Vince go to any Brampton construction job site where Indians are working on and you’ll see “students” international students working there. Then these so called students that work at retail and other places make it seem like they’re doing you a favour by doing their job. If they’re working in the service industry they’re extremely rude as if they’re doing us a favour by being here. We don’t want them here, get them out!

Omg, in Canada we received only the rudest and most uncultured ones; so loud on public transit, unable to deliver half-decently on customer service (and other low-wage) jobs that they dominate...the ones who are rude and want to make as much money as fast as possible without practically earning the $$. I read an article saying the ones in Canada are predominantly heading to the US, we can't wait for them to head South so we can get back our lives!

I feel like America to superior to Canada, anything great about Canada is near the US. There’s no warm areas year round, and anything north of the major cities is just straight up frozen desolate wasteland. Why would anyone want to live there.

Because you asked, most Indians in my local area won't speak to me. I say hi they put smirk on there face and walk by. I also believe that part of the hate comes from the fact Canadians are willing to integrate your religions into our country politics and police force. But what do you contribute back in the way of culture. Where are the ayurvedic stores, tan dav dance centers. The Koreans or our country gave us tae kwon do . The Chinese gave us karate. I myself have been wanting to learn Hindi but can't find anyone to teach me because they just don't talk to me.

I recently worked in a fast food restaurant owned by a foreign national, to begin with there was about a half and half mix between the foreign students and Canadians, it was well run, nice place to work and we pretty much got along, suddenly the owner started advertising for help only in his own language newspaper, as the usual turnover took place all the new hires were of his nationality, students who were limited to 20 hours per week wound up working more hours than the full time workers which in my books left me wondering how much studying they were getting in, Covid hit, I asked the boss if he was going to sign up for getting us paid instead of laying us off, he said he wasn't eligible for that program and laid us off, after he laid us off he applied for and got on the program, suddenly names the Canadian supervisor had never seen working for us appeared on the payroll and mysteriously when we got back to normal and got called back they never did appear in our restaurant. I'm not a racist, have always loved working with other nationalities, but rules are there for a reason and need to be enforced, a lot of folks are taking advantage of our lax enforcement. If you want to work in Canada you should apply for the permit before you come, if you come as a student you need to be a student, if you come as a refugee you should declare that status before you get on a plane. When we have people living on the streets and in cars because housing is not affordable we need to question how many folks we are bringing in.

I;m Indian and I love Canada though I have never been there - let me tell you what you did wrong. Canada let in 100,000 fake students mainly from Punjab, Haryana & Delhi. They are not students, they just want an easy way into Canada, get PR and then citizenship. They can't speak much English and they don't care. They want to spread as much as they can. There are fraud agencies in these areas of India that help them get fake documents and fake IELTS scores that get them to Ontario and join some two bit college in the province. And I have to say that there seems to be a huge bias in India as well as it seems in your government in letting Punjabis migrate freely, while the rest of us have to prove ourselves.\nI'm happy that Canada is toughening up but get rid of the fake ones that have already seeped in. Please!

There are 2.7 million people in Canada without permanent residency. A very large % are East Indian. East Indians want us to adapt to THEM. They don't mix well with other cultures. This is ridiculous. The majority of the homeless are homeless because they don't want to work the jobs. As a greenhouse manager, the local people don't want to work the jobs that the foreign workers work which is why we are required to bring them in in the first place. I have had many local workers try working in the greenhouse only to quit within weeks because they couldn't handle the work or even the heat that is required. So how are we supposed to depend on local people to do the work? The would be a worker turnover every 3 - 6 weeks. With this program we can bring in people who WANT to do the work because its a better opportunity for them than what they have back home. This is NOT the way to fix the homeless problem. High rent, high taxes and high economic standards are the cause of eat. People cant AFFORD to buy food, pay for living costs and even survive in todays society. This foreign worker programs ALLOWS us to get the work done. \n\nForeign workers brought in on the SAWP program or even low skill program aren't stealing job, they are doing the work that Canadians don't WANT to do as they can't handle it or even believe it's beneath them. Todays youth will never do the work that these people do for us. I respect the work that they do. I would love ANYBODY in the comments below to come to my farm in the middle of summer and spend 8 - 10 hours under the sun for a week and then see what their opinion is.

we needed it , too many companies in my trade use the LMIA program soooo much and now it's getting hard to find a job in my industry as it's full of immigrants, building is slowing a bit and now way too many here wanting the same jobs, plus all the labour pimps pay them less and are able to undercut us ruining wage growth

I worked in a retail store with where Indians shopped regularly. They were the very rude to the sales helps. They talked down to us and they were the worst thieves the store has ever seen. Our regular customers started going else ware because of this problem. I'm afraid Canada is no longer a great, desirable country because we have aloud it to be taken over by the east indians. It is the governments fault but is is also the fault of the indians because they have not adapted to the Canadian way of life. They want us to adapt to their way of life. It appears that the huge increase of immigrants to Canada came at the expense of poor screening process by Immigration Canada. It is true that you can't demand higher education for people you expect to perform menial jobs, but no one wants these jobs especially in a country with such high living costs, and such poor outlook of social advancement. Every society on earth have a lower social segment of uneducated and poor individuals. Unfortunately a portion of these lower class Indians landed in Canada, and aren't contributing to their new country, or to India itself. As usual, they generally are single young males; a similar situation can be appreciated in Europe with Muslim and African individuals. I can't say how many times I've received calls or e-mails from scammers from India, Pakistan, Russia, Nigeria, and China. We, in the West as common citizens, are the targets of criminals around the world trying to exploit us. If landed immigrants aren't of any positive influence to Canada, they should be denied citizenship and expelled from the country.

I am Canadian. My problem is not with the Indians, it the rate of immigration is far out pacing our infrastructures to support all of them. There's a lot of greed fueling issues. Foreigners are being exploited for cheap labor and wage suppression, indian students are being pumped into colleges at inflated rates. There was a lobby group called the century initiative that really pushed for 100mil Canadians by year 2100 that seems to have been a big part of why there was such an aggressive push. It's members were affiliated with companies that stood to profit greatly from the housing crisis.\n\nIndians are not the problem. It's a fucked up system and a lag in infrastructure. I want all that come here to thrive, and it's possible. We need to come together in order to problem solve this. \nWe can lead with empathy, and revolt with innovation. Look for opportunities to begin positive feedback loops with locals. I've noticed the accent can really make or break an interaction between Indians and locals. Really focus on perfecting the language and the local manners is my first suggestion for newcomers. \nSecondly is just to get involved. When locals see foreigners joining them in efforts to improve the community we warm up to them. When prejudice divides us, we are enabling the exploitation by the ruling classes that are disconnected from our hardship.\n\nGood luck

Problem is, they want a future for themselves, but they never hire Canadians. They will only hire their friends and family of the same origin. And because if that, us Canadians are struggling to find jobs.

Simple solution to this problem is make Toefel + GRE examination mandatory who wants to come for higher education. Just like US universities. That’s how you ensure, only inteligent and productive futureproof students comes to the country that makes this country great again.
