My wife is a US citizen and has been living in Canada for many years now. She has always said that Canada is the better of the two countries and that she would never move back to the US.

Former US citizen here, now EU citizen - no way in heck would I ever wish to live in the US again. The education, healthcare and overall quality of life is so much better. Cost for 1 year for full medical (hospital, gp, prescriptions & dental) less than a thousand for a family of 5, I pick my doctors, specialist and hospitals. My current prescriptions cost less than 200 a year, pricing what it would be in the states it would be more around 1000 a month.\nFor any US citizen considering moving please be prepared to file & pay taxes to the US, FEIE doesn't cover everything. Good luck getting a bank account FATCA. There are a lot of things to consider and prepare for before moving.

Canadians are too kind and polite to tell you a straight N O... never in a million years would I move to the USA. There are too many reasons never to move there! Between your nasty guns and Second Amendment #*!$$#@ ( times have changed since 1776!) It's almost like you can't even trust your own family or Neighbors with your stupid gun laws. What about medical? Ours is FREE and it doesn't matter if you have pre-existing conditions ever. We do not get the Hurricanes, tornadoes, major flooding, and extremely ugly ugly politics. I'm not saying we're perfect but we're a hell of a lot better than the u.s.a. there are many many more reasons but I have not mentioned.

Any trip outside the United States will tell you about how few people would want to move to the US if they could live in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, or Europe instead. Probably a whole lot of other places, too. The United States has too many of its citizens living in fear. That’s a culture whose very admirable democratic and social goals are subverted by worshipping aggression and religious extremism, the very things they say they were fighting against in the Middle East and Afghanistan. I know that many Americans feel that way about their country and their fellow citizens but feel powerless to change it and that the plutocracy (which is largely in day-to-day control) seems to block any progress towards a better way of living.

My American husband and I moved to Los Angeles from Montreal, because of the fact there was still a lot of live music compared to other places. It was a great 17 years of music but guns started to be more of an issue. Health care was big, and was going to affect us soon, and then tRUmp came in . We knew that the changes were NOT going to be for better health care, or better gun laws, or better immigration policies, and we moved back to Canada. Now we don't even want to visit because of the current situation re all the aforementioned issues. I wouldn't dream of moving back. And numerous friends have asked how can they get into Canada.The Canadian immigration site crashed when tRump won. if not married to a Canadian, most people would be rejected. i appreciate our system of government; tRump would have been tossed out early on with a Vote of No Confidence.

The reason why more people (like engineers and doctors) from China and India want to move to USA ?? is for better life. Why would an Engineer or Doctor from Norway, Switzerland or Luxembourg want to move to US ?? their home country is already offering what they could ever ask for, a high paying job with decent living ?.

All I can say as a Canadian is why would anyone want to move to the USA.The more I learn the more I love where I live the USA is a hot mess and watching the kind of people that you elect is mind boggling . Why would anyone support a bottom feeder like Donald Trump to run their country. You don't have to be a scholar to realize this man is beyond corrupt and a really bad person. Who in the world other than a 12 year old, makes up names for people and whine all the time just watching this man perform is an eye opener and as a Canadian I'm embarrassed for Americans. This man is taken a once great country and making it a laughingstock. This man should be pushed aside and find someone better to represent the Republicans . If this is the best you got you guys are in trouble.

Why would I move from a country that is near the top of best countries to live in list to one that is number 21. There are 20 better places to live. Just watch Fox News for five minutes is enough for me. I lived 30 minutes from the boarder and have not crossed it in 10 years.

As a Canadian there looks like some great places to visit in the USA but i would never move to the US. The biggest issue in the US is Gun violence, there attachment to guns. Number two is health care, number three is weather volatility and more adverse weather conditions. Instead of one main government the US seems to have two which prevents any real change for the better. Money controls more government and political decisions than even in Canada which is already bad enough. The NRA controls more government and policing. They are seen as the bigger risk to American safety and security. I believe many Canadians believe the NRA are on the cusp of being the largest domestic terrorist organization and closure to a major cartel. Not even the military could control the NRA if the US decided to enforce new laws that the NRA felt would effect their financial, political or perceived control in the US. This is a big reason Canadians may not want to move to the US. To think there is a private military ready to go to war against their own people in the drop of a hat, reminding North Americans of the war between the North and South. There are beautiful places to see in the US, there are hard working and brave people in the US and i am sure there are more good people than bad but those with power, control and weapons have the great degree of balance. The US has a lot to be proud of and still so much possibility and ability to grow if it were not for those with the majority of power that is not being used for good or in the best interest of the majority of US citizens. Love the architecture and old districts and those trying to preserve the environment, farms, seed diversity and best of what made the US great.

