I came as an international student worked really hard, got job and doing well! Canada has been really good to me and gave me all the good opportunities, met fantastic people and it is not the same 12 years back. But hey we can still make it a better place and fantastic country! Wish you the best!!

They are actually cunningly acting like they do not know what they have done. First they invited immigrants more than they can handle. Now they have taken good amount of fees from the international students and now they are telling them only that they are a burden to their economy. Such a cunning and 2 faced government. Their other provinces are so under developed that they do not even have proper public transportation there. So who will settle there with no jobs and other such necessary services. They are just playing hide and seek with the immigrants especially the international students.

No new hospitals, schools, or infrastructure built in a long time, but this government has brought thousands and thousands of refugees from Ukraine, Afghanistan, and other countries. There is no reason for fast food places to hire TFW. Plenty of students in need of jobs and this is reflected in the unemployment rate. Liberals are not only useless but they are also so eager to ruin this country.

My son is born here, but when he wants to work, there are no jobs, and all jobs are taken by the Intl students. Not only my son, all his friends struggling to find a job.

At the end of the day the main issue is the Government used Indian students to supplement the economy at the expense of the Canadian citizens. Now in 2024 the Trudeau liberals still refuse to pause it because of the economic impact it will have on their corporate friends and the schools. They also subsidize immigrant students which incentivises businesses to only hire Indian students. Canadians can't find affordable housing or a minimum wage job and Indians are paying the price. I feel bad saying it because I'm not a racist but I don't want anymore Indians, or any immigrants at all, here unless they fill a vital need in the economy. We simply no longer have the housing or jobs and it's as simple as that. Enough is enough.

Labor is a commodity. The more labor you have, the lower the wages are. No foreign workers, no foreign students.

What about all the indian students?

In-hand earnings for skilled expats viz. students, temporary workers and working holiday visa holders is lower in Canada compared to the US …the only attraction factor/appealing end-result for expats including potential PR applicants is the probability of a PR visa and the cost/effort needed to obtain PR. Unless there is potential for a PR visa, no international students will bother to enrol at Canadian universities. Simple!

The language barrier is the real problem. You can't be employed as an engineer because you don't speak German. As a result, many engineers end up doing minijobs to survive in Germany. Funny enough, all Germans speak fluent English. Many students studying in English in Germany are planning to leave after their studies. They claim to look for skilled workers, but the reality is that Germans haven't opened up to the world yet.

The truth is that Canada's international reputation has taken a hit. As a brand, it's lost all goodwill. Whether Canadian hate and insult Indians is immaterial because the opposite is perhaps more true. International students must not be automatically granted Canadian citizenship. They must leave, complete a waiting period and then apply through proper channels. This invasion of illegals is destroying our country.

This might be irrelevant but I want to share an incident which I find very tragic. I worked in German schools as a part of a project which allowed me to observe primary school life. There was this one special day on which students(age8-9) were allowed to come to school wearing costumes of their favourite characters. There was superman, batman ?‍♀️ costumes worn by some students with migration background and at the end of the day they all got arrested by german students who were all dressed up as german polizei. ?‍♂️\nThere was unimagineable amount of discrimination going on in an ordinary classroom everyday. At least nothing an 8 year old child can handle. \nI dont have kids but i know I would never gamble with my childrens future and psychology.. even if you give me millions...

Please Don’t blame Indian people, blame Canada’s government. Indian people come with Education and money. Yes we have our own culture and own language but we also like Canadian people and their culture. Canadian government wants more money and that’s why they are inviting more n more students from world and mostly come from India and there is nothing wrong with that. All Indians come here in Canada as a true immigrant. Why you are not talking about so many refugees, who come to Canada with no education no money and they are burden on government. Compare to refugees, Indians work hard, get education here, pay fees in colleges, earn work permit and then pass English exam and then get PR and then citizenship. Indians work hard and earn PR and citizenship here in Canada but what about refugees and asylum seekers. They fucking don’t do anything and they fucking easily get PR citizenship. Why you’re not talking about this ???? Immigrants come to Canada from all over world not just India. Lots immigrants from African countries,Bangladesh, Pakistan, Philippines and so on. Most of Chinese students would apply to top tier university and majors only, if they didn't got in they switch to other countries like AU or UK, US or just go back to china. However a lot of indians doesn't care about the college rating or even major, they just came here to work anyway.

Locals should not feel threatened if skilled migration happen. If there are enough housing locals are happy too. But the problem is migration is done as scams. Foreign students are given false promises . They suffer while the locals Canadians suffer without enough resources. Then they don’t feel foreigners bring currency to the country with their skills.

i think the problem is the schools in canada are allowing too many international students. most of those students can't even pay for their tuitions that some have to go back to their home country. Your country needs stop inviting international students and have limits on how many can only apply.

I’m a student that’s just started their studies in Berlin, a multicultural city (by Germany’s standards), and I already don’t see myself staying here long term enough to want to work let alone settle down here. This is despite the fact that I’ve already invested a lot of time learning the language to C1 level. I can already tell it’s going to be a depressing next few years until my degree ends.

I am a Indian, and I lived 6.5 years in Ukraine,uzhhorod. When I was student. What a wonderful country Ukraine is. When I look back in my journey and think about memories of Ukraine it still gives me a feeling of my another home.Thankyou Ukraine for everything ❤️
