Canada has been through this before with pierre senior , it took 20 years and 18 % interest rates to fix . justin did exactly the same thing only he's blaming everything else and is not planning on a fix nor do I think he's looking for one .

Unfortunately the only way to fix the house in crisis is by popping the bubble and stopping all immigration and all permanent redesidency an increasing interest rate to about 25 plus percent

He blames everything else except himself, while he drives up Canada's deficit and inflation, combined with record low interest rates! This is the real reason for the high cost of homes!

Born in Eastern Europe (four-season climate), I thought I will get used to the weather in Canada ( Toronto ) but being in 'the dark' for 7 months gets you in time - high suicidal rates and depression not to exclude the drug and alcohol abuse of the populous. I love the sun and water scenario (not the humid one as a result of lake Ontario) wish I knew all that years ago when I had to make a choice.

As someone from Toronto the housing is so expensive and i have no clue how the crime rates are so low considering the news everyday. personally I love Nova Scotia

I am from Alberta, I live just outside the capital city of Edmonton. Edmonton has the highest crime rate in Alberta but it is still a very great place to live.

I’m sad to see Manitoba here spoken of so sadly. I love living here. Yes there are mosquitos in the summer, and extreme weather. The home values make the province very very livable. Those working in trades make more and spend less than those in many provinces (and states). Winnipeg has a great art scene, lots of sports, etc. yes, we do have a high homeless & jobless rate. We also have a very high Native American rate, which has its own historical struggles.

I would dispute the cost of living argument putting Quebec at #1. I'm from there, and in Quebec, you have extremely high tax rates, almost no social services (since the health care system started imploding in the 90s and has the only such system in Canada that is almost completely non-transportable across provinces as Quebec refuses to pay anyone else or delays payment for so long, other provinces give up). Daycare workers don't even make minimum wage, the education system is heavily politicized and extremely poor (far too many teachers who couldn't care less about their students and do little work), rents are quite high in most cities, especially when you couple them with the high tax rates and the infrastructure is among the worst in North America. There are good points about Quebec, but I put it about on par with Montana or Alabama for what it offers the population, compared to costs. And then there's the wonderfully racist and nationalist government that feels it's a crime to wear a scarf.

Never forget: Saskatchewan's top 2/3 is Canadian Shield. Not really my idea of a boring landscape IMO. The Cree Lake region is also home to the largest collection of Aboriginal pictographs in the entire Canadian Shield. Basically all of the pictographs are only accessible by canoe/boat/plane. Only a windy skinny gravel road 20km north of la ronge goes the rest of the 800km to athabasca to uranium city.\n\nPlus Prince Albert....wooo wee that towns a jungle. Worst crime rate in a town you can walk across in an hour.

The unemployed rate is high in nfld because the system is rigged. You're better off on welfare than you are making minimum wage. A able bodied person getting taken care of ,where's the motivation. And you forgot we got the highest rate of people on welfare that owns pickup trucks and skidoos anywhere in Canada. And my your big gib draw boys.

I am from Prince Albert, SK... and boy, we have a high crime rate(also, cops take more than 30minutes to arrive in emergency calls)... Homicides every other day, robbery and shoplifting are the most known crimes here...

I’m from Canada and I’ve been to Quebec twice. And I’ll tell you if you don’t speak French in quite a few places they will ignore you. Even in Quebec eight divided there’s a French speaking areas and then there’s English-speaking areas. Canadians rate it has the least friendliest province.

I actually don't object , particularly, to my high taxes in Canada. I do object to the fact that it took me , 15 extra working years to achieve a reasonable income due to the cost of an education being beyond my reach. Now that I have a reasonable income, I find those high taxes spent poorly. Dental care and extended medical or medications? Not covered.\n\nSo where do these high taxes go? Comparing my tax rate to the functional half of Europe's countries, it's about the same, more or less. \n\nBut they have better health care, affordable education and housing.\n\nAnd as others have pointed out, despite living in the biggest city, it's still relatively boring to many of the Major cities I've stayed in globally.\n\nI recommend Canada to immigrants who would enjoy a Rural or Suburban lifestyle that still has access to amenities and infrastructure. There are more opportunities in some ways, and the costs of living are much more affordable. But if you are interested in an urban life with what that has come to mean globally, the best Canadian cities can offer you is 'diverse restaurant options'.

