Got to love media and their slanted presentation of everything to while is appears like they are giving you news, they're really telling you how to think on certain issues.\nWhy now? Why are they doing this? Really?\nUh, I don't know. Maybe because America through policies has caused a lot of problems in south America, destabilizing the area, which causes a lot of migration of a lot of refugees. Or how about how America closed the border to even legal refugees, causing them to pile up at the border. How about how they can't survive just sitting there waiting for the border to open, despite how the excuse for Covid as being the reason for why the border was closed is long gone. How about how the refugees are being attacked and victimized constantly while they wait.\nYet, ya, they're the bad people for becoming so desparate to get out of their terrible situation. Also, how about how amazing it is that supposedly balanced news networks never seem to balance out their reports by including such realities of the situation in their slanted propaganda reports.\nAlso, I see lots of mentions of large homeless populations in America as being the excuse of why America can't possibly help.\nYet, no doubt all these commenters likleu blane homeless people for being homeless despite how the employment is at record lows and employers are desperately looking for anyone to work for them. It's almost like they don't see how the effects of employers offering wages too low to support paying rent being mixed with large investment firms buying up all the Housing stock and enacting policies of constantly evicting current tenants to increase rental prices isn't a major component in the problem.\nThe reality is, the housing crises could be easily fixed by raising minimum wage to a living wage and restricting investment firms from using residential housing as investment stocks especially as one of their tactics seems to be to intentionally not rent out large portions of their housing stock to create a shortage in supply, this driving up demand along with rental prices.\nYou can't honestly complain about the homeless crisis while ignoring the fact that corporations are intentionally keeping rentals empty to drive up rental prices. I'm pretty sure that fits within one of the definitions of insanity.

There are many reasons and many who problems. You can’t just narrow this down to 1 of anything. One problem is for decades children were brought up to believe that when they turn 18 or 21 or when they get a full time job or graduate college it’s time to leave the nest . Why? So you can live the life of a bachelor or bachelorett? Party all night or get drunk and do most things you wouldn’t want your parents to know about. Pay outrageous rental fees for some place you’ll never own. Go into debt and in many cases spend years paying off student loans. Yeah, sounds like a good time. The habit should be if parents have room, stay home, save your money and allow your parents to help build that generational wealth. Pay a small rent to help out a little if you want to and your parents accept it. Some people , if they can marry and stay with their family, at least for a few years. This builds a stronger bond with parents and grandparents. The way the last 40 or 50 years has gone has destroyed family and their are many reasons why. Some of the European traditions are smart and we should never have turned away from them

I have an apartment in Manhattan, costs the same as I would pay in Australia. Australia is also very focused on connections and who you know - which school (let alone University) you went to will just about determine your career progression / ability to even get into an industry. VERY WOKE. Aggressively favors women - if you are a guy or have boys, do not move there and expect opportunities for advancement. You are very unlikely to get PR and citizenship after study (those days are gone).

What Americans do not understand is that there are people in other Countries who are starving because their Countries have gone bankrupt, or their government system has collapsed in those Countries. Because there is another election coming up soon, and they have to allow these scenes to be portrayed in order to help shape the minds of the voter here in the US. The American people need to wake up and stop fighting against each other, and work together to help vote for a Presidentsl Candidate who will actually do something to change the narrative at the Border and to help the American people here in the US first. I live here in California, a liberal state as it claimed, but the racial discrimination,terrorism, gang stalking, psychological warfare, harassment, bullying, discriminatory targeting, surveillance assaults ( 24hr ground and aerial tracking both inside my house and everywhere in public), and the high level smear campaigns I have suffered for over 7 years since 2016 till today in the hands of police and their domestic terrorist organizations that operate as security agencies is something unimaginable, alarming and quite destructive to have deal with in one’s life. I hope our people listen to her warning. if only they know what I have suffered with my children having everything ruined in my life for moving into a house in a neighborhood I shouldn’t have moved to as a black person and driving a car they believed I don’t deserve to drive as a black woman, as such they criminalized me, targeting and and terrorizing me ever since everywhere till today even after I have filed complaints several times with videos of the attacks the police and these domestic terrorist groups are carrying out on me to several agencies that deals with racial issues , discrimination, civil rights violations etc including the Governor’s office, FBI, DOJ, etc, and have gone to the police for them to do background checks on me to clear my name thinking they could be mistaking me for someone else and they have confirmed to me several times that I am innocent and clean, but they wouldn’t leave me alone. Instead they have continued in their illegal surveillance and terrorist attacks they are carrying out on me which makes me believe I’m being racially targeted and the ongoing attacks on me are malicious and racially motivated for no other reason than I’m black and African.

High taxes, high energy prices, low wages, too much government, crony capitalism, real estate being treated as a speculative investment, too much immigration and nowhere to house them, regulations that deter entrepreneurship, poor health care, refusal to invest in our resource industry, refusal to invest in core infrastructure, declining civil liberties. Lot of these problems have been festering for a while, but things have really gone off a cliff since Trudeau was first elected. Even if you get some wise and saintly philosopher king to replace his corrupt arse, these problems will take years, probably decades to fix. I'm in my late 30s, and basically if I want to get out of this rut, I think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and figure out a way to move to the States. I'm getting real tired of grinding my butt working and having nothing to show for it.

For all the talked about housing market problems in China we have our own distortions in our Canadian market that are dragging us down to. I sold my home 6 years ago (75% paid off) and left for an overseas work experience. When I came back ,my nest egg, even with a little stock market growth would never allow me to purchase the equivalent of what I had. While I was gone prices had gone up well over 50%. To acquire another home would be like starting all over from graduation. Homes should be for living in!
