I just visited and too many homeless people it made the visit unbearable. It was a snow storm and saw people laying in the snow. Very sad. Every hotel was full and over priced I had to stay in an apartment complex converted into a hotel. $1000 Canadian dollars for a 2 room for a night was excessive. Canada needs to do better

FYI Vancouver is the 2nd city in the world where the most languages are spoken. More than 170. I lived in Vancouver for 30 years and my grandparents from the late 1930's until they died. All in all, Vancouver was part of my life for over 50 years. You can not compare Van with TO. Vancouver is very multiculteral with not alot of segregation depending on where in Van you are. TO is much larger. No mountains. No oceans. No big evergreen forests or close by trails, ect. I liked the people I met in TO but would never live there again. Van NO ice storms. But yes, Van rains much. It is West Coast after all. Victoria has many more annual sunlight hours. Van is land locked, surrounded by ocean. Most of those from TO speak negatively about BC in general. We would ask them why they are here (VCR) then. I left 12 years ago as Van is now ruined; nothing like it used to be.

America has some breathtakingly beautiful places and my girfriend and I do Storm chase down there when we get a chance, however we always can't wait to return home. I have to make a comment about the weather being “warmer” in the USA ? Lol I think it’s a bit silly as both countries are huge and have very diverse weather . Completely agree with you. I spent 6 years in Canada and quit. Both me and my husband are highly educated but had to end up with minimum wage jobs to begin with. Winters are brutal. 2013 we experienced minus 40 with snow storms !! And keeping urself PACKED in ur home for months is extremely depressing. Medical facility inspite of being free is a joke !! You are better off getting basic medicines from India. They want to fix everything with Tylenol, that too such low potency that even 20 pills will not make any difference. And just 1 crocin in India and you can run a marathon next day. Education too is pathetic. They need a calculator to add 5 +5 !! Here 6 yr old kids do mental mathematics on 4 figures in their heads !! No university in Canada can even come close to IIT'S, IIM'S and IISC ever. 12th std math and science here in India is probably taught to engineering degree students on Canada. I live in El Paso, where the fk has this sympathy been for HOMELESS VETERANS IN THE STREETS OF EL PASO?!