You have an entire political party pushing racist crap... it happens in every state but it is much worse in Republican states..... I lived in Florida while I went to post secondary school there and I won't go back. F#$k FLorida's fascism and racist BS, it can be underwater anytime now and the world would be a better place because the focal point of fascism is in Florida\nI have been to California and drive to Florida from Alberta. I've been all over the US and I can tell you that I would never ever move to the US. We got McDonald’s and star bucks I’m Canadian but I wouldn’t want to move to the states maybe 15 years ago that would have been a cool adventure but not now. Insurance is needed and most of us do pay more for better.\nPersonal freedoms are being eroded as I write this.\nNot rights to self defence.\nI can go on. My family is already looking into moving south. Canada is a failed experiment.

I'd be hard pressed to move to USA cuz your medical system prices, wages are less and so many people in a much smaller landscape. Id go for your constitution (1A, 2A) absolutely but Biden is a BIG turnoff for sure, your housing is way cheaper, your taxes are cheaper but... in Canada there is way more space where you can go and not see anybody besides moving to Northern Alaska, Montana or North Dakota. There are PROS and CONS to living in USA/Canada but I would move for dual citizenship and if I had guaranteed medical coverage but still keep a place in Canada to escape back to in case your country imploded under your current government or if I needed medical attention. It would be way better if you had a normal POTUS like Trump imo. Your money is at least worth the face value on the dollar bill... Cdn cash is like worth 50 cents US... we are like a peso currently.

I'm retired, so work wouldn't be an issue. I have health issues so for that alone I wouldn't. If I was healthy and independently wealthy I would move somewhere with better weather. I'm a hermit so I just avoid people anyways. LOL

Healthcare, political craziness, hate, violence, gun violence, religious zealots, our education is way better in general, racism, the anti lgbt. I had a friend whos family split up and all 4 children and their mom ended up down in Philadelphia somewhere (some cult/religious thing she got into that started the whole divorce ect) and they would come back to Canada for visits. When he would explain going to school, having to walk through metal detectors on the way in, guarded by cops with SMG's I just couldn't fathom what he was talking about or why it would be needed. Luckily I managed to convince him to stay one time when he came and visited and still lives here. Personally I'm considering moving with how hostile my government here in Canada has become to anything oil/gas/nuclear/fertilizer. My trade (Steamfitter/Pipefitter) is being reduced to shut down work only and I have some family down in Texas and its pushing me more and more to start looking elsewhere for work. However I'm single, if I had a family there would be no way id leave. As good of healthcare you have down there (way better than most if not all of Canada in relation to wait times and expertise), one long illness or something and they drop your health care? Your screwed. Plain and simple.

If I had to move somewhere I'd go to Ireland, UK, Denmark, Italy, Costa Rica, some Caribbean Island but never the USA. If you fixed your health care, excessive gun violence and lower your crime rate through better social service system (instead of locking everyone up), Stopped using culture war nonsense to pit your population against each other then I would move there.

I’m shocked that you’re surprised about all the comments around our children and school safety. That would be my first of many reasons for not moving to the States. Healthcare, women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, etc etc…… \nCanada is not perfect, no country is, but it’s light years better than the States. Why would anyone want to move into a country that is full of (Christian Right Wing Taliban Fundamentalists) backed by the (Federalist party). With your gun culture, politics and health care system in no way would I ever move to the US. Our Canadian political system may not be perfect but it's WAY Better then the US, how in HELL can Donald ever be allowed to run again for President after what he has done and have people still support him ??? \nJust a little over 20 years ago I met and became good friends with a young woman while we were playing an MMORPG. We spent most of our free time playing different RPGs over the years together. Around 9 years ago she came down with some kind of a illness and thank goodness she had healthcare through her job. The thing is though the system couldn't/wouldn't identify what was causing her decline in health. She went through all kinds of tests but became sicker and sicker in years to come. She died in October of 2021 but before she died we both wondered if the health care system was just milking her insurance and not really taking proper care of her. BTW she lived in SLC Utah. Going back to your gun culture though she felt safe living in SLC the mall she went too had a mass shooting and she also carried a pistol in her purse. ( she had a permit ) I have never known any woman in Canada who felt that she needed to carry a gun in her purse for safety.

