Remember that Israel didn't ask for the1967 war, the 1973 war, the ruthless joyful killing of innocents on Oct 7 2023. Before the earlier wars the West Bank was part of Jordan and Gaza belonged to Egypt. Israel didn't ask for bus bombings or bombings at pizza parlors or wedding halls. They didn't give the Palestinians all of Gaza just to have rockets lobbed from Gaza at Israeli civilians for 18 years. You want peace for the Gazans and all Palestinians... demand peace for the Israelis as well; actually first. The peace will follow.

Gazans have been asking to be taken in as refugees until the war ends. No one in the Arab world wants to help. They should be able to leave war if they wanted, just like Russians and Ukrainians, however the difference there is that the West supported them and offered them refugee status. The Arab world is declining to do this, perhaps out of fear that they will never leave. Which mother would not willingly leave Gaza to protect her children during wartime? It's not that they don't want to leave their land, it's that no one will take them.

I used to teach and coordinate programs for international nurse, this is spot on - and I have always wondered about Canadian students getting into programs - we need Canadian students who are talented and want to study but cannot afford it. There is so much i could unpack. In general, most of the students are lovely and hard-working, but the intent in most cases is to get a PR status - so most of them stay. Many also are disappointed with Canada - as they may come from a place where they were in a different social class. I know many of my students now are productive members of Canadian society working in their chosen fields. I am proud of them - as the move was not easy and they left their families behind. Considering that most of the world is a collectivist culture versus our individualist culture of the West, there is much to adjust to. Good piece.

Canada is Canada. Instead of forcing the majority to live your lifestyle, the right thing to do is you move to a place where you feel comfortable, safe and inclusive. All Muslims who live in the West should follow your example and move to the Middle East or other Muslim countries. A win-win for all.

My advice is before moving to another country go see and learn the culture before you decide to stay Of course in the west you have to work inorder to support you and your family nothing is FREE!

I worked for an international airline for many years and visited Canada and most cities in Canada including Toronto many times, unfortunately it has gone the way of all extreme progressive liberal cities throughout the west. The decline is truly shocking

The governments of these countries heavily criticise The West but at the end of the day, their refugees from their countries come flocking to us for a better life.. Fleeing is easy! Then on Oct 7, the independent region of Gaza, not occupied by anyone at all, once again attacked their neighbor in a most horrific fashion. Jordan owned the West Bank between 1948 and 1967. Did they establish a Palestinian state in the West Bank. Nope. In fact they attacked the Palestinians. Killed 25,000 of them. Egypt owned Gaza from 1948 until 1967. Did Egypt establish a Palestinian state in Gaza? Nope. And When Gaza became independent in 2005 and used international aid money to buy weapons and start attacking Israel in 2007 what did Egypt do? They closed the border between Egypt and Gaza.

I think it's awesome that Muslims who want to keep their way of life leave to other Muslim countries instead of living in the west. All Muslims should do this.

I lived in Western Europe, Japan and at the moment, Canada. I lucked out getting a well paying job in Vancouver when I moved back a few years ago and my average tax rate is actually the exact percentage you stated in the video - 28%, which includes income tax, pension and employment insurance. I'm actually doing better in terms of quality of life now but I do miss being able to travel around Europe for cheap. (e.g., quick train ride to Paris for the weekend) Now, I take cheap flights (e.g. Flair Airlines) to Mexico instead.\n\nJust to state some data points: when I was in Europe, I paid a total average of 39% income tax on a lower salary than I have right now in Canada. Things like utilities (e.g., gas/electricity), restaurants, certain grocery items and electronics (e.g., iphone/PS5/computers) were significantly more expensive because European VAT (inclusive) is usually 20%+. \n\nI don't have the exact numbers but on average I believe I was paying 70 - 90€ ($100 - 130 CAD) just for electricity each month for a small flat, but I am now paying $30 - 50 CAD for a decent sized 1 bedroom. I believe my housing gas bill was about the same or possibly a bit more. In addition, automobile gas prices were much higher (about $2€/L on average which is $2.90 CAD/L) and I think they could go even higher right now. \n\nHowever, rent is definitely more expensive in Vancouver, but I believe that is true for many West coast cities in North America. Right now I'm paying $2300 CAD a month for a 1BR, and I split that amount with my partner.
