I'm a former H1-B living in Canada and I look forward to going back to the U.S. I love Canada, but the low wages are low and the cost of living too high.

Former H1-B here now living in Canada as a citizen. After Obama failed to fix the U.S. immigration system, I lost hope it would ever get fixed.

Very entertaining segment. I am particularly amused /impressed with your willingness to acknowledge U.S. issues with such candor - I think we Canucks might get defensive.

The U.S.'s immigration system (and quotas) are as disgusting and disheartening and as they are counterproductive and un-American

A video by someone who isn't Canadian and it's extremely obvious. Were currently OVERWHELMED by immigrants from India cause there's no limit on how many people can apply from that country. So now we have a glut of Indians who create their own semi-enclaves and do not integrate with the community. \n\nAs well, the U.S. pays better, has more opportunity, the mixture of immigrants is better (less concentrated to one country) and lets not even begin with Canada's completely screwed housing market.

AND you can buy a house in the U.S.
2023-07-29 0
The only people who suffer are Americans. Instead of the U.S taking care of there own we’re taking care of illegals and Ukrainians what about us??????

Tyler, stop glossing over the U.S.'s horrid gun culture and especially the school and mass shootings.\n\nThe bizarre obsession with guns is the U.S.'s Achilles heel. The gun issue is a totally relevant and significant deterrent to moving to and even just visiting the U.S.\n\nI'm so glad I live in Canada! It's not perfect but it's a strong, beautiful country. The U.S. has a long way to go before it can compete with my home. ?? ❤

Watching this while my passport is being stamped with my permanent residency visa at the Canadian embassy. 100% agree, Canada is definitely poised to win the war for talent while the U.S rests on its laurels. It's only a matter of time before those millions of highly skilled workers joining Canada's workforce makes it more globally competitive than the U.S...

Why should America treat immigrants better than U.S. citizens?
2023-07-29 3
It’s really incredible that a country whose population is aging and shrinking (the U.S.) isn’t begging immigrants to move there.

Yap same U.S plan Afghanistan immigrants use to be translator wait Philippines process before going to U.S

Canada's immigrants arrived legally. Without sizeable immigration Canada can't fund it's social healthcare system. Right now the U.S. has no way of knowing how many people simply crossed our very open Southern border.
2023-07-28 0
I resent that characterization that the per-country cap is “discriminatory.” Yes, this system is broken, and it is stupid that we educate a foreigner and then lose their talent or force them to stay without a legal status. But the purpose of the system is to promote diversity. Norway and India have the same number of green cards available to their respective nationals because the U.S. wants all countries equally represented.

We, the U.S., will take in uneducated illegal aliens from the south. but make hell for the bright ones to enter and/or stay.
2023-07-28 1
It took 15.5 months for immigration to look at and approve my fiance's petition to enter the U.S. \n\nIt's going to be several more months before she is given a visa. \n\nCrazy and emotional

How many Canadians live in the U.S? One or two facts would be cool.
2023-07-28 0
You are exceptionally fair Tyler. I commend your non toxic efforts In fact you might even be too humble, so feel free to throw in some pro U.S counterpoints. I'm British, and I would choose Canada over the U.S.A. But? There are good reasons many Brits I know, would pack to go to the U.S.A today if they could.(The flight cost is immense though.)\nWhy would they want to? Kinda the american dream. Bright lights, believed untapped opportunities, and most of all to gain some of that American infectious enthusiasm & non jaded openness. I consider Canadians as generally having the best traits of U.K & U.S people. Wanting to live there, shouldn't be a loaded invite to dump generally on the U.S.\nI'm a hypocrite here, as I love tease mocking Americans. And yes some serious issues like health care & gun control need highlighted & re-highlighted, to not allow numbness to what shames a nation. But? Vastly more often than not actually detailed not generic solutions, are almost never offered. Just pointing fingers instead,\nIts Americans like you Tyler, that help remind us that the rooting tooting stereotypes, are dumb..\nFor what its worth? I do have ideas on ways on how to have the U.S.A to help herself.\nThat's my rant done with. Lol. ?Brits in Spain on holiday? Generally not a good advertisement, for moving to the UK. (With the exception of recent weather heroes. Like the Brit who drove for 8 hours, transferring people.)

