Sorry but no. I don’t feel bad for them. They’re trying to force their way in by breaking the rules. They have already shown they would not be good citizens & promote lawlessness! That isn’t what we need. \nWhy don’t they go to Mexico City or some other South American country to wait? Those are good countries & there are jobs there.\nAlso I read a lot of times they’ll bring a kid along, that they aren’t related to, just so they have a shot of getting in. That’s a bit sick

Basically being rewarded for breaking the rules.

Exactly where is this mythical land called Canada ? ? seriously , this nation needs people who are willing to work , too many Canadians are just not willing to break a sweat Truth be told this country is one of the most accepting Yet we can't just let the borders become overwhelmed with migrants seeking a better life, Canada is in crisis with few places available to rent and owning a home here is out of reach for most Canadians along with a growing homeless population a huge drug problem The future is very unclear.

Their very first act is to break the law, they certainly will never respect our laws. It’s time to two walls and a bunch of prisons. Then deputize every militia group in the country to handle this. ??

LOL at the BS sob stories of oppression and strife in their homeland all carefully rehearsed. The truth is they are economic migrants that are jumping the queue in front of other more deserving immigrants and refugees that are following proper channels. Their first act as a new Canadian is to break the law and get arrested - nice...now that's the kind of citizen we can build a country on.

so you don't speak English have no skills or money but yet, you want one of the most expensive too live in country's in the world too pay for everything for you when we can barley pay for are own food and house. give me a break... i do not approve this and we cant afford it in the form of more taxes and inflation..
2023-03-13 0
I don't buy all the tears and lies - if you're willing to break the laws of the land you want to come to what will you be prepared to do to stay!!!

I’m the son of immigrants. However, my parents asked for asylum by going to us embassy in Bangkok Thailand. So born and raised in America. But when I see this it breaks my heart, on one hand I feel for those who want a better life for themselves. On the other, we cannot let this type of chaos unfold before our eyes. Is the solution a militarized wall that mirrors the Korean DMZ or West Bank barrier- maybe, I hope not, i prefer not to build walls but bridges of friendship, trade, problem solving, and unity. Overall I’m just frustrated.

They need to go break in North Korea and see what happens
2023-03-13 0
Open fire. If they're going to break the law to get into the country, they're going to break the law in the country

The main disadvantage of leaving Canada is having to pay for your own health care in other countries. If you don't have insurance in another country, you will have to pay in advance before they treat you. It could bankrupt you, especially if you go to developed countries like the USA. If you study in a foreign country, you pay extra as a foreigner for tuition, sometimes double what a citizen will pay. Remember, it's not always green on the other side. If you just want fun, schedule your life to spend time for a great break that ticks the boxes for you.

Many of the people here in the comment box trying to explain how cringy Canada is even who born and raised in Canada! I am pretty sure those people never have been to a country like Bangladesh, average part of India. Otherwise, they wouldn’t even imagine to write down such a bad words about their country. Here in south Asia, average people literally beg to their boses for their sallery unless its a high-end job. Its weird to hear I know but the reason behind is the combination of inflation and instability of work-life balance. As being raised in Bangladesh though an American I can tight the difference. You wont never feel it sitting there, atleast have a summer break to south asia. Good day

My stepson works in Tuk NWT, and he gets his food and lodging paid for, and gets to fly back to Alberta for a break every few weeks. He really likes it. In the winter they're only allowed to stay outside for a certain amount of time, and then go inside to warm up for awhile.

Noticed your political bias was evident, you could work for CNN... You also did not mention that if you upset your dictator, even if you are peaceful and break no law, he will take away your license that ends your career and every cent in your bank account. And btw, most of Canadians resent the Montreal french that take taxes from the commoners to support Montreal's lifestyle spending.

