Airbnbs are also still a problem even with revised rules. The issue is with our City Halls and their ineptitude. Stoking a fire about this BS is only going to bring more violence on immigrants so I hope you’re willing to be accountable for that.

Normally, countries being invaded by foreigners brings their military to the party. I think it’s time. They’re releasing their criminals in the south and sending them here. As an immigrant, I would say bring down the numbers substantially, bring only the creamy layer that can benefit this country, stop illegal migrants and refugees for political appeasement and vote bank, strenghten law enforcement and punish the offenders severly to set an example

Exact same issue in Australia. High immigration levels despite the ongoing housing crisis and cost of living crisis. Local people are living in cars and tents, but the government wants to bring in millions more foreign immigrants. It doesn't make sense and it's not racist to say so.

Most Canadians are tolerant to immigration. However, we are fed up with the large number of immigrants the Federal government keeps bringing in. We have a massive housing shortage and they still increase immigration despite the shortage. The Federal Liberals believe housing speculators are the problem, so they put in a vacant home tax to prevent it, but how do you enforce this?\nThe real solution is to roll back immigration to 250,000 new Canadians a year until the housing shortage is somewhat taken care of.

I went Ottawa this year after 17 years and found that in Ottawa nobody respect traffic rules, also many people living in the streets and drug addicts in the street. They bring too many refugees and immigrants without having enough infrastructure.

Thanks to immigrants Canada has survived this long. Immigrants bring in much needed dollars and skills that locals don’t have. Further, immigrants are the hard working people unlike the ‘locals’ who rather than work two jobs to make ends meet, sit back and complain how bad things are. \nIf you haven’t guessed, I’m an immigrant too and have been in Canada for the past 24 years. I have contributed to the coffers and have not taken any money out from it for the past 24 years!

I am an immigrant myself and could not agree more with it. The government is bringing in people blindly at the cost of jacking up prices to unbelievable levels for shelter, food and so on. Jobs are taken away from locals and has been handed over to new immigrants, our students are struggling to find jobs. Crime is on the rise . It almost seems like the they gave up the immigration vetting system and are bringing in people without due delegence. This is NOT the Canada I came to more than a decade ago. It has changed and continues to change for worse unfortunately. My vote is never going to a liberal ever again. They failed this country big time

I am for immigration as long as it well managed. I am also in favor of math, don't bring in immigrants if we do not have housing for the people already here. Liberal immigration policies and municipalities not allowing higher density housing has created this problem.

I was pro-immigration too when Canada was bringing in 300,000 per year. Then they added over a million, like of course that's not going to work.

If you have a Canadian passport you’re Canadian that’s it.\n\nThe issue lies in continuing to bring in large amount of people with no skills the country needs. As a Canadian, we want to leave! This isn’t the same country our parents and grandparents grew up in. Family immigrated there in 85. Back then my parents needed to prove and bring certain assets as part of the requirements. \n\nNow it seems they don’t really care, just come in with nothing, and the first thing to figure out is how to get the gov to pay out to sustain.\n\nHow this change came about… got no idea. \n\nAnd when looking at it culturally, that has changed as well. Being Chinese, we brought along our traditions. Those were celebrated and introduced to other Canadians, and it was a joyous thing. That being said, Canadian culture should come first and foremost. There isn’t much to understand. It’s not a rocket science. Immigration used to be a driver of the work force. Notes it’s a burden on shelters, and budgets. \nThe entitlement is a curse. \nIf you bring a million people into the country who demand housing, food, money, schooling and aren’t willing to work and pay for anything, it’s a path to nowhere. \nAny more questions?

I think Canadians are not willing for work. That's why the government brings people from different countries for work.

It's basic math 500k people vs 200k new homes you can't bring people in when there are no more homes and jobs it's a government created problem.

I dont know anyone who thinks immigration is bad.However when the numbers are so high that it is unsustainable and citizens feel like they are being overwhelmed and thier lives are of less quality people will rebel .The citizens end up paying with taxes so they have every right to challenge these destructive ideologies that ultimately bring pain and misery to it's own citizens.

When our public systems can’t provide for the people who are already here, how can we bring in more?
