Well, it is called the great white north. One person said there's no prejudices in Canada, I guessed it's not true.

The way the video is made, it looked like it was trying to highlight issues with Canada, but honestly Im not really seeing anything problematic. They have managed to keep income levels high, while keeping inequality low. They are the 14th most competitive economy, and do fairly well to maintain business activity without having giant monopoly businesses eat up the small man. Sounds great to me. The only issue just seems to be the housing crises

Can someone tell me if Canada is a good place to move for a couple of years? I'm from the UK but lived in Spain for most of my life. The reason I want to leave Spain is because the average salary is low and job security I.E work contracts are all terrible unless you're in a big city like Madrid or Barcelona. Plus I live in a tourist/ retired destination so work here is seasonal as we are only busy over the summer time and trying to meet people around my age 20, 30s is difficult. I've heard so many good things about Canada from people I know but looking into some more I'm seeing that there's a big financial issue for those who plan to move over as the taxes are very high. I'm just looking to come over for a couple of years, save some money and then move back to the UK. If anyone that has travelled to Canada for a few years could let me know what its like now that would be great ?.

Althought Canada is a inferior business country relative to US. Atleast our banking system is strong, that notion of us being risk averse is a good thing. \nThe 08 crash, and now the current on going banking crisis in the US really tells you the level of risks taken by US firms. \nUS businessess are much quicker to fire you, much faster to destroy unions. For the average working person, Canada offers more. \nOur healthcare is great. I am saying this as a person who has been in and out of surgeries of different types since the age of 5 and still going through some at 24... \n\nCanada is a strong economy with good natural resources to exploit. but it is expensive relative to the US. \n\nMy general view is, for a non-white person, Vancouver, Toronto are great places to be across all of Canada and the US.

Friend, I hope you haven’t left. I think you’re making a terrible mistake. I’ve lived in Calgary for 29 years. Our stats people are tricky. You will not find a house in Calgary for under $600k. Unless you plan to live in a very impoverished, run-down, and dangerous area. In a “good” suburb, not great, you’re looking at $686K - $749K. Most are now selling between $812K - $1M. I’m sorry my friend, those stats are a mirage. They blend in cheap apartments in Edmonton into those stats. For petroleum engineering, congrats for finishing those studies, but it’s been a long-standing political battle in Canada; Albert vs. Ontario on this issue. The current liberal government is openly trying to destroy the industry you’re in and you will struggle immensely to find work.

1st job in Canada being customer service at a tough place gets great reviews most employers love the grit and drive that we have

Canada used to be a great country. I have a very hard time saying that it is today. The government focuses on the wrong issues and taxes it's people to death. There was a time when $100k used to get you somewhere. Nowadays, it gets you a modest house mortgage, and one vehicle with just enough left over to put some food on the table.

Canada is going down the hill slow and steady Id say it used to be great but canadians are the easies ppl to take advantage off, unlike france where they stand up for thier rights canadians r ok with paying for whatever, we have some of the highest data rate, internet, rent, grocery you name it we got it.

As a Canadian I’m thankful to have grown up in such a great place. But it still bothers me to how little our growth has been. Canada has every tool required to be a fully self sustained global powerhouse. Yet nothing has been done to achieve this goal

Great video! Just to clarify, All post secondary schools in Canada charge tuition fees for their programs for PR and Canadian citizens, and is lower than international students fee. The provincial govt can loan you the fee after admission and you pay back when you are done. To clarify, is not free after secondary education. Thank you.

Reg patents @ 6.12, USA filed almost 17X number of applications than Canada according to 2021 WIPO data. Also China filed 3X that of USA. Patents per person may not be a great parameter for measuring innovation. It's the nurturing of intelligent minds, innovation platform, and focussed Gov support that matter. Also, the invention aspects of individual patents matter more than mere numbers of incremental innovations.

I would add that because of the lack of investment in businesses and an open immigration policy while over-prioritizing Canadian only experience there is a huge underemployment problem especially amongst highly skilled and experienced immigrants who would mainly wait to get the Canadian passport and move down south to the US where evaluations of international experience is more objective. Lots of low to medium skilled jobs. Dear Canada, I say this as an immigrant, if you don’t have enough high skilled jobs don’t open your borders or make it clear you want low skilled immigrants. That said, Canada is great country with minimal crime and is fairly equal. Problem is, it’s hard to get out of the rat race here.

Canada is a female led society. All companies are headed by women in this day and age, all departments etc. Only menial grunt labour is staffed by men.\nThis is the grand experiment we've watched fail in real time, what happens when women are in charge? Disaster. Great reset. And it's happening, for good reason. Let it.

So spot on! House of Commons should watch this video 10 times and act! What's the point of being the most educated nation when you lose all your talent to US. Innovation should be highly encouraged by the government and any new tech/science companies that produce value should be paying way less tax to stay and continue generating value in Canada. Canada has great universities and losing all its talents to US, so not acceptable.