Ok Im not even a quarter through and this video is DAMN WOKE. White people in the banking sector are racist according to this video. Maybe its based on qualifications and skill? You want to see a failed system based on diversity and inclusion. Look no further than the Liberal Govt. where Trudeau has put many in his cabinet who are not qualified but based on their gender and skin. Why is CANADA in this state? All you have to do is look back at the track record since Trudeau took office. Every liberal town or province has become a shithole, and this has been pretty consistent even when you look south of the boarder. Want to know what works? Natural diversity, not forced diversity. If you introduce multicultural immigration, it allows those who come in to adjust at a normal and consistent pace. This allows immigrants to get the education they need, the job they need, and the position they are qualified and skilled for. Forced diversity only breaks the system, and immigrants gets lost in it and are not able to get the necessary education and skill they need. Therefore, you have the lack of diversity in any corporation or business that are operating today.

The fundamental problem with Canada and this also applies to many other advanced economies is that housing costs have been allowed to skyrocket.High immigration in combination with low interest rates and certain tax breaks and buyer incentives have all combined to cause this. What this means is that the average citizen is now paying too much out of their income in either rent or house repayments and this reduces spending in the rest of the economy and is a relatively wasteful use of capital so wealth creation has also declined.Australia,New Zealand the UK and Netherlands and parts of the US have also fallen into this vortex.

Personnally, I've been listening to a podcast named the Drunken Peasants (and another called Deep Fat Fried). I like the US but definitely don't want to live there:\n-Guns and school shootings\n-Republicans, creationists, and fundamentalist christians\n-Unaffordable health care to the point of spawning Breaking Bad\n-Violent gangs and police brutality\n-White supremacists and stupid people such as Trump and his voters.\n\nYeah sorry but no thanks. Go Canada!

Drake lives in Toronto lol, he visits USA but doesn't live there sorry to break it to you. Canada gives him way to many benefits as an ambassador that he won't ever move to the states

Born and raised in Canada. Left in the 90’s but always planned to come “home”Lived in Taiwan, Ireland, South Korea and now the States. \nAfter losing my mom to cancer in BC, I was shocked with how the healthcare system has deteriorated. After studying the issue, and having lived in other countries I see now how Canada differs from every other OECD country. \nIt’s a rationed, inefficient govt monopoly. \nPublic sector: Only 1 medical insurance provider: Provincial Medicare. Other countries allow NON profit competing insurance providers to “simulate” free markets and provide healthy competition. Allows more choice and keeps administrative bloat at a minimum. \n\nPrivate sector: allow a fully functioning for profit private sector (for those that want a non-govt choice)Again, allows a 2nd employer, more choice and healthy competition. \n\nI cannot wait for the Supreme Court of Canada to hear the Cambie case and break up the Monopoly. Because essentially, the Govt owns their citizens bodies!\n\nFrasier Institute just released a 2022 study: family of 4, making 150k will pay $16,000/year or 12,000 usd for healthcare. Here, in the states our family pays $7,000- for preferred provider, dental, vision and fast access to everything. \nNot an advocate of the States’s system, but Canada could definitely emulate the best systems in the world which all don’t allow such a Govt monopoly.\nThe leftist ideology that is so against free markets doesn’t see how they will truly help and alleviate the problems and how every other social democracy on this planet uses them.

Those who cheat or break the law have always been and are successful but law abiders life has been made difficult by changes in laws

14:40 it's so true - once you're segregated you stay segregated with everything before some war breaks out in the US.

As an American living in the middle east for several years now. I’ve been robbed and held at gun-point 2 times in New York, had a break-in at an airbnb I rented while visiting family in Florida and got my passport stolen. In the 8 years I’ve been living in Oman, I’ve never seen or even heard of a break-in, most people don’t lock their cars in the neighborhood, people leave the cars running while grabbing something from the store. There is a sense of community here where I know most families around my neighborhood and I’ve been surprised where I get greeted by their kids that I’ve never met at the mall or store. I can’t even give u 3 names of my neighbors in my hometown where I lived for 22 years.