The housing market is out of control due to money laundering and low interest rates, national debt is rapidly increasing, inflation rising rapidly, the medical 'emergency' is out of control and destroying the economy and civil liberties. Europeans are becoming a minority in every major city, and If you think that white minority is going to be treated kindly, you're for a rude awakening.

Good video overall, but HUGE WARNING - You quoted the Fraser Institute (11:07) regarding the tax rates. They are not a research institute - they are a neoliberal think-tank that is openly anti-tax, anti-government and has the agenda of discrediting all social programs and social spending. The tax rate is Canada for individuals is actually quite reasonable for the social programs. I'm a Canadian living in Germany now, and I love it here, but we pay way more tax.

Canadian's are losing everything. Immigration needs to end. This country can't afford to provide for more immigrants. As lifelong Canadian. I can't pay more taxes to provide for people that are going to draw down our standard of living. Working for less than the going rate. And eventually take part of my Canada pension. In Canada from last 15 years and living a decent life as a single. I have no plans to start family or to own real estate. Canada is much better than the overpopulated places I have been to before. Canada in my opinion is hybrid between developed and developing countries. It has dysfunctional health system, Government doesn't do things that would directly benefit citizens, money laundering from other countries has made real estate unaffordable for ordinary citizens, no incentive to develop new cities so 2/3 rd of the population lives in 7-8 major cities, higher inflation rates, harsh Winter.

Quebec has the highest income tax rates, the poorest healthcare system, and I know how my wife got into a life threatening situation becaus of the indigence of the system, her colleague lost her father becaus the hospital did forget to call him for hs cancer surgery!!! You cn wait up to 10 years to get a family doctor! Don't let the slaughtered french language and faux france feel fool you. Queec is a dump! And btw, bill 96 plans to reduce english speaking clinics, services to the anglophones, and reduce the possibility for french speaking queneckers to attend englis community colleges. I can’t say I agree with Quebec as number one, tax rates are huge when you factor in property taxes, car insurance, plus they have the most expensive gas, outside of NFLD. The people are mostly rude when it comes to those that cannot speak French (yes I’m unilingual English not by choice, my hearing is bad). In support of my opinion, I have travelled (camping) in every province and territory except the Yukon. I have met some amazing people kind, friendly helpful, sadly I cannot apply that to Quebec. I wish this would not be the case as there are many parts of the province I would love to go see.

Saskatchewan has a high crime rate but almost no one lives there just dont go to prince albert or north battleford and your fine and it is beautiful weather anytime as long as there isnt much wind

I am preparing to run away from Canada mainly because of hidden crime rate that is disastrously high (government targeting of innocent citizens), theft, racism and discrimination. Also Canadian companies do not like forigners to take their jobs and keep everything secret at work place. So new comers will be doing very low-brain kind of job. I was able to jump to very high levels in my profession and was training engineers and managers on electronic industry - even though they still dont want me to learn everything. So going back main homeland I can be more expert than them all. To me, Canada realy sucks.

I moved to Canada about 17 years ago and yes it is an absolute pain to jump through all the hoops they want you to go through. I was only here a few days and I came from Ireland as a brick and stone mason they recruited me from Ireland and wanted me to come out. Within three days on the job I learned I would be getting less wages than the other bricklayers. I packed up my tools and walked off the job I notified the employer and the union by emails and told him I’d be flying back home in a few days. Well the union and the employers came running straight away to get me to stay. Trying to explain that after a couple of months I’d be on the same money as the rest of the guys. This is where I explain to them that taking home C$1100 was already a pay cut a massive pay cut as are used to take home 2500 to 2200 Euros living in Ireland. I moved to Canada for a change of lifestyle but that doesn’t mean I was going to be taken advantage of. And that’s when they said they would pay me the same as everybody else. Sometimes you just have to stand up for yourself and be willing to follow through. They even reimbursed me for the airline ticket I bought to go back. Some skill sets they really need in this country in addition Canadians population growth is absolutely dependent upon immigration as the family sizes and birth rates are critically to lol to sustained a country. As I’ve said I’ve been living here 17 years now and I am a Canadian citizen I guess that makes me an Irish Canadian now.

