The problem is that most people who like immigrants dont understand the concept of assimilation. I have no problem with immigrants who assimilate, but when we have so many illegals who enjoy the benefits of the American constitution, without learning English, who dont learn American History or economics, dont pay taxes and then send whatever money they make out of country. Of Course we should kick these people out. they should never be here in the first place. People not willing to assimilate should never be let into any country.

The thing I don't understand is that when people come to our country to live and enjoy our way of living, why can't they just follow our beliefs and not try to change them... I will never change my culture to make any immigrant feel more like home, if they don't like it then they can go back to where ever they came from... I personally don't mind immigrants, but they have to start excepting our culture and not try to change...

I'm sorry not to hound on Muslims wearing the macabre or how you spell it. When you wear something that covers your face and you look like a damn ninja. Can you really blame folks for feeling the way they do? Despite it being part of your culture or religion but you guys need to understand where those people are coming from when you dress up like a ninja.

I can see westerners being freaked out by the women who cover their face. I myself was like wtf when I seen a women with covered face for the first time back in northern Virginia, and I am from Ethiopia - a country that has a big Muslim population, more than 30%. We live among Muslims peacefully, because we respect our differences, but the ones back home do not really cover their face so I was not used to it. Really we should do better than creating differences, there is no better race or religion, all humans are the same, we all practice the 7 deadly sins religiously. and all the people commenting saying they hate Muslim and what it stand for, what religion are you because the Bible teaches compassion, it does not say to hate what you don't understand.

I understand the Islam Religion I read the Quran , Mohammad was a Nut case nothing more .I see Muslims asking for more than the people of Canada gets they want the government to fund Islamic centers and schools while the government does not do this for any other religion . The Alberta government built am Islamic center in Edmonton but will not give any other religion a friend ship center . I rather if no more of them comes here .

How would it be if there was a rash of ultra violence from some Christian groups around the world? Would priests and nuns walk around flaunting their garb to people? Or what if sects of Amish formed hit groups and started forcing their ways through violence? Would all Amish be able to wear their garb so easily? No way!\nMuslims need to understand that the radicals in their religions have caused fears throughout the Western world and the time has come where they must give up some things. The burqa and full coverage stuff is scaring the shit out of people. If they don't volunteer to be understanding of this, the laws are gonna change and then they will have to conform. The price of freedom I'm afraid. Quit being so fundamental and strict about stuff. Let time heal the wounds first, or suffer the way everyone else did for hundreds of years.

how about banning niqabs? niqabs are really unnecessary. We need to see a whole face to identify a person. And wearing a niqab is actually impolite towards deaf and hard of hearing people because they often need to read your lips to understand what you're saying. And I can't believe that any woman would love to wear it because you would constantly smell and breath in your own breath coming from your mouth. So, you actually breath in CO2 all the time, and that can't be very healthy.

Muslims need to understand that we don't like them it's simple really yes the liberal media and some left wing people think otherwise but the vast vast majority would rather they all just leave it's not racists it's just we want to enjoy life they seem to want to make everything about religion just go away

I'd just read many of the comments on here and wtf are you people smokin'? Whatever it is, you got some bad stash. Time to face reality. We are all human. We all have religions or spirituality. We may be different, but we are still intrinsically cut from the same block. So cut the paranoid crapola. Live together in peace as God instructed ALL of you to do. Don't buy into Government propagated paranoia over any one set of people. Here in America, it was anti native American, then anti black, then Anti Irish, now that those two groups are accepted it's anti-muslim. Meanwhile the native Americans are still Native Americans, the black people are still black and the Irish are still Irish and nothing has changed but public attitude. I feel so strange for understanding both sides of this argument as equally valid points in a vacuum...\n\nBut in my opinion, if you live in a western country, then you should adapt and dress like the people who live there, if not you will always be an outcast and not integrate into society.\nIf a guy in shorts and a wifebeater wants to sell you a new fancy dancy investment idea you are most likely not going to trust him, since he does not wear a suit as expected for people in this position.

I can understand how these countries allow women to cover their face like that? \n\nYou don't have a right to do whatever you want, it is limited with rights of other people, in this case my right to be able to identify a person who was participating in/witnessing a crime or an accident or whatever. If you are on public grounds you have no right to conceal your identity and covering face does exactly that. \n\nI personally think their religion is oppressing women and that this is not really a choice for them as they fear hell, or their family abandoning them or worse, but regardless of that, their religious freedom stops where my, and rights of other people begin.

As a Muslim living in Canada, I don't see the harm in a woman wanting to cover herself, I wear the head scarf myself, but in my opinions I don't feel the need to cover myself to prove I am more modest or a better Muslim.  I believe everyone has free will and has the right in this Country to dress the way that the law has allowed them to.  No one has the right to tell someone how to dress, not even the Prime Minister himself.  Telling a woman what she can and cannot wear is oppression.  I truly believe that if Muslims want to live in Western civilization, then they should refrain from covering their faces because the face is our identity and People have the right to know who you are and what your face looks like.  You cannot vote with a covered face, you cannot cover your face in a passport photo, you cannot cover your face for your driver's licence etc... I am a Muslim woman and I say this.  It truly is a shame how the media is portraying Islam and the Muslim people as a whole, and it truly is a shame that Canadians have become so ignorant.  I see more ignorance and racism in Canada than I do in America and 9/11 took place in America.  If you want to know about Islam, learn about Islam from a Muslim, a Library, google Islam, or offer to spend a few days with a Muslim family for research to get a better understanding of Islam and Muslims.  As a Muslim myself I can understand the hatred and the ignorance because we act according to how we were taught and raised, and yes we have many extremists claiming to follow the Islamic faith.  These extremists are not only hurting Western civilization, but they are also hurting the peaceful moderate Muslims that value their rights and freedoms as Canadians.  I do not appreciate ISIS hijacking my religion, I do not appreciate Hamas or Hezballah hijacking my Religion because I am a very accepting person and a very open minded Muslim and to be defined by media as a problem or a terrorist is very hurtful and a shame.

I think hijabs are fine because you still know who you are talking to, but the niqab is so odd to me and I will never understand why people would want to wear that.

I am not a Muslim but: in some parts I understand them! Yes, just look at a town, drunken people doing stupid stuff. Police cant catch everyone. No one cares about each other. A little to extrem but not a bad direction at all.

Yes sharia law does start from your own home, but that is only if your home is back in whichever backwards country you come from if not then the laws of the country you live in are the ones you live by. the problem is that the muslims who are acting like villians in europe are mostly uneducated and they dont understand the religion either. the unemploymenet, unablity to integrate into the society and maybe descrimination they suffer, they find religion as a tool to express their existance and sometimes their anger. it is not the religion, but the people who are creating problems.
