In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become a North Korea style dictatorship in the western world.\n\nThere are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions, welfare, unemployment benefits, disability benefits and the numerous other programs, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.\n\nMulticulturalism destroys the fabric and identity of a country. Uncontrolled immigration has turned some of Canada's cities into cost of living hell holes, 1 in 4 Canadians live in poverty, yet we are still considered a rich country, still a member of the G7, even though we have dropped rank and are now the 10th wealthiest country in the world and have some of the highest taxes on the planet. At this rate, where will we be in a few years?

I'm sorry, but being persecuted somewhere else in the world shouldn't qualify you for Canadian citizenship. To be a Canadian citizen you should be a good fit with the rest of Canada (and existing Canadians should get to decide how that works). Also, it needn't be said, but how do we know this man is even telling the truth? Any guy can say that he craves intimate physical contact with other guys. It's just words.

Canada has very kind government - accepting all people from around the world, our health system is overloaded. Today I took a short trip on a bus , I saw two recent migrants: one old black man in wheelchair and huge young but mentally ill black man - he was screeming and throwing his enourmous fists all time during the trip - passengers were terrified. It is very different picture from what was 20 years ago.

I have worked in Australia, Europe - UK and Germany before moving to the US for my master's degree and worked there for many years. Then moved to India and then to Canada. If you are a tech worker, there is no country in the world more accepting than the United States. Period. \nIn US, people respect your talent than what ethnic background or linguistic background you have. People are more tolerant and accepting, and even let you go up the ladder. Thats why many Indian CEO are leaving US companies while Americans don't mind. \nEuropeans and Australians are the most racist people I have encountered, who have little to no empathy even towards highly skilled workers paying heavy tax in their county. \nIt is better to work for your whole life in the United States on work visa, than living in Australia/Europe/Canada as their citizens.

Has it ever occurred to all the right wingers in the comments that the laws governing Canada's treatment of refugees are pretty standard and comparable to the rest of the civilized world? Yes we have our own culture and own language but we also like Canadian people and their culture. Sad about leaving Canada? You get taxed up the….., it’s frozen for half of the year, the people are also frozen and they try to stab you in the back (especially in Quebec). A childhood classmate of mine visited Canada and these are her impressions: people are fat, disgusting, it’s boring, depressing, cold, gloomy; every second person is in a wheelchair but they don’t have to be, pretending to be disabled because the government pays them for disabilities, etc. After going back home every person that she saw on the street was extremely gorgeous in her eyes after the horror that she saw in Canada…. This is obviously a little exagerated and coming from someone whose expectations were high but you get the point.\n\nWe don’t need to be driving brand new cars all the time, live in brand new homes and spend thousands of dollars for the services that we don’t really need… life is all about simplicity and being able to enjoy every single moment: so many countries in the world offer that: not Canada.

I grew up in Brazil, been living in the UK for a long time, I've been to Toronto in 2017 and LA, New York, I saw homelessness everywhere. In the UK things have been bad for a long time. Accommodation is very expensive and landlords are very dishonest. I would definitely assume the UK has become a Third World Country. \n\nI would love to live in Canada but these days, Canada, US, Australia, UK and even New Zealand are very expensive places to live. I am aware more and more Westerns are moving to Southeast Asian countries > Cheap, Good people, Good food and is not full of drugs as it is in Western countries.

Wealthy societies, like Canada, began with charity supporting refugees in the whole world. This is based on the Ideologie of human rights. Im moving out of germany, one of the main reasons are, besides taxes and language, etc that people complain about:\n\n1. Worst food in the world, if you don’t eat fast food you will starve, I need to cook my own meals every single day because there is absolutely nothing decent to eat. Only things I can eat here are schnizel and sushi. \n\n2. Unless you come from a rich white country (USA, Australia, Canada, Japan…) you are not allowed to drive unless you do the test etc again even though as a tourist you can drive. This is just a plain racist law. Uber also sucks in Germany because they over-regulated it. So you cannot get around if you don’t live INSIDE a big urban center.

Back in the late 1990s I made serious plans to emigrate to Canada. My country seemed to me a black endless hole from politics to daily life. I even learnt French because my plan was to settle in Quebec. Time went by and, sadly, Canada has gone downward. My country has fared a littlet better since myymid twenties. It still sucks but I get along with it. There always is a place to call home if you have seen the world. Lucky you, I haven't seen as much world as I once dreamt of. Good luck on your choice.

Lived in the US for 4 years and bought 5 rental properties in my home country. Now I'm retired at the age of 34. It was the best decision I have ever made. I am now building a business and want to expand to Canada for my actual retirement. What I can watch here is a clickbait video. Toronto is safer today than it was 30-40 years ago. Groceries were never cheap in Canada. The biggest issue here is home prices, however a lot of cities around the world are experiencing the same issue. Take a look at apartment prices in Amsterdam, Munich, London e.t.c and how expensive they got in recent years.

I totally agree with you...I moved to Canada, to join my wife who was born here and moved overseas with me. She came back 5 years ago and I joined her three years ago. For her, this place has changed alot, and not to the better. For me, it was a shock, as services here are much less than services in third world countries. I am not planning to leave yet, because I still have faith that we can work with other Canadians to make this place better. However, I am not having any real hope from the ruling class who are all willing to enrich the pockets of the few oligarchs they seem to serve rather than working for all of us
