In Canada, there are hardly many jobs and no infrastructure for our own people. Even less willing the spend money to create jobs and infrastructure themselves. Unless you are able to build your own home and create your own business and employ US, there's next to nothing here for you as it is for ourselves.

I've lived in Victoria for more than 2 years and a half. I never feel disrespectful even though I wore my traditional clothes a few times which I found many people asked me about it and took pictures with me.

I'm a US expat living in China. In china, you cannot get a green card. I leave every 60 days because I can only stay for up to 60 days, just to turn around and come right back that same day. Once i'm back in China, I need to register my address with the police, and update my resident card. To get a 60 day business visa here, I had to get a Chinese company send me an invite, then need it to get approved. The process was expensive. But I follow Chinese law, and respect it with everything that I am. This is China and this is there laws. So who is VICE to make a victim out of this person? Just a crock of shit. This guy can go to many many countries around the world. India, Indonesia, even China but from the looks of it, this guy could not handle China. Why does he absolutely need to settle in Canada or the USA and cry when they don't want him? Go mother fucker, go anyplace in the world you want, just go.

There is nothing in the Quran about covering your face/head. That stuff is found in the Hadith. And Muslims pick and choose which Hadith they follow (even when they are found in the same books). For example, they ignore the Hadiths that talk about the FIRST version of Islam, called the Satanic Verses (Muhammad recanted that version of Islam, saying that the first angel he talked to told him the wrong things because it was actually a devil disguised as an angel). If they accept that Hadith, they have to accept that if Muhammad could be tricked by a devil the first time, what is to say that he couldn't be tricked a second time? Also, the Quran was not written down until much later, it was memorized by certain people. After a major battle a lot of those people were killed, so they had all of the remaining people write it down and there were many discrepancies (not just linguistic problems, but actual ideas that were completely different). The person in charge of compiling the versions burned all of the copies after he created one Quran. And since Muhammad was the last prophet and God only talks to prophets according to Islam, there is no way he could have had divine direction to know which to keep and which verses to scrap. There are entire books missing (such as the books that were eaten by a goat). \nNow that we have access to the Hadiths (they weren't translated to English until the 21st century) we are finding out a lot more about the history of Islam, and Muslims don't like it.

Even if they do try to do it the legal way sometimes they are not granted with any type of visa or green card. The government can deny their application for many reasons. So they end up crossing the border illegally. As well it is cheaper to cross the border than to apply for a visa or some sort of legal document. Many of these “lawbreakers” you suggest to be in jail have tired to do everything the legal way but it didn’t work out. If women are really given a higher status in Islam, why is it that under Islam a woman's testimony is only half that of a man's in Sharia court. A Muslim woman does not have the right to divorce if her husband refuses but the Muslim husband can divorce her anytime and can even marry as many as four wives but the Muslim woman can not. A Muslim woman inherits only half that of a man's in her family under Shariah Law. So how can she say that woman are given a higher status in Islam? Lol, the funniest part about most shoplifters is that they are usually white and the only reason they don't get caught is because no one is watching them or cares if they steal. Racism...even from Asians against black people, but they do not talk about it. Racism... even from black people with light skin against black people with dark skin. I am a 16 years old muslim from egypt, and I am saying that what ISIS are doing is against Islam, my relative was in the Egyptian army while he was shot by ISIS terrorists, what I am trying to say to all the world is that ISIS targets everyone, wether a muslim or non-muslim, they keep bombing masjids as well as churches, they keep killing thousands of muslims and christians in many states. I have myself experienced racial discrimination many times of last 12 yrs that I have been in Toronto CA and I am from India, especially in the neighbourhood Walmart they thought I am a thief or so...it really awkward experience every time, even in random stores I have visited I have noticed same person or two of them passing around many a time and if I wanted to go slow on shopping believe me there will be really a panic in the store. I have experienced this innumerable times in WALMART SUPERCENTER in my neighbouhood and other places also. So this is very true that my name and colour of my face matters.