Bruh I can’t catch a break from random OHio mentions lol

The other thing America has over us, is the ability to defend ourselves. If someone breaks into my house, murders me, then slips and falls in my driveway while carrying my tv, they can probably sue my estate and win because my driveway was slippery

SO true about the tap water, lol! I've lived in 3 Texas cities, LA, SF, Oklahoma and Ohio, but the ONLY place of those that had even remotely decent water was SF (and IN the city... the surrounding areas still sucked). Then I moved to Edmonton and lived in 5 different buildings and the water was great everywhere. My fellow Edmontonians beg to differ, but they don't' know what they got. But then I moved to the country and my well water is horrific. :( So we fill up jugs of water at my kid's place in the city haha!\n\nLegit, the best thing about moving up here though is the healthcare. One thing people don't think about is not only do you save on your actual doctor visits, but you save month to month as well. YES, you pay for it with your taxes, but I've found that my taxes here are almost exactly break-even with mine in California, and now I don't have to pay out of pocket for my insurance in addition. Not to mention for the same taxes overall things like roads, registries (dmv), and pretty much everything else the government does is more efficient and better. \n\nMain thing I miss from the US day-to-day is 1: food. Outside of Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, you don't get much good variety. 2: good speeds and affordable f'ing internet. Canadian internet is EXPENSIVE as FACK and not overly fast compared to pretty much every other first world nation.

When the population and separation between economic classes hits a certain point things start to fall apart. It’s safe to say healthcare starts to breakdown at 25 million and all though crapy 40 million still works. I think 100 mill is breaking point, all would be function better if focus was on localities of say 50,000.

When the world gets tough and war breaks out?? they’ll be back don’t worry. Canada will go down faster than a steak when a lion reaches it.

Good break down, but your PM and euthanasia make me want to stay as far away as possible. Tbh nothing against the people.

As someone who was born and spent decades growing up in Toronto who moved to the US years ago and spend time regularly in multiple states, I disagree vehemently with what Aba said about safety. Aba did not recognize that not only is the US like 50 different countries, with each state being somewhat unique unto themselves, but the cities are like an amalgamation of 2 or 3 different cities. What I mean by that is about the safety and security aspect, it all depends on where you live and where you hang out. Undoubtedly, US ghettos and the sketchy clubbing districts are generally worse than Canadian housing projects and such. If you live in the regular or especially good parts of the city, it's totally safe. \nBecause most US towns and cities are built around neighborhoods, security and safety is always a big selling point. As long as you avoid the ghetto and late night 'action' areas, it's generally safer than Toronto. Toronto suffers from an outbreak of car break ins, car thefts, home break ins and recently car jackings all over. Many US neighborhoods and areas have no such thing. On a side note, as a POC, I also have experienced far less racism in the US than I used to in Toronto. Without getting into a can of worms, if you live in a Democrat controlled city vs. Republican one, you are going to experience more crime, more homeless, higher unemployment, etc. You guys are referencing LA, which has become far worse, like San Francisco and New York. \nAnd the cost of living comment is ridiculous. Again maybe LA and NYC which are shadows of what they once were. Canada has far higher tax burden, way higher inflation, prices of food, energy, clothes and homes are off the charts. In Texas, Florida, Tennessee and Washington, we have ZERO income tax as well as lower tax than the HST. No way, Aba and Preach are dead wrong on these issues, because they are using LA or NYC as a reference. There's a reason the movies Escape From New York and it's sequel Escape From LA are such prophetic movies.

OK … here me out . Back east sucks ! It’s a freezer box for 5 months a year . Canada is ultra socialist and socially conservative. Passive- aggressive really from a sociological perspective . Huge taxes . Multiculturalism has done huge damage to the society by segregating people in essence. I live in SE Asia for half the year - have been doing this since 35 years old ?. Great value and super happy people . . Great break from the Canadian cold …

I lived in almost every province across Canada. Spent over a decade in Halifax and some of the smaller communities. The crime there is above normal. I have lost thousands of dollars in tools multiple times from break and enters and never once had a good investigational outcome. The last time was in Truro where I lost over 20k worth of tools and household goods. I told the investigating officer who did it. The drug dealing individual was not even questioned because he was an informant for the RCMP. Ontario, Nova Scotia, and many other provinces has a false crime rate. Maybe Manitoba and Saskatchewan has a really bad crime rate because the police actually do their job. You did not mention about provincial taxes, that would definitely throw Quebec under the bus. Even though I was born in Ontario, Alberta has my number.

