As a Canadian - the immigration tom-foolery that is happening is just as bad up here. Our Prime Minister is a handsome idiot, he was a drama teacher before he became Prime Minister (I know, make that one make sense). He has no idea what he's doing, he's being used as a puppet for more experienced extortionists-erm-politicians. With the help of his party members and a coalition with another party, in less than ten years he has taken Canada from a great place to visit and live to basically what's happening in NY. Crime in our cities has gone up dramatically. Theft is on the rise. Homelessness and drug use is through the roof. Immigration is out of control. And our government also prioritizes immigrants and asylum seekers before born and raised Canadian citizens. As a Canadian who is tired of the nonsense that's been happening in the world this past decade, I wish our government would put on their big boy pants and do something about this uncontrolled immigration. Things are bad here too. Our government seems to keep changing policies and laws to further accomodate the insanity that is happening, I promise, not every Canadian wants these changes to happen. We are just as sick and tired of all this nonsense as our American cousins. I wouldn't be surprised if both countries at some point united in objective and worked together to fix this problem - but that's not gonna happen anytime soon as long as these dummies are in power. But believe me, the regular people of Canada see what you're going through because it's also happening in our own back yard. The US needs to start charging all the countries the illegals are coming from for every person we have to support. I bet theyd crack down in their own country more if qe did that. Im sick of paying for illegals when our own people cant get a penny of help!!

When I'm out with my camera gear, I'll always carry something with me for protection now.\nParks have become little tent cities.\n\nMy dad's pension has recently been reduced, and this has happened with many seniors, all who payed into it for their entire life. It's already difficult making ends meet with a steady income, now imagine how it is for seniors on a fixed income. \n\nIn less than 5 years I went from spending no more than $150/week on groceries, to upwards of $300-400...and that includes cutting back on what I buy AND not to mention companies shrinking the size of packages. \n\nPP and the CPC might not fix things, but anyone who rewards the imbecile Liberal/NDP collation is in dire need of an MRI to see if they have a functioning brain.

The Migrant are coming from Germany (Europe) to Canada, if they messed up so hard, that they need to leave the Country. I know it from a Migrant.

I’m a U.S. citizen living in Thailand. It costs me $2000.00 a year for a retirement visa. I need to check in every three months. I can not own land or a house. The U.S. is a third world country.

Old mother India has out spawned its own pond..Its country CANNOT and DOES not offer a future to its people. Thats a failure by any normal standards. What gets me is, just how many millions have just arrived in other countries in the world. Their numbers and communities exported and imported so solidly everywhere. Within 2 years here in the uk, I am sure there are now, somehow more Indians here than ALL the other groups put together. Its astounding to see the indigenous and others be outnumbered by one group (south Asian continentals) in such s sudden and impactful way. With these movements Politics change, voter types, the , the shared future vision, shared cultural norms, etc resources like public transport trains, rosd traffic, shops, hospitals, public spaces are jam packed overall. No more quiet or isolated spaces, just 24hr pushing, shoving, shouting, mobile phone worship and loud speaker, conference video calling (my God this one grates my soul) destroys the respectful unspoken social and shared rule of EVERYONE else somehow, its insane! The place has no time or space to think. Blink and your place has gone. In every sense: social opportunities, place in queues job opportunities(as they set up internal networks that u are excluded from) aka as smugglers and their smuggled, housing bidding, corrupting of housing laws, benefit fraud all massive problems for local authorities and larger government overall. Under clearer terms and better conditions and planning Im with migration as a theme. Mass intinction to enable mass migration lol maybe less so!! Good luck to us all, we need it. In most of history, a country would consider this an act of war. Another country can’t just allow a massive flood of foreign entities into another nations borders and not have it be considered an act of aggression. The USA should annex Canada. Clearly, they are not capable of running their own nation and protecting their own borders.\n\nIf the US were to annex Canada controlling the borders would be easy in the north if you just shut down the ports and airports. There are no countries in north of it to enter from on land. No need to build a ridiculously huge expensive wall like some people are trying to say in the comments.

So now Canada like Mexico are not protecting their boarders America needs to start law suits but these countries letting them cross the borders and not stopping them before

Just remember that the Canadian population of the whole country is less than the population in the State of California. We are also spread out over a land mass that is bigger than the whole of the United States. We don't really have the vast amount of people needed to completely control the longest boarder in the world. So while the government needs to up their involvement in this situation, patrolling this boarder is impossible.

I feel bad for migrants that need help, but its also not the responsibility of the citizens of this country who are already hurting because of the crappy policies of politicians that don’t give a fuck about us.

I've been saying this all while everyones eyes have been on our southern borders that why isn't anyone looking at our northern borders as they have to be just as bad if not worse. Distrackting everyones eyes from the norrh as everyone looks south is the most mind blowing by DC.qnd all our Politicans. Love how they can get help honestly I do but it is not fair to everyone else specially the families that were born here and needed help for years already. Absolutely incorrect. Mexican nationals need visas to go into Canada. It doesn’t matter what country you’re from. If you fly to another country, you need a visa or a passport.

I agree we need better border protection, but it's foolish to think, like Trump claims, that international terrorists are crossing our southern border when most are coming from countries closer to our northern border. It is less patrolled and easier to cross.

I am going to tell you all the truth. I moved away from Canada in 2006 and lived in China up until 2019 (moved back to Canada). I saw China develop into a superpower, hiccups and inflation galore. But taxes are relatively fair and the opportunity to build something was always present. I find Canada has become a terrible choice especially now (totally neutral standpoint). If you didn't get into the housing market pre-pandemic, it will be harsh and you will be either a mortgage or tenant slave. The taxes are outrageous, utilities, insurance... these items are MUCH higher than China (and most countries). Owning a vehicle comes with high costs and you basically need one if you don't live in a top tier city. And then you are overpaying in living costs. Income tax (25-60%), property tax (about a month's salary), HST (13%)... and what do you get in return? A broken healthcare system, more freedoms (debatable), your children learning about woke agendas? An inadequate pension? If you are not in the top 5-10% (and I am), this is a very bad deal. My advice is to try to earn online with a passion and live in a location where you can actually save. Coming to Canada for the experience is great. But trying to build up in Canada is not a great choice. I am on the winning side warning you, Canada is saturated... look elsewhere.