I was raised in Brampton Ontario and when my family moved there from ?Nova Scotia there were a total of 20.000thousand people there and when I left there after my mother died I went west my brother stayed my father stayed for 10 more years then went back to NS and I went from BC to Edmonton To Prince Albert it would seem I go to every shit hole in Canada but when I left Brampton there were 3.8 million and when I went back to visit my father in N.S. and my brother in Brampton it was 6.8million and Pictou was the nicest Brampton sucked as the crime rate was crazy .When we were in EDENPARK DRIVE we were there first and the first Pakistani's moved in with the whole color scream hooked shoes with bells on the toes and robes we never seen be for and then finding out there child is named Happy that was different but when my father got a gas BBQ and he was cooking his first roast beef they were all out there cursing my father for cooking there sacred animal and he said dam right it is sacred that my f-ckin dinner.

This is actually really well done. As a person from Saskatchewan, I didn’t expect to be as high on the list as we were. But I like it. To go with our temperature swings and high crime rate (I blame that on us being one of the most racist provinces), we also get tons of beautiful skies, a peaceful life with friendly people, and nature to check out ranging from sand dunes and badlands to northern pine forests.

Rating provinces as a whole is really stupid, that’s be like rating the U.S while it contains both Texas and New York. Yes that’s how big Canadian provinces are, the super northern and the super southern, As well as east and west. have a completely different culture, attitude and accent. And sometimes even speak a different language. Yes contrary to what foreigners may think Quebec is not the only province with French speaking populations, as well there are some English speaking populations in Quebec.

As an islander I can say that pei isn't that good of a place it looks nice but we have high rates of asthma and cancer from the amount of pesticides thrown everywhere and besides the beaches it's really not worth living here it's more of a vacation place not a permanent residence place

Quebec is far from being the best province in Canada. Montreal is great but their is a disconnect with the rest of the province. The biggest export of Quebec is young people. Once they graduate from University they leave as the job opportunities are in Ontario and western Canada. The Quebec pension plan now pays out more than it takes in. The academics and politicians are hell bent to push the ‘vive la Quebec and French Uber alles’ that it turns off business and industry. An example is the pharmaceutical industry was all headquartered at one time in Quebec and it moved out to Ontario. The personal income tax rates are higher than most provinces and health care is not the best either.

Your the only person who would rank NFLD that far back. Life and weather in NFLD is not what people exaggerate it to be. Wrong!!! Quebec has the highest rate of fraud next to Africa. Not a great school system. As for speaking C. French... 78% of Quebecers can't speak English... maybe they should learn English. Landed here from NYC about 3 months ago, with only one year of working experience I didn't expect too much to find a good job. However, after only sending out about 40 applications I got 5 offers from them, and they are even paying better than I did in the US (not considering the exchange rate though), and they are not low-skilled jobs. I think for people with less experience and young it won't be a problem at all, just for those who have already established networks and gained much of the professional experience in their home countries will find it to be quite tough.

You did not mention low crime rates, relatively low pollution levels, clean cities or very high general level of literacy and education. These are all variables which make Canada a great place to live.

Just a correction at 11:00 minutes... the average according to your source in your bio Fraser Institute says the average is 39.1% and that’s in total taxes which means it’s not all taken off on the payroll. \n\nThat 39.1% includes Point of Sales taxes and other taxes over the year... it’s an average - So the rate of tax taken off on payroll by your employer automatically is much less than that.