I was never interested in moving to the States but I think my reasons are different then most.\n\nStarting in my teens, I couldn’t understand why anyone would willingly live somewhere you couldn’t wander in the wilderness without worrying about things like poisonous snakes and poisonous bugs. I couldn’t understand what was so great about swimming in the sea if you have to worry about what part of the beach and how far out you go. How can swimming be fun? Lakes and rivers are much better. \n \nWhen I got older, I couldn’t understand how anyone could enjoy summer when the sun goes down so early in the evening. I left Vancouver, BC partially because the summer days are shorter then home and the winters are too dark. Even on an overcast night in winter up here, the light reflects off the snow and makes the night brighter. Do I like -30C or colder when it happens? No. I can’t walk the dogs because their feet might freeze but they’re idiots and will wrestle in the house if I don’t.\n\nNow that I’m almost 60, I note that all of my American cousins who had duel citizenship have moved back to Canada upon retirement where the conversation rate makes their pensions worth more and after 3 months they qualify for BC medical.\n\nThe guns, healthcare, right wing “Christians”, loss of human rights and potential for violence are why I don’t want my daughter to ever move there.

I dont have a problem with the average American but life in Canada is everything you could ask for. Health care of course but here you can truly do what you want and live your dream if you work for it. Every single person here stands a chance to do amazing things if they have the drive and motivation. We take care of each other here and there are always lots of jobs. \n99% of Canadians would never move to the States unless it was ridiculous to turn down a huge opportunity. But your average person, never. We have it way better here. I have spent a fair bit of time in America. While I have enjoyed it and met some great people there is no comparison when it comes to overall quality of life in every regard.

I absolutely would move to the US but I don't think it will be any better as the US is number 1 on the globalists list to subjugate. If RFK gets voted in I may consider it. I don't trust Trump he gave the world the clot shot. I love the US Constitution and that courts in the US are not all corrupt and actually uphold people's rights not so much in Canada. I just dont like the levels of violent crime in the US. I wouldn't mind Alaska or Maine, or other states that are sparsely populated and quiet country living with very little crime.

The big 3 reasons against have been very well articulated in the video. Social safety net is lacking, health care system is\nmentally stunted, Gun culture and Religiosity are far too entrenched in the American psyche. I would add overcrowding,\na more hyper rat race, and...it's too damn hot in many places. Positive reasons to consider the move are American dominance of pop culture, ask most of the best Canadian Actors...and if you are wealthy and want to remain in Canada, it must be nice to be a snow bird for 4 months each year. Truly wealthy people can find ways to avoid taxes in both countries. I will say that the U.S. does seem to have a far better choice of regional and international food culture, in spite of the corporate fast food dominance.

According to Education Week, there have been 23 school shootings in the US this year, almost one per week. According to CNN, there have been more than 350 mass shooting so far (July 16, 2023). If I were of child bearing age, i would not consider moving to any state with severe reproductive health restrictions. \nI am more concerned about the growing militancy of the far right, along with the growing willingness of the right wing establishment to erode democratic processes and institutions in the US. Prior to the Trump presidency, I would have considered moving to the US for the better climate. Not now.\nAnd speaking of climate, I saw a report the other day that the waters around Florida had reached hot tub conditions.

I am scandinavian and I would NEVER move to the US, Canada though is one of my favourites if I were to move somewhere else. I agree with the Canadians on reddit on every point. My tip would be - visit Canada and experience yourself why this is the case. You can always make a new home for yourself in Canada, and have an even better life there. With all that you now have learnt about Canada, you're halfway there. Just visit, and see the US/Canada from another point of view. north of the border. Hope you do someday, why miss out on this fantastic country, people and culture anymore?!! Good luck! ???