Hey this is the first video I watched and wanted to say this. Canada DOES NOT have some systemic racism. Please do not be a clueless liberal.\n1. The income difference based on skin color is based on level of education and jobs chosen, NOT some skin color. This is why if you break down the income difference based on the countries of origin, black immigrants from countries with high education levels such as ones from Nigeria have a higher average income compared to the rest of the population, even though their skin is as dark as any black person. \n2. I suggest you visit Richmond BC, Surrey BC, or Vancouver Downtown, so many successful Asian and brown people there. In fact, white people are moving to suburbs since asian immigrants are buying up expensive realestate in big cities like Vancouver and Toronto. Still RaCiSM? \n3. Whites (especially white males) are the only group in Canada that can be openly discriminated against in hiring and school applications, as diversity quotas require a minimal number of women and non-whites to be chosen, over whites (and men)who may meet the criteria. Everyone needs to be treated equally, and solely based on their abilities and qualifications. \n\nAnyone with a half a brain can see that it is better to be a non-white person in Canada right now than other way around. And I am an Asian myself saying this.

Canada is an olygarchy dictatorship, literally a slave camp .the economy is setup in a way to leave canadians with no options but to slave themselves .you cant break out of the system when you have to work two jobs just to afford a one bedroom apartment.the criminal government of canada spends billions on false advertisements online to get more immigrants in and rip them off all their life savings , same for international students who are used as a cash grab for private colleges and universities. It's one of the largest open air slave camps out there and the sad part is that most canadians aren't even aware of it .

BC is all Rain all the time from September 1st to April, cold Forrest gump style rain that can go for three months without break. Very expensive for rent 2000$ a month for a 1 bedroom 8x8 ft room.

If Saskatchewan or Alberta got everything for free like Quebec. Millions paid out to Quebec. Who gets more from the feds than yours truly Quebec. Not easy to make a living there with all the handouts. Give me a break

Every single talking point he said if you break it down is spending more money or potentially giving back a few hundred in tax rebates that’s it. What a joke. And the NDP just nod like the brain dead excuse of a party they have become. Jagmeet is to scared to loose to PP he won’t even go to the polls. Why not stand up for your ideas and campaign hard? Or do you even know you have nothing to offer.

A lot of your facts are misleading like if you buy gun you have background check and more plus you have to keep gun in case Canada does not care if a bear attacks you most likely dead because no guns in Canada unless stored means no point in having gun unless your breaking law

to this day I'm still shocked at the amount of hours in shifts and only 2 vacation weeks!! we need to break down this grind culture

Thank you for covering this. It breaks my heart seeing the struggle of international students, so young alone and vulnerable barely surviving

People are buy ing guns now , what is this going to cause if you Trudeau and the rest of the rats going to do when all heck breaks loose here from you people thinking you can deside , oh we are just going to bring more people in to Canada . Do you not understand what this is going to cause! Holy Crap!

Or you know do better at investing in existing Canadians, why isn't the government incentivizing couples to have more children with cash grants and tax breaks? Complete and utter ineptitude at all levels of government.
2022-11-01 0
just being done for the votes they couldnt care less that it will break the country. just retirees and poeple who cant speak english or french clogging the roads, the health care system and buying up all the housing with foreign dollars and likely bringing in fifth columnist agents looking to attack the west. On the upside this idiocy will likely guarantee Canada implodes in less than 100 years.

Canada, a non stop construction zone because of immigration. Time to take a pause or stop immigration for awhile. Give us a break for christs sake.

Thank you to the Fifth Estate for this story. This is just the tip of the iceberg. So many poor students come to Canada after their parents use their life savings. Just breaks my heart.
