Justin Trudeau is destroying Canada and he won't leave until next election. Even ten years ago, housing wasn't out of reach for many Canadians. Now it is very difficult and I feel terrible for young Canadians and new immigrants.

Move to a different province if necessary.\n\nI am Ukrainian myself. I landed in Canada in 2021 and worked on a farm for almost minimum wage for two years. However, I got almost free housing and obtained my PR. \n\nThen I got a better job. There are plenty of jobs in Alberta where employers provide accommodation almost for free or completely free. The job may not be the best, but you can save money quickly. That's what I did. I worked another year for a sewer company, completed my trucking school, and now I have my Class 1. \n\nSome companies even pay for your trucking school, but you have to sign a contract for 1 or 2 years. They might not pay much, but hey, you'll get your Class 1. \n\nYou need to read more forums and talk with more people. Don’t just sit and wait for a miracle.

The bottom line is, Canada _is_ an immigrant country: we will keep accepting immigrants and international students and refugees and asylum seekers in the years to come, that’s just what Canada is about, but I do believe the government needs to manage the flow in a _smarter_ way - policies and regulations that both fulfill Canada’s labor needs, but also obviously do NOT cause the rest of the population to struggle to literally just survive.

i believe this is not Anti-Immigration because every immigrants must bring $$ when they enter in Canada. On the contrary, the main issue is refugees and asylum seekers as there is no background check (very dangerous for this beautiful country), and free housing, free food, free health care and free, free and free...who pay for these FREE??? I’m an immigrant from Europe, who’s been in Toronto for a decade and all I can say is that if this is going to continue to happen, I’ll be the first out of the country in the next couple of years as it’s unsustainable to continue bringing more people from others countries and specially from non western countries as it seems difficult for some to adopt Canadian values. Canada is going down the hill at an unprecedented pace.

International students contribute over CA$22.3 billion per year to the Canadian economy, so I don't think the government is going to stop that, they need that money to continue the growth of the Canadian economy, Canada is run by few monopoly companies that the main problem of Canada

I visited Canada 15 years ago and that was my vision of the country. Sadly, although still being a first world country, is decaying. Im living in Canada because that was my dream 15 years ago, and although still a good option, is definitely not what I was expecting.

Canada brought in 1 million immigrants from Jan 2021- Dec 2023, a 2.5% population increase. That, would be the equivalent of 8.75 million immigrants coming across the southern border over 2 years. Canada doesn't have jobs or housing for many, there's no checks and balances to see who are criminals. America needs to close their borders because 13000 asylum seekers is only the beginning. Trudeau cancelled the VISA requirements for Mexican travelling to Canada. It was recently changed back. Trudeau has over 1.2 million new arrives per year. We have an extreme housing shortage and so much tax. Those that arrive find it so expensive and lack of job opportunities and end up trying to get into the US also. Canada has become a prime place for crime money washing.