the U.S. i circling the drain .\nthese people will be bringing the blessings of socialism with them !\nand low I.Q .
2023-07-27 0
I think moving to the U.S if you have a better offer for employment, depending on your education \nAbout the gun thing’ we have access to long guns, but not automatic and have to keep them locked up and not displayed and only used during hunting seasons .\nGreat videos, keep it up??
2023-07-27 0
Really no difference between both countries We kill in different ways. America with guns and drugs. Canada with drugs and MAID. For those that don't know the what MAID is. Medical Assist In Dying. Government sponsored. Not too distant future, Canada will overtake the U.S. in yearly non accidental deaths . \n Funny, Canada has been portrayed as a friendly Peace Keeper. Now we will be known as People who die quietly, without a fight. Ten Thousand last year alone. At least we lead the world in something

I would never live in the U.S., there has been more mass shootings than days in 2023 so far??
2023-07-26 0
Ok. Wtf. I Do Love in America...North America. 23 countries. Have despised the u.s and their narcissistic religious bs for 40 years! Guns? Idiots. Absolutely a freakin Joke of a so called country yet you think you are so Great. Never were. Never will be. I wouldn't even go there again Ever...stupid killing mentality...guns. what a joke

U.s. is not even close to Canada in that respect. We are as different from the United States as England is to France I used to like to visit in the United States I'm not going back
2023-07-25 0
I'm a 37 year old Canadian and I've never even seen a gun up close, never worried about my safety in school, never worried about gun violence, never had to worry about hospital bills, etc. The list goes on. Also I wish the U.S could chill the fuck out because you're dragging us down with you
2023-07-25 0
The Government of Canada recently issued a 'travel advisory' for the United States travel because of random acts of violence with no pretense that you can protect yourself. I've heard of 'travel advisories' for certain States, but this is the first time I've heard it for the entire U.S. anywhere. In answer to the question: No. Too many guns, too many gun owners, too much religion pumping out hate and bigotry and too much arrogance.
2023-07-25 0
No thanks. I can stand in line at Starbucks and feel fairly confident that none of the other patrons are carrying guns. I used to enjoy visiting the U.S. on vacation but not for years now.
2023-07-25 0
that's exactly what the biden administration wants more immigrants in the u.s. to become Democrats
2023-07-25 0
Im Hispanic and this breaks my heart … but there is legal ways to go about this and not raid the border like some animals … the U.S barely helps us out … I pray that every one in this video are ok

I would never live in the U.S.
2023-07-24 0
It's great having health insurance through your job as long as you have a job. I would never consider moving to the U.S. due to political, social, and safety reasons. I think under the current political environment in the U.S. we are watching the collapse of democracy in the United States. It is not at all an appealing place for me to visit or live.
2023-07-23 0
I would consider immigrating to the U.S. for love. And I did consider it, but the romance did not work out. Otherwise I would be more likely to consider moving to Scandinavia. : ) I could have immigrated to England, but decided on Canada as my Top Choice of the two, mainly for the prices, and my family. UK Real Estate is very difficult to obtain.

No never nada …Canada is beautiful. The gun culture in the U.S. is insane along with the refusal to create a health care system that protects everyone, rich or poor. Our education system in Canada is superior to that of your country. Our political system is superior to that of your country and although there are some loopholes that need attention, we on the whole can not be bought. I live in a province that wants to emulate your culture and I find it repulsive. There are amazing people in your country but the minority of misfits give you a huge black eye. My Grandpa was born in New England and one day, when sanity becomes the norm, I want to visit his birth place.

I moved to Canada from the United States. I graduated from an American university and worked for a U.S. corporation for several years. However, when I moved to Canada and applied for a job, I was asked for Canadian experience. Confusing...

