I love Canada. It's fantastic that we don't have to worry about safety. One thing I do like about America is that you have the right to defend your home with as much force as you want. In Canada it can be difficult to defend yourself because they can make the claim that you used too much force to remove someone. I think that's bs. If you're in my house without my consent, I should be able to do whatever I want to get you out. It's my house.

After Holidaying in NYC I can confirm that the Food and Tap water is pretty bad . Great fun though. One thing I like about the states is that they get sport right.

I’m traveling rn, so I talk to a lot of internationals about the pros and cons of American. The greatest pros would be we are definitely the land of opportunity, so if you want make a lot of money there’s no country better. The people also have this optimism about the future that’s not as prevalent around the world, and the country is very diverse which means you can find a state that matches you want. However the downsides would be the stark wealth inequality, and lackluster healthcare. The polarization between the left and right, and the crazy urban sprawl which you never get used to.\n I think the inequality is due to us having this bootstraps mentality when it comes to success. Whenever I tell other Americans how lucky I am they’re quick to say that it’s all due to my worth ethic, but life is a lot more nuanced. Regardless I still love my country, and can’t see myself living anywhere else. ??

I think those of us that live here in the states that are in states that are close to Canada are fortunate because we get the best of both worlds. I'm from Detroit and we visit regularly because it's right across the river. I've been to Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and use to visit Windsor often. We started going to Canada at a young age because it was legal to drink at 19 when we found that out we were there at least once a month back then. I've always enjoyed my time in Canada I'll be back there soon.

It’s visibly noticeable as soon as you hop on the metro. Start on the orange line on the VA side, the crowd is bright. But if you stay on long enough, go through DC and end in MD, it gets dark. It's all about perspective. First of all people come and leave every country on a yearly basis. 2nd You are right about the healthcare system it definitely could be much better but it beats living in the states where you could be wiped out with an expensive health challenge that insurance won't fully cover or just covers 75% and leave you on the hook for 25%. That still can be hundreds of thousands of dollars. 3rd you mentioned that it's cold, and you noticed that being black with an accent made you stand out and seem different. Well you have to realize you moved to a different country so you will be different to the people who live there. I don't mean to sound harsh but that's just common sense. As long as you have the equal opportunities and are being treated equal in regards human and civil rights then I don't understand your reason to point out the obvious of being observably different in a foreign land and experiencing different weather or activities. It doesn't make sense to move to a different country but expect the same things you experience in your previous country. I immigrated to Canada from the states and it was a bit different for me as well but I had to come to the realization that I wasn't in North Carolina anymore and I shouldn't expect the country to change for me. That's not how the world works. 4th and final point. Ontario is expensive, so yea you can't get ahead there. Move to Alberta where cost of living is cheaper, Calgary has the most sun out of all the cities and it's typically really cold only for a couple weeks in the winter with decent summers.

You're absolutely right! Getting a job when you're qualified but a newcomer is the hardest part and the funniest thing is that the interviewers I've meet (a lot) were all immigrants as well! It's like people come here and forget how to help each other which is really sad.

I studied in Australia for 3 years. The Indian restaurant owner I worked for dint pay me my AUD 5200. When I asked him he threatened me, I dint know my rights then so I backed off. Came back home and applied for various jobs then I came to know that my degree is useless and it’s not of any use in getting a good job. My dad spent nearly AUD 32000 fees in total plus I paid thousands of dollars in rent, clothes, gadgets, food and transportation.

I live in Canada for 20 years, I volunteered in a shutter couple of times preparing and serving food, I haven't seen any black person that's homeless, Winnipeg to be a specific where I lived, where homeless is higher there, yet you showing black people in your video as homeless?! that's just tells me you are racist yourself. \nwhere I used to live, black people especially the immigrants are business owners, and they're hard working people. \nWe all know who are the homeless and why they are homeless not because they can't find job but because they have mental problems then they end up to drugs addictions. I've spent 22-ish years hitchiking and hopping freight trains around Canada in the summer and I get the impression you are basing this solely off wikipedia entries and haven't actually been to most of these places. Winnipeg for starters is one of the most comfortable cities in the country to be in during the dead of summer in terms of it feeling nice but lot like a fuckin nuclear hellscape. Calling the humidity there a problem is a bit of a joke too, you should check out Vancouver/Toronto/Montreal/Halifax right around the end of July and see whats up hahaha.