About 25 years ago I would have been happy to move to the U.S. It looked my current job was about to end, and I had a skill set that matched what a lot of employers in the U.S. were looking for. Unfortunately U.S. immigration laws made that extremely difficult. Now I'm retired, and I would still like to move to the U.S., except for the fact that I would have no health insurance down there, and health care costs in the U.S. are the highest in the world. It's true that you do need a gun down there though, and you'd better be trained in how to use it.

Don't take any of this to heart... remember that in Canada our Nightly News includes the US and the rest of the world ... good and bad .As a kid we travelled the States for 30 days every summer. We never encountered any problems except for racism. I remember we went to Wendy's for lunch we never had one in Canada back then. The manager walked up to the young kid cleaning the window and said nigger do better. We were all horrified and my dad looked at us three girls and said keep your mouth shut don't say anything. Despite that experience the States has so much to offer even today. Now as an adult my concern would be Healthcare and violence. I cannot comprehend people bearing arms at a McDonald's or Walmart or Target. I would still move to the US but be very picky about where. My opinion as a Canadian with no first hand life experience in the states but personally know plenty of people who do and follow many Americans on social media.\n\nI like to look at both sides of the story when I don’t personally know any better. First thing is when it comes to health care, Canadians use only the cost as an argument but never the quality. The only time I will ever use the government funded healthcare is for a broken bone. Any other issues my knowledge and experience makes me stay far and clear away from the hospitals. However I was talking with a retired business man who spends winter in Florida and he said he had a health issue while there, was referred to a certain doctor by a friend, made an appointment within a few days, not a yearlong waitlist, and with one visit had his issues fixed. Paid the bill and was done with it. Not a story of take this for a while then come back, come back to get referred to a specialist, wait a few months for the specialist, get an appointment 6 months later, and after surgery you feel only slightly better because in your mind you should be better. I do believe Canadian healthcare is low quality and sadly designed for the government to make money. American healthcare is private and needs to offer good quality services in order to succeed.\n\n\nNext subject is violence. Everyone I know and follow in the states have never had any major acts of violence towards them. I believe just like Canada, some areas are more prone to violence but since the states have 10x more people, they have 10x more violent spots which makes it seem worse. Rural Canada and rural United States seems to me very similar in the way people treat each other. \n\n\nI wouldn’t be scared to move there if that’s what would be best. Doubt it’ll happen because I enjoy having the amount of unpopulated area to go riding atvs, snowmobiles, and whatever else. Seems like the states have less area that everyone can freely enjoy but I could be wrong

Canadians who say that they'd never move to the USA fall into these groups:\n\nA) Ignorant: People who get their news about the USA from the CBC or any of the other MSM FAKE NEWS outlets.\n\nB) Leftists/Liberals: People who would only ever move to Leftist/Liberal havens, such as New York, California or Washington; and they're aware of how those states are extremely dangerous, with violent crime on the rise, extremely high taxes and fascist governments that make Trudeau look good.\n\nC) The Elderly: Unfortunately, most elderly people in Canada are on a fixed income; and the meager healthcare they're allowed to receive is still far better than anything they can afford in the USA.\n\nI'd consider moving to a number of states in the USA. I am Canadian, I was born here in the 60's, I've travelled around the world, including the US but have always lived and worked in Canada. I love my country. saying that now....\nThe last 10 years for Canada has been the worst ever in history, our government has destroyed the foundation of what it means to be Canadian and has made this country look very bad on the world stage.\nEventually that will change. This currently gives reasons why a Canadian wants to move from Canada.\nYou are right about the US, there are places you can move to that offer quiet, country, safe living but like Canada, those places usually trade the good life for lack of opportunity.. the difference is most of Canada gives you the good life and opportunity in the same place. A good example, Billings Montana or Red Deer Alberta... if you compare the 2, they are close, but overall life in Red Deer would be better.\nCulture has changed thoughts too, I could never get used to seeing anyone other that law enforcement carrying a gun.. I realize Americans have the right to carry guns.... but why? are you being invaded?\nI will pick up a gun if i need too in order to protect my country, but I don't need to prove it by displaying it in public. I would consider living in the USA but I would lose many of my Canadian veterans benefits and services that I currently receive. My grandparents are from North Dakota. I could use that to get citizenship through derivation… but then there would be the requirement to file income taxes in both countries. Any tax free benefits I get as a Canadian vet, would loose their tax free status and become taxable if I claimed my citizenship… so I have decided not too. If these issues were not in play, I would consider moving to northern Minnesota or Montana or Vermont. Somewhere close to the Canadian border, close to family but in a better climate zone. I like growing my own food and a longer growing season with nicer forests would be awesome. The climate in Manitoba is not the greatest for growing a variety of trees… and the trees do not get very big. I love Orlando and spend about 6 weeks a year there… but I could not see myself living there full time. Sometimes I will drive the 3600 km south to Orlando and I get a really good view of the wealth disparity in the USA… So that alone, I am happier in Canada… knowing that there is a better safety net for us should a situation in life happen that would leave you broke and homeless in the USA