What, did he think he would be given a free ride? Does he actually think immigrating to a new country wasn't going to cost him anything? How many years did he live in the US? Then, when he's about to get busted and deported back to his home country, he pulls the exact same thing, illegally crosses the border into Canada, taking the money he's stolen from the US with him, while STILL unable to speak either official languages in Canada where speaking Spanish is about as useful as a condom in a lesbian orgy, nor making any effort into actually learning said languages, and tries to claim refugee status? Refugee status for what? He's not fleeing any war or conflict, the only thing he's fleeing is deportation to his home country from the US because he crossed the border into the US and lived there ILLEGALLY, he's a fucking criminal... And yet, he STILL feels he's entitled to cross the border into Canada and thinks they'll welcome him with open arms...\n\nWhere do these people get the idea that they have the RIGHT to just enter whatever country they wish without having to go through the immigration process? These processes are there for a reason, we don't allow just anyone to immigrate here...\n\nImmigrating to the US is a PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT... Immigrating to Canada is a PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT... \n\nThe fact that this guy and his family have entered 2 countries ILLEGALLY and stayed within its borders ILLEGALLY for all this time, and in both cases, REFUSED to learn the language, and when he was about to be deported back, he fled and kept hiding from immigration officers... That makes him and his family CRIMINALS, and rightfully so... They should be found immediately, arrested and subsequently deported back to the US to face whatever charges, and then deported back to his home country... Period...

The issue is that the intending migrants and the general public are ignorant as to asylum law. The public think of asylum as some far reaching, grandiose humanitarian gesture- when the truth is that asylum laws provide an EXTREMELY LIMITED basis of relief. \n\nMerely coming from a dangerous country is NOT enough to win asylum, in the U.S. or Canada. A person must prove they are specifically persecuted, by the GOVERNMENT, because of some specific basis. A Central American claiming Central America is full of gangs and poverty, while true, is NOT a basis for asylum. This is why it's my personal belief that the thousands of Haitians making a run for the Canadian border have an almost zero chance of receiving asylum- ESPECIALLY after NOT living in Haiti for many years. \n\nIn spite of this, migrants still make these claims because it forces the country to go through a time consuming legal process, and is a way to buy time and prevent their deportation. Or perhaps allow them time to find a local job, continue their education, or have a child born in the country and then make a humanitarian argument to allow them to stay, even after losing their asylum case. \n\nThe truth is, unless a country holds asylum seekers in detention for the entirety of the process, it's a given that failed asylum seekers will NOT return to their country of origin, and will simply go underground.

This is a sad story for this poor guy and I feel sorry for him.But how can anyone live in a country for more than 15 years and not speak the country's language fluently?.It really boggles my mind.C'mon.If I were to live in Germany then I'd make sure that I could speak German before moving over there.That's a crying shame.Shame on him for not speaking English while living all this time in America.I reckon that many of these illegal immigrants from Hispanic communities just don't seem to care to learn the language or to assimilate to our culture and traditions.They give us the impression that all that they want is the benefits that the country has to offer them.I guess immigration on both countries should deport the ones who've been living in the country illegally for many years and can't speak the language or don't wanna assimilate.There's just no excuse for not learning the language during all this time that he had lived in America.\nOn the other hand these people are morons for trying to go to Canada.Canada's immigration laws are pretty restricted and even tougher than in the United States.Canada will never give them a heart felt warm welcome and they should know better.They should know that Canada is a POINT OF NO RETURN.

Well, I am not going to generalize all people in the same category. There are good and bad people everywhere in the world but being first generation immigrant in Canada is really hard in every part of life. First, even you are fluent in English you will have an accent that makes big difference in your job hunting, making friends and get along with different people. Many times, I have been treated on the basis of how I look and on the basis of my accent.

Let's put it another way... I was born in Canada and I had moved abroad at 30 for work and was gone for about 10 years. When I got back, it happened to be the same year our PM was waiting at the airport for the arrival of some refugees with winter coats for them and their Medicare cards, as well as housing provided for them. I had to run around for a full month trying to get my drivers license renewed since it had expired, and had to wait a full 6 months to get a probationary Medicare card, p-r-o-b-a-t-i-o-n-a-r-y....I felt outraged. I am not saying that many don't have a valid reason to flee their country, but when they know that they will receive housing and cash, of course people will flock to Canada, even if they aren't fleeing something.