That's all BS, biggest problem facing Canada is RENT PRICES.\n\nApart from that country is great.

it's funny I moved to Canada a little over a year ago and I want to move back to Australia for some of the reasons you want to leave Australia and more. Housing affordability here is a pipe dream unless you like living near mountains and want a laid back life like the life in Perth, in Calgary. But Calgary's job market is not great and that pretty much extends to every province except Ontario and BC. Living cost in Canada is very high... compared to what I experienced in AU, this is more expensive than living in Sydney. (I live in Toronto but this extends to Vancouver as well.) The healthcare system is weak, inefficient and inconvenient. Bureaucracy is again very slow, inconvenient and in some cases so backwards. Banking is not great, super inconvenient, not people-centric, inefficient and very much backward imo.. work-life balance or quality of life is way better in AU. Infrastructure development is slow and not great at all for a world-class country and personally, I expected better from Toronto.. (I do understand why it is the way it is right now, some justified reasons but some not so much) Things I do give props to CA... Diversity and inclusiveness is not just marketing slogan like in AU.. I don't feel like an outsider here... Its incredible. Job market is here much better than in AU. If you're moving from a country like AU, you will feel how capitalism here is made to make more money out of you every step of the way. But also, you will see how you can use that system to make alot of money. I think Canada is a great place to live if you're an entrepreneur or business person and making money is a primary requirement. But if you're someone who loves quality of life and work-life balance and want to probably own a good house, right now CA is not there. Also this doesn't mean CA isn't great, its fantastic... but compared to AU, canada comes short in many fronts. Also I love the weather here even if we have a pretty long winter.

Canada is basically another state of US at this point. Canada has independent domestic policies just like any US state but foregin policis are Washington lead. Canada has great educational instuation just like many other US state but ultimately, the graduates leave for better states in the US to get better pay. Almost all export of Canada is to US and almost all import are from same US suppliers from Asia. Some will say Canada is very different from US in the way people act and live their life. That is true but even inside US, California is very different from Texas and New York is very different from Iowa. Just goes to show different states have different lifestyle but are still part of the same country.\nThis is not a bad thing, in fact Canada is lucky to have access to the biggest market of the world. Being under US security umberlla means no one will attack you. Canada's government know this so they made policies that lead to integration with US economical and defence system.

The perfect place don’t exist, and Canada is one of the best place to live honestly. About homeless that’s true, but at the same time this situation generate many jobs opportunities for social workers, counselling etc in order to help this situation. I have been living here for 14 years and this is a great place to live.

Great job but you only talked about the skilled people or professionals. Please, if you have information, kindly talk about people who went to Canada illegally. How do they survive and how do they find their pathway to a residence permit.

Canada life is great, provided you work your *** off. \n\nDon’t come to Canada and do begging on the streets or get free money from government. \n\nWe as Canadians cannot be paying for this as these free money will raise taxes.\n\nCanada winters are harsh so if you are don’t like cold then just stay home.\n\nRents are high as well especially in cities so is your cost of living.

Every single reason you mentioned about why you left Vancouver (Canada) is valid. My husband and I left Vancouver a couple of years ago and have been living in Spain since then. It's been an eye opener. The Covid situation was especially bad and I hate to see how politicians have divided Canada. Under Trudeau, Canada has become a tyrannical state. I am not sure if there will be any hope for change since most Canadians watch CBC and have been brainwashed to believe he has done great for the country.

Something is not adding up. People are coming to America, yet others are leaving? I always thought Canada was a great place to raise children. And they really care about their people. In America you are like cattle. The only difference is , is that you don’t walk around with a noticeable tag on your ear, our SS is our tag.

Enough is enough! These stories of chaos, stresses me out.\nHow on earth are we to handle all these people from Venezuela, Cuba, Central America. Haiti is a lawless place too.\nAll ask for asylum, but that excuse doesn't fit because they aren't being persecuted for religious or political reasons. Asylum laws state the asylum seeker must apply at the first democratic country they arrive at and that's not the US.\nThese are economic migrants and some fleeing drug and domestic violence. \nCanada and the US recently agreed that Canada gets to deport back to the US, any migrant that crosses into Canada from the US....great for Canada but not for us.?\nCanada has a great system with a list of all legal migrants. If you're not on the list, you get no services.\nThe countries that send their people up here are thrilled because the remittances sent back to these countries amount to billions of dollars and props up their economies....US$58.5 billion was sent to Mexico, from migrants in the US! ?

I will say I have been lucky in Calgary (moved to Alberta in 2011; became perm res in 2018) with my healthcare. I have a great liver specialist and family doctor as well as a backup. I just fell and cut the back of my head Monday (2 staples but nicely done; I do not feel any pain). I know that is not common for people. I think some of it is timing based on the comments. It will only get better if we quit USing it (i.e. politicizing it). As an ex-pat watching that dumpster fire, moving to Canada in 2010 (first year in YVR) was the right step for me (however, that said, being that I am plain white looking male, I know that made it so easy at least until I applied for Perm Res. Then, being a white american worked against me). Luckily, I had been involved with a Canadian citizen several years whom sponsored me for Perm Res. I really enjoy seeing your POV in your videos. Thanks for posting them.