1. While McDonald's was originally created in the US there is a 2nd version and its 100% Canadian. After the u.s. McDonald's began franchising one of the brothers became so disgusted with the lack of regulation in the US on what is considered 'food' he moved to Canada and relaunched the chain. While the restaurant named remains the same and a handful of the main burgers the two companies are completely separate and have nothing to do with one another.\n\n2. Gov work, nurses, doctors, teachers, etc have a regulated minimum wage of 7.25 are you ....... kidding me??? 3. The US has no paid maternity leave u have the baby take 2 weeks off unpaid and back work 4. Server's make 2.13 + tips an hour ...... 5. The federal and state government recommend homes in the city have sewage plumbing BUT it is not required. There are literally houses in the southern states with the toilets flushing right into the front or backyard. 6. Perfectly fine to pay a man more than a woman in the US because a woman isnt a man. 7. And if a woman literally becomes a man by changing 'her' name + physically in appearance via surgery/hormones/whatever she still won't get paid the same as a man because she still not viewed as a man: no gender rights. 8. Where's the healthcare when the US has the highest taxes in the world??? 9. Classist. 10. No regulated education. Literally there is no rules on teaching the students these days are learning absolutely nothing. There's no such thing as regulating education in the US anymore 11. The country is over 33 trillion dollars in debt..... It's never going to fix that.\n\nI could go on and on for another hundred reasons before I'd have to Google something else to add to the list but these are only a few of the reasons why any Canadian who knows anything about the US, would never willfully move south of the boarder. American people themselves, aside from a personality trait here or there are fine. Its the demon structure of the country that make America deplorable. Sorry.
2023-07-22 0
This is unacceptable! No vetting, unsecured boarders is the fault of the sitting U.S. president.
2023-07-22 0
1. Healthcare is non-existent. 2. In general, americans are rude and ignorant to others. 2. GUNS - too dangerous with U.S. gun laws. 3. TIPPING: Americans either don't tip or are extremely cheap and ignoant to servers (I am not a server. This has been my observation over several years.) 4. ROADS - U.S. roads are all giant pot-holes. 5. DANGEROUS and Poverty - there are too many areas of poverty and danger. TRUMP and BIDEN! 6. SCHOOLS - Too scary. 7. TRUMP and BIDEN - Nopety, Nope, Nope, Nope! **There are some PROS, but the negatives outweigh these** I can list another 1,000 or so negatives.

Mexico lets people from South America enter their country as long as they are not staying there, but heading for the U.S.

Hi Tyler from Toronto Canada. I can kinda understand where some of the answers are coming from. Know that we( up north) are watching our brothers down south with the politics. In 2016 when T$__+&$#p had got into power, there was an exodus from the U.S. I know of a few Canadians who go south for the winter ( 6 months). Not too sure about moving to the U.S.A. but I love to visit. \n As I said, most recently it is more of a political thing. ❤❤
2023-07-21 0
Spend the winter there in a snowbird white area. Can’t wait to get home in April. Guns medical cost an political fighting had changed the U.S.
2023-07-21 0
Where in the U.S. has there been no gun violence? It is everywhere.

U.S. Ranks Last Among Seven Countries on Health System Performance Measures \n \nDespite having the most expensive health care system, the United States ranks last overall compared with six other industrialized countries—Australia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom—on measures of quality, efficiency, access to care, equity, and the ability to lead long, healthy, and productive lives, according to a new Commonwealth Fund report.

It seems, more and more that people are gradually leaving Canada. The continued rising cost of living, high taxes and long dark winters making this country less appealing and the u.s more appealing..

I’ve been to the U.S a couple of times, not in the last 15 years though. The times that I went I really enjoyed it and found people to be very friendly. Americans that I have gotten to know who live here in Canada or have been visiting, I have also found to be quite friendly.\n\nAs I type this you are talking about the importance of making sure you move to an area in the U.S where there are like minded people, like mined political views etc. that’s such a strange concept as a Canadian, because we don’t really have to think about that in terms of where we would live in Canada. \n\nMaybe you should come and visit us here in Canada? There could be certain limitations that you have become used to living in the U.S that you might start to see more clearly when those limitations are not there.

I am Australian. I think you will find this to the common response globally. I would not move to the U.S. if they paid me to for all the reasons already mentioned. I feel sorry for people who live in the U.S. I couldn't imagine having to worry if my children will come home from school or not today. I am a 58 yr old male and I am totally against the government telling a woman what she can and can't do with her body. I could not live in a place where some fellow citizens were bankrupt because they got cancer. All U.S citizens are welcome to move to Australia, just slow down and turn the volume down a bit.
2023-07-20 0
Nope. No. Never. Over my dead body. And yeah....... I have zero desire to even visit the U.S. anymore.
2023-07-19 6
I used to visit the U.S. every year or two - stuck to the major cities where I felt I wasn't surrounded by Christian fascists.... haven't been there since Covid. Did make a trip to NYC once, under the orange cheeto's rule and the oppression, sadness and depression you felt crossing the border was palpable
2023-07-19 0
In 2022, 34 students and adults in the U.S. died while more than 43,000 children were exposed to gunfire at school.
2023-07-19 0
Why don't these people fix their country . They want every thing the u.s. has to offer but its laws.
2023-07-19 0
I won't even VISIT the U.S. Afraid we would get shot.