Usa is the best country to ever exist, and Canada is no competition to the USA because in America no body even talks about Canada, and I heard in Canada all y'all do is talk about America. Everyone on the planet dreams to come to the USA no one dreams to go to Canada, everyone on the planet watches American sports, basketball, football, soccer, baseball. Canada has nothing and the ?? is extremely fun and amazing so many beaches, mountains, forest, lakes, waterfalls big cities that are so fun and Canada is boring, Vancouver boring, Toronto Boring it's not like the us cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Miami, New York, Orlando, Las Vegas, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Beverly hills

There is still a lot of work to do, because there are too many black men and women who suffer from low self esteem and they believe the only way to cure such low self esteem is by inter marrying. Canada has 10 provinces and the health care is slightly different in each province. Wait until you have lived in any country for a few years before you can talk authoritatively about it. Canada is a good country to live in so is Australia but even better are some or the northern or western countries in Europe where health care is affordable and good and food is affordable and good. The USA has more millionaires and billionaires and a lot of them are in government. Think about that. Lots of guns and judging by the news quite a few racist cops who never get punished. Think about that too. Bad water in many places; also worth thinking about. There are more lobbyists than there are legislators and they all make money; think about that and ask yourself why.

when the British patience is finally lost the response to things like this will be swift. a pivotal scandal will trigger a huge shift in public opinion before too long then look out. Now that Trump is in office he is trying to fix that or make it better some how. I have often wondered why can't we have a healthcare system like Canada's but America spends all of it's money on so many things in the world because of our position on the world stage we just can't work that out, thats what happens when you're the world super power.\n Most Americans have health insurance through their employer, a certain amount is taken out of our paycheck every month and if I get sick or have an emergency I pay a small co pay at the doctors office which is 35 dollars and emergency room co pay is 150 the insurance pays the rest.

Muslims wear Burka or cover their face because. They can marry as many as 4 wives at a time. And sex slaves as much as their right hand posess so the Muslim women don't know their relative looking for his second or third wife in order to avoid becoming sexual target she chooses to cover her up. And Christian's can't convert her. Where as Muslim men go around converting Christian women initially and may even prowl on devorced working Christian women for their 3rd or 4th wives.

The UK courts have just imposed restrictive orders on Britain First, a political party, from entering Luton Town Centre. This has been done to appease Muslims as it is an area that has a high Muslim population. I am no supporter of Britain First and many of their membership are right wing thugs, but to ban people from an area because they hold anti-Islam views is effectively state sponsored non-Sharia no-go zones - it is time for the population of Europe to stand up to the invasion of Europe that has been going on for decades and has recently been accelerated significantly by the 'migrant' crisis. Islam has been trying to invade Europe for centuries - we even fought Crusades to stop the expansion, Charles Martel will be turning in his grave!!! Muslims, it is time to assimilate and understand that your barbaric and violent ideology deserves no special treatment or protection or leave for a country that supports your primitive world view! Muslim lady speaks outside of her house and discusses issues we have with the religion, because of this she fears for her safety from her own community. It shows the deep problems we have with the western values and the Muslim community, yet here we have people tip toeing around the issue saying we have no problem, its religion and beliefs and peace and love and we should just accept all Muslim communities even tho this lady is telling you the problems right in front of your faces. There is so many videos you can find showing that Muslim community neighbourhoods do not want non-Muslim's in there community and they want Sharia law and they are not tolerant to outsiders and anyone that thinks different to them, even those from within there own community. 2 good examples are the town Dearborn, Michigan and Luton Town, UK of just how lack of tolerance for non-Muslim people in Muslim majority communities they have.