As a Canadian, I would consider moving to the US if I was already independently wealthy. The US is hands down the best place in the world to be rich. Canada is not perfect, but it's better for regular people.

Right now, you'd have a better chance being Mexican and willing to work in a restaurant or factory. \nAs far as moving to the USA, no way. NEVER! Not even if you pay me. Right now, only crazy alt-right Canadians and rural Prairies gun nuts want to move to the USA, more specifically Southern states like Florida and Texas. \nAlso, you were born there and all of the things that we find extreme in the US, you might just see as normal. Just like most of you think bagged milk or Ketchup chips are weird, when almost half of American women got plastic bags inserted INSIDE their milk producing organs, and you put ketchup on French fries, which are basically thick potato chips. \nEverything is relative.

To be fair, Alberta is the most conservative province in Canada. We call it the Texas of Canada for a reason...\nMaybe she wasnt aware of this, but she would have been better off moving one of the other provinces. Like Ontario or British Columbia.

All of these points are subjective. I think the point system you used and the subjects you talked about are biased. I would have given the USA a point for innovation and job opportunity. There is more opportunities, because more companies choose the USA. We have a higher population so even thought there is more job opportunities in the USA, it is also very competitive. Your video gave a point to Canada for vacation and maternity leave rather than innovation and job opportunities. A lawyer in the USA has a better chance of practicing law than a Canadian lawyer. You gave a point to Canada for healthcare because of life expectancy. However I’d still give a point to the USA for healthcare. The life expectancy is a separate subject. The life expectancy is lower in the USA because of what we eat here. I would give a point to Canada for healthier food. In the USA fatty diet with sugary sweets is common here.\n\nThe video was really pros and cons for liberals. As an American, I could make a list that is biased towards the USA. There are 196 countries on earth and as someone who has studied Art History and Anthropology I plan on visiting all of them. Why? Because there are too many videos of black people all over the world who have been either born in those countries or are expats and moved there and they show how happy they are and how life abroad is better than America. Also, I have noticed that both SYSBM/Passport Bros and Black Women Divestors have been getting alot of pushback discouragement from traveling or moving overseas. I think I know why. See, if the majority of black people (men and women) were to leave the U.S. in more than 50% that means that they would be taking their $1.24 Trillion dollar buying spending power with them along with their tax dollars and despite the racism here in America the elites want to keep us here for monetary reasons. I truly believe that their is a hidden agenda to keep blacks stuck here in America by any means necessary and I don't buy it.

Vancouver is a depressing place!! I am Canadian and proud of it!! The government is not kind to its citizens. It is like the US. It is cold! Yes!! But at least we are not being shot at!! I would I wouldn’t move to either one of those places they’re just not worth it not to me I’m an American born and raised in the USA America isn’t all that either but it’s a land of milk and honey and that’s why a lot of people want to come and I’m trying to get in America gives you a lot of free things that other countries will never ever give you so people better pray and see where God wants you first