@MaketheChange Hello ?. Thank you for this great video. I am very interested in coming to Canada on a woek permit but so far I've had no success in finding a job there from my country. I have 5 years accounting experience and more than 10 years experience in the banking industry. I have 3 questions for you.\n(1) Please tell me who are the are recruiting agents for accounting and finance jobs. \n(2) I am thinking of getting my visitors visa and coming to Canada to search for a job as the government has now opened that option. What do you think of this idea and what suggestions do you have for finding a job in canada while on a visitors visa?\n(3) You spoke about finding remote jobs from one's country. Can you please say how I find a remote job with a Canadian company?\nThank you.

Anyone who actually stops investigates will find that almost every major country ( UK, France , Germany, Japan , Korea) are facing the same issues on matters such as affordibility and health care issues . All one has to do is read publications such as The Economist to see the evidence . During my career - I an recently retired - I was located in a few other countries and Canada still remains a great country with opportunties . I also know that most who claim they will never come back almost always do because there comes the point where they are older and have health issues and in most cases they come back to Canada. At the same time, we are charged excessive fees for internet and cell phone useage. I note that both major political parties ( the Liberals and the CPC) ever take any real action to address the excessiv charges rendered by Shaw, Rogers, Bell Media, and similar conglomerates .

HORDES OF THE APOCALYPSE \nCanada doesn't have the resources to stop 1 million+ newcomers from the US every year, while Biden and company don't care much about closed borders, so once the republicans regain power, illegals in America will stampede into Canada on a scale never seen before in history, mostly in Ontario and Québec, but also the West: The federal and provincial governments are powerless to stop this coming migration of newcomers into Canada because the border is very great and the wave is an ocean of peoples from the US southern border. The newcomers are socialized in despotic and troubled countries, so their strengths, tenacity and hardened ways will cause them to displace traditional Canadian minorities, and they will soon control the levers of big city political and economic power. Whosoever stands in their way, namely Darwinian and Marxian elites, will be ruthlessly cut down. The worldhood of the world is the worldization of the world's worldality, the worldliness of the world, viz., the worldline: The developmental unification of the coaxial integration of the American world. Hi! Great video and generally balanced in terms of the ideas expressed. Having lived in Canada for a very long time, I have to say that it's a good place to be but the two glaring problems are: 1- the healthcare system is broken. It's very hard to see a doctor and even harder to see a specialist. We pay a lot of taxes and at the end of the day we don't get the services that we paid for. I'd rather pay out of pocket but get to see a doctor when I need one. 2- Canada is a Nordic country so you'd better like winter when living here. By contrast in the US you have a variety of climates so easier to find something that works for you. The cost of living is, I agree, very high in Canada, but it all depends. If you compare it to living in California or New York City, I'd say that our cost of living is cheaper. But in the US you do have the choice to live in a more affordable mid-size city, while in Canada options are much more limited (big cities only include Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary).

Hi there gal we don’t say guys, it’s sexist!\n\n \n\nInteresting take on your move to the great white north.\n\nI can imagine coming from Russia to Canada was a shock.\n\nYou have pointed out so many things that are so normal in the west.\n\nAs I have never lived in Russia, I have no idea what it must be like there.\n\nJudging by your reaction to your observations of Canada Russia must be so\n\nmuch easier place to live..?\n\nYour comments on homeless, work-market, tax system etc. gives me the impression that\n\nthe Russian system must be so much better…?\n\nFrom my experience from living in numerous western countries, I regard Canada as average.\n\nThe UK and the USA are awful places to live. Although this is not the case if you have money, same as anywhere else. The same can be said if you are poor life is an awful struggle.\n\nWell except in Russia…?\n\n \n\nI have stayed in Canada on numerous occasions and I have never experienced any real cultural clashes.\n\nWell some of the newer Canadians seem to think that if anything goes against them it’s discrimination. Moreover, some of the newer Canadians are very racist towards the more established immigrants i.e. who have been living there for more generations.\n\nThe fact that some companies have “white” non-immigrant boards is reflection on the competence factor. I have experienced companies that have employed new Canadians with non-western backgrounds that are totally disasters because they have no idea about the work culture, language, way of treating staff etc.\n\nI think that you YT page is like a lesson about how immigrants from non-western countries perceive and misinterpret the west’s work culture, society and culture.\nHave experienced some new immigrant bosses who are so elitist and discriminating i resigned. Wrote review about the company on LINKEDIN.\n\n\nDon’t expect that there is any discrimination in Russia…?

As a Canadian moving to the U.S, I can tell you for sure that Canada is a divided country headed for economic ruin. We lose at everything, we cannot build projects without unbearable red tape, approve any energy projects or really provide any economic value at this point. Canada is the only First world country that is headed backwards towards third world country status. I love this country, it has all the raw ingredients (Great people, Fun culture, Endless resources to extract) and we still manage to fail at the federal level. Take it from a born and raised Canadian who is being forced out of my own country.
