are “leaving Canada” - not something I’ve notice although in and election season I am not surprised this may be getting blown up In conservative press, you have left out any real context. Yep we pay taxes - but you don’t speak to what services those taxes do our don’t deliver. The complaint that employers want to hire people with experience is as old as time. I’m 70 and when I tried to get jobs as a kid and later as a university grad - it was the same story. Whether the job really requires experience or the employer is just using it to keep entry level wages down - that just goes with the territory and also feels universal. Lastly - you speak of “the Canadian way” without giving any examples. What is “the Canadian way” or is that just your euphemism for racial or cultural prejudice? If it is you should just say what you mean and stop bandying ill defined terms around that let viewers arrive at conclusions you don’t intend. So already being pretty annoyed with your Masters degree opinion piece - I had to stop you and move on. You thoughts here are not very meaningful and feel like they are full of grievances and intended to be asking for audience validation of your grievances which pretty much invalidates your disclaimer at the top of the video.

AS AN ACTUAL CANADIAN I was born and raised here 20 years ago and now I can't get a job because of immigrants I can't get an apartment because of immigrants I can't get a room in my own college because of immigrants i can't get into some classes because of immigrants. So is this Canada or Indian I don't get it?
