We can't keep taking in immigrants when there's no housing available. The immigrants aren't moving to sparsely populated regions they all move to major centres like Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Housing builds haven't kept pace. I'm sure the landlords are dancing in the streets with the inflated prices they can now charge.

I also didn't like the answer by the comissioner, because she told in a way that this is a responsibility by every country to take refugees. By this answer she provides the wrong signal to asylum seekers (that they can demand something from host countries) and also I don't think that it should be a respinsibility of the states, but their will. It should be win-win offer for both sides. But of course I think everybody would like to help to people in the trouble, but recources are not infinite everywhere also. And also there are a lot of imposters. That's why I don't like when governments provide too much social support for all. It should be, but limited. And motivate people to be independent.

Wow! Nurses make slave wages in Germany. They make between $70K and $100K before taxes in the USA. My wife makes $110K plus quarterly bonuses working 3 days per week., 8 hours per day. She schedules her own hours visiting patients at nursing homes. Many of our doctors are Indian and nurses are Filipino. Unfortunately, our current administration values low-skilled workers to take care of.

That's fucked up and it makes really freaking mad. I worked so many years and over times for what. I got chronicly ill didn't work for 3 years and got SSI and I don't even get $900 dollars. Migrants just walk over and get $1,400 WTF I'm a citizen who came here legally and paid my way ? I have nothing against migrants but darn you get all those benefits why then give them so much money. I’ve been living in Munich for over a year. Everything is stupidly expensier, tax takes 30+%, fine we do that in Mexico, but an apartment taking 30% to 50% of the remaining? F, I genuinely feel more poor than in my country. Yeah it’s safer and better, but it’s also a big challenge…

It’s not about immigration, it’s about integration. Certain people take advantage of liberal democracies, live off social welfare, don’t t contribute and want separate laws for themselves. This is what the average European is against but the politicians and media are tone deaf. The consequences are there for all to see in the UK. Even Tommy Robinson for example welcomes Indian (legal) immigrants who assimilate and contribute.

This is all politcally driven. There are actually very few jobs available. There are hundred of applications at very job ad posted by all the companies I know. I keep asking HR people, where are all these advertised jobs in channels like this? Can DW actually make a study on this? The main issue is and will be the German language. They are quite picky about it all the time. If skilled workers are getting a job which has a higher pay (higher working hours, uncertain market) in the USA, people don't mind taking it, learning a new language, high tax, kind of average salary is not going to appeal to a lot of people. Nowadays they want German language requirements for a software engineering job! People aren't open, really old and slow daily life, too much paper work, the list goes on....

This should not be legal. That's messed up. They're taking those jobs from people that actually need those jobs. It's not easy for people in South Asian middle class families to get these jobs as their English is not fluent so these jobs go to privileged and educated families. I think all we need to do is pay more attention to what’s happening throughout Europe! It is a global issue. I’m for legal immigration of all levels but the US cannot manage these astronomical numbers. It's poor planning. You can never allow population growth to outpace social services, housing, and public infrastructure. It's a recipe for disaster. The government just needs to take a practical look at what the country can and can't support.