Christians are not under the law of even their own Bible. That is because Jesus fulfilled the law when he died and rose again. Now to those that think Christianity and the Islam is the same you are naive. Firstly the violent verses in Christianity is speaking as part of the old testament temple law. and as I said earlier Jesus dies to fulfill the law, so we are not under the law, and any other violent verses in the Bible is in fact a description of a historical event... \nNow the Quran prescribes the violence in the newer verses. The Hadith is a collection of Mohammad's sayings. so the followers of islam are supposed to follow that too. ISIS are some of the most devout Muslims in the world and follow the Quran and the Hadith to the letter. To say ISIS does not represent islam is like saying tele-evangelists are not a part of Christianity. (And I am sure some of you might actually agree with that) but the fact is it does. The personal character of them does not always represent Christianity. Jesus was perfect Mohammad was not. Tolerance is not a one way street. Canadians (and other westerners) should wake up and realize that, and also form a basic understanding about the evils of islam, that muslims stand for.\nMany douchebags and pseudo-liberals of the Ben Affleck kind, will go to great lengths to defend islam and muslims while knowing absolutely nothing about that religion or its followers, with the only purpose being to selfishly display how PC they are. A true liberal person will value their acquired freedoms and privileges, and not be tolerant of the intolerant. Furthermore, real leaders should not be afraid to bring these points up, backing them up with hard evidence (not just hear-say or opinions), for the purpose of protecting civilised society: so that muslims and non-muslims all can understand why islam is incompatible with western civilisation. If muslims are offended by any of that, then that offence is brought on by themselves. PC has no place here.\n\nHere are some reasons why islam is incompatible with civilised society:\n1. Muslims consider the quran to be the perfect book and their prophet to be the perfect man, who's behaviour is to be aspired to, so perfect that any imagery of him does him great injustice and is forbidden. Other than being plain stupid, this in itself doesn't affect civilised society much (except free speech when drawing cartoons), but this does becomes a critical point in combination with the next points:\n2. A perfect man does not marry a 6 year old girl and then f*ck her when she's 9. But that's what their perfect prophet did and they know it, often justifying it as being in a different time. Well no time ever has been ok for a 50+ year old man to f*ck a 9 year old. \n3. In this religion that muslims consider perfect, apostasy is to be punished by death (quran 4:89). This combined with the fact that muslims consider their religious doctrines more important than man-made (western) law is something that makes them incompatible with civilised society. Of course they benefit from the civilised society, but not vice versa. \n4. Then there are the many verses in the quran that order muslims to fight non-muslims (and specifically jews), order death for adultery and homosexual behaviour, etc. Just search and you'll find as there are way too many to list here. Islam is an extremely controlling religion, it intervenes in everything aspect of human life, even as far as with which hand is to be used for eating and which for wiping off after taking a dump. It also declares itself to be the only true and last religion leaving no space for other religions or atheism. This is what makes it such a totalitarian and fascist religion.\n\nMuslims won't deny these points I listed, but they often will try to evade addressing them. \nToo keep a long story short: if you are really a tolerant/liberal person, then you stand your ground and stand for civilised principles, and don't tolerate or defend islam like some traitorous PC pseudo-liberal Ben Aslick sort of character.

I used to be a very liberal person for most of my life and tolerant of other cultures and religious faith, like many others I may add.\n However my tolerance is wearing somewhat thin, like many others I may add again, after hearing the same old opinions coming from Muslims repatriated in western societies. \n They come into our cultures on mass and never assimilate into ours, but create their own little pockets of cultural being within our national borders.\n We hear time and again how the indigenous populist must be accepting of them, even though very few are accepting of our culture, using an analogy it's akin to inviting a stranger into your home and give them a safe place to live, food, money and all items that go along with it, and the next thing their sat on your favourite chair with your remote in their hand, even going to bed with your wife!\n We need to wear our head covering it's our right they chant, OK then, afford the same favours to us in your country, let my partner wear her bikini when she's walking down the road, let us drink alcohol, build Christian churches, you get where I'm going with this.\n If it's so great there why do you choose to live here? All the customs you seek are there if you feel that uncomfortable here? \nGiving Sewden as an example, there are now 180 Muslim 'ghettos' not the same you get in the US as the accommodation and welfare is quite generous there, a lot of them are 'No-go' areas even for the police, they mostly hate the Swedish people, a criminal element there will only rob off the swedes, and rape has gone up tenfold committed mostly by the Muslims, and it's only going to get worse as they are accepting another forty thousand of them, even though they have a crisis of a shortage of housing. \n If you ever needed an example of when your political parties have totally lost the plot, and are insanely progressive and what your country could become, then use Sweden as a barometer as to what your country could also decay into.\n The Muslims hate use, hate our freedoms, and just think of us as 'infidels' , multiculturalism has proved on this scale that it does not work, unless immigrants come with the mindset that they assimilate into the culture they are heading for, not the other way around.

Here's what gets me... growing up as a kid, I witnessed many Polish women wearing babushkas. Nobody ever complained about them or even batted an eye. But covering your face when going into a bank or working with the public is NOT a good idea.

You do realize Islam is extremely diverse ,there are so many schools of thoughts and sects . Most of them are peaceful people and all the attention is on a very small amount that are extreme in ideology. Generalizing Muslims into one group is laughable as for Niqab I dont believe it is Islamic , my school of thought doesnt even believe Hijab or headcover is obligatory but that doesnt mean they should be stripped of citizenship and deserve to die ...I think thats extreme too. I think if people in the west can walk outside in a thong and bra or completely naked at gay festivals then whats the problem with wearing too much clothes...honestly I think as human beings you should be free to wear whatever you want.\n.

The Niquab is not a requirement in Islam. It's HER personal choice. Even the head scarf is debated but seems to be the norm as a requirement for Muslim women. But many Muslim women do not cover their face and hair. Many wear ALOT of makeup.

