They all immigrate to PEI because it is the quickest way to seek citizenship in the country, as soon as they gain it they move to Ontario. I have met many wonderful people from India through work and because of our government choosing to allow so many people over here without providing proper housing for not only the new immigrants, but also for our own native born citizens, there is nothing available at any decent price for young people like myself who want to move out from their parents homes. It's also causing a lot of people to be racist towards Indians when the fault truly lies in our government. And because we are allowing so many people over here without proper background checks and things such as that we are also allowing people over here that could pose a threat to women or others. I had a cab driver last week (who was from India) who tried to hit on me and told me he left India because he was getting into too many physical fights over in India and also told me he had gotten into physical fights with some of his customers as well. It was scary for me as a woman to be in a car with that man who was taking me to my home. The government needs to do better for us. We feel alone and ignored when it comes to this. The greed pushing this stupid, and not properly thought out, immigration policy needs to be put to an end so that the people who have lived here their whole lives can get a chance at life.

I would also add that canada is housing casino for foreign investors with money into Canadian real estate to clean their money while making huge profits running arbnb business, room rentals, flipping homes, having multiple home while not even Canadian citizen or barely living in Canada. I am in my 50’s, make $120k a year, owe about half that, rented, was just evicted when it doubled, am living in my car. If I disappear you’ll know why. But no one will notice because every fast food restaurant, every grocery store, every gas station, every townhouse, new condo, duplex and single family home is now owned by Indians, Muslims and Asians. This just looks to me like somebody making more of something than it is. I have no idea where the statistics come from but I cannot believe that there are so many more Indians coming in than any other immigrants from all over the world. Where I live in Canada the Tim Hortons are full of Filipinos, as are the old folks homes and so many other health services taken by Filipinos, which is very good and they are solid people. Most of the people commenting on Canada can't even imagine the quality of life. Even if you're Ambani, you'll still have to deal with pollution and dirt all over the place. Due to the influx of immigrants and recently poor governance of the country, it has slumped. Drugs and homelessness has increased but I've been settled here since the past two years and have had a considerable amount of work life balance and financial stability compared to back home. I did work for close to a decade in India yet could not accomplish what I did in 2 years here. Every country has it's pro's and cons and when it comes to healthcare yes it is sad but will be improved over time. If India was so great why are we taxed beyond question and not allowed to enjoy proper infrastructure and employment opportunities. Canadians are tired of our protests and whining for PR. People with no skills back home, can't land a job anywhere else. Period.

It's been 6+ years in canada , canada is no longer an immigrant country, has high food prices , has no jobs for freshers, has very high rental , has high car insurance, failed the medical system. I'm planning to move india soon. If you do not want to waste your 6 years like me to realize, stay back home. I'm proud, indian.with that mindset, sometime you have to face racism too.

5:56, although most information is correct, you can still afford home in some small cities and towns with lesser salary. Of course, you may not get a new luxurious house, but you can still afford a house (if available). The information you provided is true for bigger cities like Toronto or Vancouver, but people are now moving out of these big cities to a smaller town which are cheaper.

Many people illegal workers in canada but the government doesn't do nothing about them. That's why they come here to work under the table. Well…I will say it. I live in sk Canada. Bought my first home in a good area in 2017. Indias Indians bought the three home around me and now have probably 13 people living in each home. The fact that to live in Canada you need to understand how Canadian society works. Most people from none Western Countries are not interested in integration in the Canadian society because they don't change how they lived from their home country. The price of housing is unreal for crappy homes and apartments, the health sector is the pits, and many people don't even have a family, doctor and like you say people die on the corridor of hospital without even having been checked thoroughly at the E.R. Heavy traffic, low wages, unaffordable food prices, corruption at the highest level in the Govt., no real services for people that experience distress in this dystopia and censorship that is beyond this world.
