Why does Canada want those wealthy Chinese as immigrants who don't share the same value at all?

They came to Canada to invest in the housing market. Many owners of houses and condos in Toronto/Richmond Hill and other areas live in China and pay managers to rent their property and take care of the money for them. China requested Canada to hand over Chinese citizens who took illegal sums of Chinese funds out of China but Canada refused due to the harsh Chinese sentences for that crime. Wealthy Chinese are laundering Billions of funds in the Canadian housing market and other investments. Although there are many other reasons for the Canadian housing bubble the fact remains that many young people and families residing in Canada can’t afford the inflated housing prices. Many Chinese come to Canada for their holidays, and one reason I know when they arrive is because my doctor is Chinese and every spring the office is packed with Chinese people who come to get their annual free check up, they all have Canadian citizenship and health cards too.

If this guy would have been a muslim, then he NEVER would have got caught. It's ok for muslims but not for the Chinese. Who by the way actually make our economy go forward.

Chinese nationals are hard workers and brilliant in doing things. When you visit China, transformation of the country appear to be incredible. It has to be said that when they begin to do wrong things they are equally good at it. This immigration racket is a very good example.

I didn't know Canada had a prob with the Chinese. Seems every western country has its probs with immigrants but I've never had any prob with the Chinese here in UK esp not with them scamming people. I watch the border crossing show sometimes and when they come back from “vacationing “ in China and pretend that they haven’t brought anything with them and when their bags are inspected they have tons of stuff and have way exceeded the limits and they barely get a verbal reprimand. Let me see a Canadian whose family has been here for 9 generations get away with this. They are dishonest, money laundering scam artists. Yet, Canada still welcomes them with open arms. When will the Canadian government wake up? Having them take over this country is an insult to hard working Canadians and other honest immigrants. When they commit a crime of any type they should be deported. They’re always bragging about how rich their country is, then why do they want to come here? We haven’t invaded their country! I watched the whole thing and I still don't understand why some Chinese want to be Canadian citizens if they don't want to live here? Like what's the point? Do they want to influence political systems with votes? Do they want a convenient vacation place? Is it for tax reasons? Do they want an escape route in case China goes south politically? Why pay a ton of money for a citizenship if you're not in that country at all?

I am an international student from China and I living in Canada now. I have to say not all the local people who living in here are racists and some of them will say hi to me and showed their kindness, I also meet some racists but that will not effect my opinions to Canada because my family usually to praise Canada when I was a kid and I still can feel the warm the local people bring to me. I love Canada as a Chinese and I tried to be humble and smell to everyone I meet but some of them always looking for my trouble.

Vancouver only excepts Millionaire Chinese and Asians people fact they had so many they had to make new rules for them buying in Vancouver. Funny isn't what the South American ( Canadian) diplomat speaking to people in Cali saying the same thing Trump is and the right. Only he is using a accent and not having to be so forceful because the leaders before him dint bend over backward to help break the laws. I'm a US expat living in China. In china, you cannot get a green card. I leave every 60 days because I can only stay for up to 60 days, just to turn around and come right back that same day. Once i'm back in China, I need to register my address with the police, and update my resident card. To get a 60 day business visa here, I had to get a Chinese company send me an invite, then need it to get approved. The process was expensive. But I follow Chinese law, and respect it with everything that I am. This is China and this is there laws. So who is VICE to make a victim out of this person? Just a crock of shit. This guy can go to many many countries around the world. India, Indonesia, even China but from the looks of it, this guy could not handle China. Why does he absolutely need to settle in Canada or the USA and cry when they don't want him? Go mother fucker, go anyplace in the world you want, just go.

This is nothing... Go visit Surrey or Abbotsford in BC, Canada. Largest population of East Indians outside of India. I do have a few issues... if it's a multicultural country then come on Canada, letting in more of one race over another is unfair and unwanted. I don't want to see Chinese and East Indians making up the entire population of Canada in 50 years. I also want to say FUCK the relaxation of motorcycle helmet laws for Sikhs. My boss asked me “you talk funny where you from?” I said America just like you. Then he was like well what about your parents I knew what he wanted to know but I said they are American too.