It was obvious right from the start that this was just a set-up to make Canada look better. It came across as biased to get the desired outcome. I like Canada and Canadians but you do love to pat yourself on the back. I've lived in 6 places in the USA including Alaska and have been to Canada many times and have Canadian friends and neighbors here in the Arizona where I live now. Despite what you hear, most places are very safe here. All in all, I would still prefer to live in the USA.

Canada is the greatest country in the world! It's a free country way more freer than USA and it's a very rich country way more richer than USA and has much more money than USA. There's more rights, money and opportunities in Canada than USA. They have every American thing as well as their own stuff. The people are very, very nice, friendly and sweet and will be your best friend and take care of you and look out for you. The cost of living is cheaper in Canada than in USA and you pay lower taxes and get more money. Everything in Canada is so much, much better than in USA. Canada is heaven!

This is for liberals to get new voters bc Canadians are sick of Trudeau . As someone who voted for ppl in every party the last 2 prime ministers were the worst in our history . I would like to add that same happened to me in my father's case who passed away. The officer was hostile for no good reason, not once but twice. I am still trying to get any information from them. He openly threatened me that he will not provide me with any information and that he is the only point of contact to get information. Why? I still struggle to understand. If they can abuse their power to hold death over someone, why not right? Like the lady, I had provided extensive documentation still threats. He accused me of random things, spoke in a very condescending tone from hello. He was extremely upset about me calling from USA for whatever reason. I fail to understand where is humanity.

Untold truth that you find out when you get here….They do Human trafficking and psychological domination by lying to people from other Countries to get them here it is so sad to see we try to be as nice as we can to people getting here but life is so miserable to find out you were lied to…..The truth is that we are born to have children and a family….and about the health care system is under attack and destroyed as well as our governing structure media’s educational and more being destroyed so you have to be really careful to survive right now for Canadians can you imagine people coming from other Countries being lied to and abused? I get it this is a issue of religious sensitivity. I’m from Canada and we cannot open carry knives or firearms it’s against the law, even pepper spray is illegal. In the USA the law differs from state to state and schools and universities have their own policies. Usually you can get permission to carry a kripan in school if the blade is not sharp and it’s hidden under clothing. Schools are always understanding and allow it. Sikh or not, religious reason or not, if you openly carry a knife strapped to your chest to a crowded university like the guy in the video did some one is going to call the cops on you. Have some common sense. Yes, religion is a right but it also comes with responsibility.

I know that the actions seen out here in the video is kind of an extrem, but I believe whatever measures were taken it was for the welfare of keeping everybody safe in which my Sikh brother had no bad intentions but it was all an honest mistake.  According to my understanding he could've worn the Kripan under his T-shirt.. no disrespect to nobody but I'm here with all my Love and Respect to all.. \nAnd He being out of India.. people might have heard or know about Sikhism but respectively being in a totally different country it'll be a cultural shock to some of its fellow country's residents and that too he is in an educational environment or zone where a lot of unfortunate events had occur in the past few years due to violence.. so taking these reasons and unfortunate incidents under consideration.. our dear Sikh brother did not do anything wrong in openly carrying a Kripan (knife) for it is his cultural right and had gone some kind of a rituals in order to carry a Kripan for self-defense. But people will still feel some kind of uneasiness when it comes to weapons seen in and around educational area or zones. \nSo whatever measures had been taken for the safty of all.. especially by the security as he was doing his job by understanding the situation. Don't leave your territory your country. It's right in context to other countries. If you go to different nation it's their rules their land. For example Muslim nations don't allow other religions and practices in their territory while they do all they want in different countries. You can't have a citizenship in middle eastern countries and half of the middle eastern people are American now. Rules are equal for all, don't get offended though.

Maybe he has religious intentions but we need to understand its not India, its USA and they have their own laws + there are many many incidents where school shooting happens or people get killed by things so people are scared of anything that they think can harm them. I wonder if I can carry any weapon I want on me anywhere no matter what, because of my fake religious beliefs? Check out the UK, over a million people not being able to afford heat last winter. Electricity is going to rise now in October then again in January. It is a second rent we will be paying, no joke!!! Health System is a disaster here. Our NHS is not getting the support they need to be good. Food prices is sky rocketing we see food banks coming up all over the place with long queues. I hear from others in other countries, that are going through the same thing. I don't think you are alone. The entire world is going through something right now and the people are sadly suffering in silence. It is a sad situation and very difficult. I don't think it's a Canada situation only.