Canadian here, and this video is right on the money for some of the most frustrating things about Canada! \n\nOur proudest achievement is our healthcare system, but up until recently, the government has been choking it little by little. Making it so difficult for any Doctor/Nurse to even consider finding work here (and making it impossible to afford getting a medical degree) because you are literally doing it for the love of the game at this point. \n\nEven if you become a specialist in a specific field (which pays really well compared to most careers here) it is unlikely any hospital will hire you. Our hospitals are only interested in making profits by pushing painkillers on Canadians, rather than hiring medical professionals to help fix them. If you become a family Doctor, it is a bit better, because you can open your own practice. But kiss your social life goodbye if you do! The most annoying part of this problem is some people blame all this on the fact that we have healthcare and assume a private American system would be better. Where the real problem is we need more workers and funding into our healthcare to make it better. Not making lives harder for poorer Canadians!\n\nWeirdly enough our Tax system issue didn't stand out as a problem to me until I left Canada and see how taxes are marked elsewhere! It blew my mind that I didn't have to do math when I visited another country and the way we advertise wages is purposely deceptive! In Ontario, we succeeded in getting a $14 hour minimum wage (only in Ontario and maybe one other province). Which sounded amazing until you realize that's $14 without tax... To compare, I was incredibly lucky in Toronto where I found a place for 750 a month and was earning $16 an hour. Sounded like more than enough for the cost of living, but after taxes I was pretty much putting more than half my monthly income in rent. On top of that I had to pay for student loans and other bills. \n\nBottom line, if you are wanting to move to Canada for our beautifully scenic environments, free healthcare, and a stable job? \n\nMove to Finland.

I moved to Canada from the US a few years ago. I lived in the US for over 30 year and the US government is a JOKE. Congress never got anything done regardless on what party is in office. If you're gay or trans I wouldn't move to the US because it's been very dangerous for that community especially in red states. The US still can't get better gun control to stop all of the mass school shootings yet and they think TikTok is the main threat right now. You can see where their priorities are. You can tell I moved to Canada due to political reasons lol Sure the cost of living in Canada are higher and I had to get adjusted to colder weather, but it was the best thing I ever did and I would NEVER move back to the US any time soon.

& who the hell would wanna come here? like our government is destroying canada .... canada is not what it used to be at all like at all. so do your research before you move here cuz reality is were on a rocky path right now and its not gonna get any better anytime soon.

I am originally from Buffalo, NY and we are literally 5 to 10 minutes away from Ontario CA, 1 hour away from Toronto, CA. It is better to me than American. The streets are clean, it is not segregated and food portions are smaller. The only thing I never understood is when Canadians came to Buffalo how they totally switched gears and started acting router then how they normally at the Canada. They also love to litter up in Buffalo, NY as well but they wouldn't be doing that in Canada. I used to work at the cheesecake factory here in Buffalo New York. And I guess there's not a cheesecake factory Canada. But we used to always get slammed because of how close we were to Canada and how Canadians love cheesecake factory. But they will trash the bathrooms , leave their clothes in the bathrooms. Was very rude to staff. It was crazy. But other than that if I had the money I would move to Canada. I heard a rumor, that taxes are higher up there because your health care system is universal and the colleges are free in Canada. Is that true?

