Many (not all) of these students are cheats who cheat on their scores..amd make it by falsifying data needed to make the cut. They should be sent back...ask them to speak English for once..In Canada be Canadian..not Indian.

Reading some comments… and then some say that AMERICANS are racist, Americans are bigots, Americans are intolerant!!!!!!! At least the Americans have the guts to confront their past and admit their wrongdoings… unlike some!!! As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!

I do not understand how 1.6 MILLIONS students from India got admission in Canadians universities across the country none of them speak English or go to school. Its beyond my imagination.

@DW News. I am A Doctor from India living in Germany since 7 years. Still i face alot of discrimination, although i speak C1 level of German. I faced descrimination for school admission of my Child. Beurocracy is so bad that i am thinking also to move to other country. Even after paying a Tax more than 2000€ a Month i feel i am not wellcome here, that i can feel from the behavior and read from the face of the people.

I am not sure when it happened, but I have recently noticed that most of the employees at my local Walmart, TD bank, and Shoppers Drug Mart are Indian. Many of them do not speak English or French.

In the last 4 years I have been nearly hit by Indian immigrant drivers who do not obey traffic laws in Ontario. I have met drivers driving the wrong way on way streets Indian, Drivers making illegal U turns and nearly hitting me Indian, drivers who change lanes in the middle of intersection Indian, every time my phone rings there is an Indian pretending to be CRA, or Amazon trying to scam money. Every fast food place is staffed by Indians who barely speak English can't be understood and fuck up the order. I have Indian customer ask me to break the law and carry more passengers than there are seat belts in my van I am tired of it I am tired having to compete against international students who come here on student visa's to study at some scam diploma mill college but not go to any classes and drive Uber. I am tired of having to play by the rules and compete with people who say fuck the rules. So don't let the door hit you fuckers on the way out.

It is challenging to be empathetic to these 'students.' I do think Canada should focus on graduating Canadian students with Canadian language skills and getting them into meaningful employment. Many of the TWP jobs can and should be filled by Canadian students who already speak one or both of Canada's official languages. It is getting increasingly difficult to be served effectively in English. French is less of a problem but too often Int Student Grads struggle to communicate in French also.

Speaking of waiting lists, I applied for a student visa in Germany in August 2022. I got the appointment in July 2024.

Germany is no recommendable for foreigners, at all. They wou;d have to embrace english accepted for international workers, relax the burocracy and solve the shortage of housing. Yes it is a rich country but the system is not made to wellcome foreigners. .German language is ridicoulously full of conservative rules that not even the germans dominate but you are imposed to speak it. Go to an english speaking country or to the Netherlands, Luxembourg,,,,learning the German language properly takes around 5 years ..for one word you know in german you need to learn many more because german language loves precision and according to the situation the word or expression will change appart from unexplicable gramatical rules, ...too long time to learn , if you are highly qualified , you have no time for this full time german language learning. you can learn a whole new career with that time. Friendliness, mmm also not so. they have different values, less emotional, no emphatetic. Best go to a more profi counry welcoming internationals and key tip: they accept english for work even if you do not speak the local language. Real international countries tolerate that you start working in english, while the local language you learn it with the time and only If you choose to stay long term. they do not asume that you will go for staying long term, they know you have the choice to leave. But Germany request you invested already such a long time learning German, and you still do not know if you wish to stay in Germany forever....

Most Indian students, speak English, are educated, work, pay taxes and are usually friendly. On the other hand our politicians have no problem importing people to put on welfare that hate us. All. Just for the Muslim votes

I never usually comment, but really had to speak up. Those of you from the US should not be involved in this conversation considering ur melting pot country with little diversity who is unaccustomed to diversity anyways (i went to america and was shocked at how little coloured minorities there were, and if there were it was just one type that was not brown). Canada has always had brown people, and many of the people you are talking about could be those that immigrated many years ago here or those that were born here. This is different from those immigrating who are also brown - you are grouping those from all different countries in South Asia (with brown skin) as Indian. Just because you see a brown person working in Walmart, it could just be someone who was born here or came here a long time ago. Brown people and Indians included are not in a majority in any way - just look at the population stats.

These are fake students and equal participants in the biggest scam involving commission consultants, bank officials, and the fake diploma mill colleges. So please do not portray a rosy picture of higher education as these students can not even speak English properly. They are doing courses that hold zero value to get jobs that too from fake no credit colleges whose sole purpose was to make money with this scam. Whole ecosystem of corruption was created under this scam, there were even bank officials taking bribes to show enough funds in students account just by transferring money just for one day for students visa purposes. These students are acquiring no higher skills, but only filled the cheap labor jobs. They also lied to immigration officer that they have enough funds to live and will return to home countries after the course is finished. Rather, these students misused the local public services like food banks meant for poor people.

Allow people speaking English but not German to enter the workforce.

The only reason for me to choose Germany is ability to get residence permission in 3 or 5 years and keep original citizenship (I need 5 because I'm pretty sure I will not get C1 for 3 years). In terms of salary (I'm working in IT and have a 18+ years experience) I'd loose about 20% comparing to my original country, but living cost here +100% ))\nSo, we spent with my wife about 18k euros of our savings per year and started everything from scratch - it is hard but possible.\nHope I'll increase my salary later and we will not spend a lot on furnitures, appliences etc.\n+1 benefit: cycling all year round - almost no snow - Perfect!\nI didn't have problems with language in Dusseldorf - 90% speaks english, 10% or even more - russian (shops, banks, tax centers, burgerburo - no problems)

In germany, even your skilled and good at work if you don't speak as good like NATIVE AS THEM you are still low human being to them, and disrespected.