As a Muslim living in Canada, I don't see the harm in a woman wanting to cover herself, I wear the head scarf myself, but in my opinions I don't feel the need to cover myself to prove I am more modest or a better Muslim.  I believe everyone has free will and has the right in this Country to dress the way that the law has allowed them to.  No one has the right to tell someone how to dress, not even the Prime Minister himself.  Telling a woman what she can and cannot wear is oppression.  I truly believe that if Muslims want to live in Western civilization, then they should refrain from covering their faces because the face is our identity and People have the right to know who you are and what your face looks like.  You cannot vote with a covered face, you cannot cover your face in a passport photo, you cannot cover your face for your driver's licence etc... I am a Muslim woman and I say this.  It truly is a shame how the media is portraying Islam and the Muslim people as a whole, and it truly is a shame that Canadians have become so ignorant.  I see more ignorance and racism in Canada than I do in America and 9/11 took place in America.  If you want to know about Islam, learn about Islam from a Muslim, a Library, google Islam, or offer to spend a few days with a Muslim family for research to get a better understanding of Islam and Muslims.  As a Muslim myself I can understand the hatred and the ignorance because we act according to how we were taught and raised, and yes we have many extremists claiming to follow the Islamic faith.  These extremists are not only hurting Western civilization, but they are also hurting the peaceful moderate Muslims that value their rights and freedoms as Canadians.  I do not appreciate ISIS hijacking my religion, I do not appreciate Hamas or Hezballah hijacking my Religion because I am a very accepting person and a very open minded Muslim and to be defined by media as a problem or a terrorist is very hurtful and a shame.

This might a little of topic but many of the practices that Muslims do are very good health wise \n\n1) while making wudo (a special wash before prayer) when we rinse our nose with water to that cleans until the the bone at the top of our nose is so good that it actually finishes allergies like if you have pollen allergy because when you clean it is getting less sensitive and more stronger I know someone (I've met someone) that had an allergy with fur or something and they made wudo very often and in actually 2 years they had no allergies\n\n2) when we pray:\nThere was a young man who wasn't so practising so he didn't pray he spent his time working out and doing track and field during one of his runs he fell and fractured a bone when the went to the doctor (non Muslim doctor) he told the guy to do some actions that will help in recovering his bones and the acts that the doctors showed him were the actions we do in our prayer, the guy decided to do these actions but not by itself but in his prayer and this was giving to him by a person that wasn't even Muslim!\n\n3) when Muslims cover ourselves many guys don't hit on us because when we cover ourselves its a sign so show that we are not into these kinds of stuff \nIf you want to see proof search up walking in NYC for 10 hours by AreWeFamousNow\n\nSo next time you say that we are crazy doing this stupidity we are protecting ourselves and we are treating our body good health wise.

My experience in Canada has been largely positive, with only minimal racial difficulties.  As a teenager, I do recall some kids making blatantly racist comments, when I was the only minority in the room; but they were silly girls, popular and full of themselves, and most of the students who heard did not laugh with them. We all knew it was wrong.  Another time I was told, by an agent, that a potential employer claimed she would not hire me because of my race.  I did not hear these words firsthand, though, so it was impossible for me to verify the truth. In the end, I let the matter alone. Other people,  I realize, have endured severe injustices; such have not been my experience, but this does not subtract from their reality.  Indeed, racism does exist, and shall remain as long as there are imbeciles wallowing in the mire of ignorance, people who cling to an absurd sense of superiority for lack of something more meaningful to hold.  As well--and it must be said!--quite likely, we all have, at some point, entertained discriminatory thoughts. 'Tis not a 'black and white' problem but a human one, and we must be mindful of it beginning with ourselves.  Canada, then, with its many inhabitants and complex history, will never be the exception. We can't expect perfection among people, here or anywhere else in the world.  Even so,  I believe there are enough fellow Canadians who strive to treat people as individuals and are happy to make friends across cultures.  My life has been and continues to be a testament to that!  Whatever our troubles, we still retain a proud heritage of diversity and progressive ethnic harmony.  We do try, and for this reason I love my country.  I am deeply patriotic and immensely proud to be part of it!  

so blacks play the race card in canada too, huh...  here's a thought:  there are many countries in the world where the majority are blacks.  it's almost like, instead of bitching about whites in white countries, you can move to black countries or return even to your motherland, africa so all the bitching can stop.  crazy concept, huh?