I think you ladies are way out in left field and you really don't know what you're talkin about. Unfortunately for some people it doesn't work out for whatever reason usually because they do not want to assimilate very well. I grew up in Ontario to a french-canadian father and an Italian mother in my life in Canada was so perfect said if I had to dream up a better life I could not have done so. I grew up playing all the sports and enjoyed all the different sports and the changes of seasons. My parents had a summer home on the st-lawrence river and every summer we water-ski swam fished, play golf in the morning and barbecues every night right on the water. Even though my grandfather was in the hotel business I was all about sports and enjoying everything about it. I grew up in a town of about 50 thousand about 40 miles from Montreal. When I wanted some great nightlife just drove a short drive to Montreal and it had everything did anyone could want in Nightlife. I have lived in United States for forty years and I can tell you that it really isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Heaven forbid should you get some kind of catastrophic illness you are screwed. I knew a woman who work for travelers insurance for 30 years at the best insurance a money could buy had suffered a couple of strokes and was on the verge of going broke had she not died when she died. People think that insurance continues to pay his long as you're ill and nothing could be further from the truth. This lady was going to have to sell her house to continue paying for round-the-clock care had she not died when she did. United States middle class is getting wiped out. I've seen enough poverty and hardship in this country to last a lifetime. I find greed to be running rampant in this country. When I grew up in Canada there was always the grass is greener on the other side and when I did move over to the other side the US that is I can tell you unequivocally the dead grass is not greener on the other side. There are more millions and millions of people here that are one or two paychecks away from being homeless. And we're talkin 2023. Now let's talk about violence. There is a mass murder in the United States every single day of the year. And a mass murder is defined by four or more people being killed by one person at one time. Killing these so out of control in the United States that now even six-year-olds are shooting their teacher. I find a tremendous amount of built-up Anger from people. Food is very expensive and shelter is also out of control and non affordable to most people. Again I find United States being able to paint a much Rosier picture then does really exist. And there are more con artists and thieves , Crooks, con-artists, bamboozlers, cheats and scammers then anywhere that I've ever been. And I will say this is it it ain't getting any better and I don't see it ever getting better. I find it is everybody out for themselves no matter who they cheat. I live in Southern California and I can tell you that night life where I live is non-existent. Understand that LA and Hollywood they always have to glamorize everything to sell it to tourists. Just remember that things today are not what they were 40 years ago. Middle-class people in Canada would also be just middle-class people in the US. But if your life means anything to you as far as safety and raising a family then Canada wins hands down end of discussion. People that say Canada is boring is because they are boring. That's what I found to be pretty standard across the board. Life is what you make of it. But I will say that you gals definitely need to move away if you don't like Canada. Do not let the door hit your ass on the way out. And just for your information Canada ranks annually as one of the top countries in the world to immigrate to. Canada is the second largest country in the world by land area and next to Saudi Arabia has the third largest oil Reserves in the world. Canada has huge amount of freshwater which most of the rest of the world seems to be lacking and having spent my Summers on the Saint Lawrence River one of the Great Rivers in this world. I wouldn't change my twenty years in Canada for anyplace else in this world and I will be moving back shortly.

I was born and raised on the east coast of Canada, lived in Vancouver and visited Montréal Edmonton, Calgary with the acception of Winnipeg I’ve seen every major city in Canada. \n\nI will always have pride for my country and love for my family there but it has changed dramatically since 2010.\n \nI will say the transportation in Canadian cities are better and so is the crime and the food but you have to drive a minimum of an hour to get anywhere outside the city, your not leaving that city without a car and good luck surviving without a car outside the city, and VIA rail is way overpriced. The GO train is nice though.\n\nLiving in America it has changed a lot since covid too though people are a lot more desperate and you can feel it but people are too prideful to admit, where in Canada people are struggling and they dress and look terrible and fail to dress nice because there is less prideful.\n\nCanadians are not nice people they are passive aggressive and will not got out of their way to help you most of the time (modern day) kind of like Californians.\nThe east coast Americans are rude and trashy but they will help you if you show respect. There just no fun to be around mostly ? overall North Americans are chauvinistic.\n\nJobs are harder to get in Canada and opportunity isn’t there, but it is very relaxed.\nAmerica is overcrowded and stressful especially for a Canadian.\nMontréal is cheap rent great food, and being personally bilingual I like the French, but there infrastructure is terrible and the people are depressed and disgustingly rude and they have no customer service.\n\nVancouver is overpriced in every way possible, beautiful city, great seafood but it’s not worth the price tag, you would be better of living in a San Francisco, the crime in Richmond and burnaby and new Westminster and hasting street is just as bad as San Francisco’s tenderloin.\n\nToronto is big and fun yet it doesn’t feel Canada at all, it feels like it’s been hijacked by American and foreign companies. It’s beautiful but lots of rats and bad traffic. People are relatively nicer there but it’s still expensive like New York.\nCalgary is very pretty probably my favorite, it’s just cold AF and kinda pricey. Probably perfect for families.\nEdmonton is flat and boring but I like it’s proximity to Calgary ?\nOverall it’s one of the best countries to live in the west but if you like fast paced, opportunity, diversity, traveling and are rich enough for elite education then come to America. Lastly Canada is a democracy so bills can be passed faster but that can also be a bad thing if you have a courrupt gov’t, cough cough trudeau.\nAmerica is a republic so it is harder to pass laws which can suck but it is also harder for people like uncle joe to overreach. Overall in America you are more free but in Canada you are more at peace. \n\nI’ve lived in America for six years and moved here at 20yrs so this is just my experience.

Born in Canada. Dad is American. Mom is Canadian. Lived in both (Ontario Canada, Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida). \nI moved back to canada just after 9/11. Dad thought my brother and I would get drafted. \n\nHealth care sucks for different reasons. The horror stories I can tell you that I'm STILL going through here in Canada is insane. \n\nLived in Texas just outside austin south/east going towards Lockhart. Different breed of human beings down that way. I loved Austin. Great food, good people. Though my dad caught shit because his parents Sicilian. Dude is a little less brown than aba. People thought he was Mexican. \n\nOther than Slag hills. Loved Pennsylvania. \n\nFlorida.. its Florida. Lived in Daytona. Too young at the time to have fun. I hated it but might have been better if I wasn't 10. \n\nI dunno. Ask me anything about both. I miss a lot about America. Dislike and like a lot about Canada. Depends on what you want to talk about.

I moved from the U.S. to Canada. Some observations:\n1. It's unbelievably safe in Canada. The most dangerous places in Canada are still very safe compared to much of the U.S.\n2. Outside of DC and New York and I guess Chicago and L.A. in the U.S. and Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver in Canada, you need a car. I disagree that city planning is that much better in Canada.\n3. The maternity leave in Canada is great \n4. The unemployment insurance in Canada is great too\n5. I prefer the Canadian health care system. I never experienced any long wait times. My wife had literal brain surgery and it was free whereas it would've been hundreds of thousands of dollars in the U.S.\n6. Canada is further to the left and is much more woke than the U.S. Everything here is about equity, diversity and inclusion. Even many Canadian conservatives would be moderates in the U.S. but most people know this already.\n7. There is a better work life balance in Canada. I worked a lot more when living in the U.S.\n8. Most Canadians live by the U.S. border  so the weather is not that different than most northern American states. But once you go to northern Canada, it is as cold as they say it is.\n9. The U.S. is better for making money.\n10. It is much more racially segregated in the U.S. \n11. Outside cities like Montreal and Toronto, Canada is very white.\n12. Things are much more spread out in Canada. When I lived in the U.S. driving for 1 hour to go somewhere was a long drive. In Canada, that is normal.\n13. Canada is pretty great if you like the outdoors. There's only 36 million people here and outside the major cities, you find small towns and the wilderness. \n14. Canadians are quite friendly. I know my neighbors in the country. I never knew my neighbors in the U.S.\n15. Canadian politics is boring and I like this. However, in the rural areas, it seems that people really hate Justin Trudeau.\n16. Since Canada is so similar to the U.S. it is very easy to adjust to life here.\n17. Outside of Quebec, you really don't need to speak French. \n18. The nationalism of the Quebecois is very surprising. There is no group in the U.S. this nationalistic.

Here are the solutions to every problem you have stated.\n1. Homelessness \nNot a problem at all, you're not homeless, government's taking care of them, they aren't physically dangerous so what's your problem?\n2. Racism,.\nAhh, if you're worried about racism, you should also worry sexism, class divide, tall people looking down at short people, good looking people looking down upon ugly people... this shit never ends. Ask Michael Jordan his experiences with racism, it all depends on how charming, successful, good looking and smart you are. Since it's silent you don't hear it so no problems here. \n3. Health Care\nGo visit a country that has a much better health care than Canada, such as China for a cheaper price, you get to travel and fix your health, problem solved. \n4. Technology.\nI think we can all agree that techonology is the reason our societies are fucked up. You can never have enough high tech, you can also never not have tech.\n5. Tax is a bitch in Canada, this one just straight up sucks unless if you're super rich and has a corporation, That means you can easily get around it as well. So don't be a middle class I guess?\n6. Employment sucks here, but it depends on your field, some fields pay pretty well, you just don't get the best of anything in Canada. Toronto however has the most fields meaning you can change your career without moving to another city like you do in any other city around the world.\n7. Housing is a bitch in Canada. \nBut the solution is to move to a smaller city or get a job that you work from home. \n\nIf you're not able to find solutions to these problems, don't come to Canada, leave the country if you're here and move to North Korea or any country that doesn't have captalism. Lives over there are more simple, and stop believing the lies your fake news media tells you. Those countries aren't evil, no country could be as evil as the British, Americans and its allies in 1000 years if they tried. You live on a stolen land called Canada (USA and etc) ran by criminals who are here to enslave you. What did you expect your life would be like?
