Well the problem is, not uncommon that in Brampton 19 students share a 3 bedroom house from India, each pay between 500, to 800 a month for a mattress. That is between 10,000 to 20,000 Canadian dollar a month. Try to find a 3 bedroom house for a family of 4 or 5 under 2,000 a month which is a realistic price to rent. It’s a beautiful country with very high potential for ambitious people, who are willing go through the initial learning curve humbly. I have numerous life changing stories of people including myself who are living dream life because we have chosen to be comfortable being uncomfortable. Healthcare is free and way better than India. I have delivered two babies here and have received luxurious treatment with zero bill. Very satisfied to see my children growing to be polite and good human beings. All these students are from punjab a small state in india. They are just 2% of the total Indian population. They are lazy to work back home but will come here and work all kinds of menial jobs from cleaning toilets to work in farms. They are getting money by getting loan on thier farms just to show off. The only thing I would say cause you seem to be very young. Is that brampton actually in the 70's and to early 2000's used to be mostly a white and black community and then other cultures. The demographic change has been so intense everywhere in Canada especially in the last 2 years. That I have even seen podcast with Indian people who have been here 10 -20-30 years, saying the government needs to figure out a way and get a good swath of these people gone because they are. Staining them with a negative brush. Cause I can tell you. It's only in the last 5 years. That I notice Indians. I've grown up around every culture. There was a massive temple built in Guelph a few years ago and suddenly Guelph was invaded by Indian immigrants, with every house put up for sale bought by an Indian family, (the husband, his wife and their kids, the brother and his wife, their mother and father, all living in a 3 bedroom house with 3 cars in a 1 car driveway, (for some strange reason they all choose to dig up the black asphalt driveway and replace it with white concrete??) So yeah, the white people in Guelph are fleeing en mass, as it becomes impossible to sit in the back yard, or open a window, without choking on the powerful stench of spices coming from the Indians living next door... it's like being punched in the face from the horrific smell when you walk your dog and pass by one of their homes! I have been living in canada for 3 years now and I Agree and Disagree on this video. Yeah, Canada has one of the largest natural resource but utilities bill is more than that of India. Yes, canada's population is half of Gujarat's population, but just check the rent in canada once. Many people here prefer living in an EV to avoid rent. Canada may be exporting fertilizers, but Canada has to import food and veggies from other countries and its damm expensive. Ab koi log bolenge, then go back to India.. I am not saying canada is bad. The only reason i am still here in canada is because of its work culture. Work culture in canada is wayyyyy more stress free than that of India's. And just dont get me started with the amount of crime and gun shots. Coz I have seen many news related to gun shots in metro and buses and people gets killed without any reason. And one of the worst things in canada is Drugs. Just last week, I took a walk down two blocks alone at 2 am. It literally scared a shit out of me bcuz of the druggies and homeless people. Even my canadian colleagues are fed-up of this drug abuse and crime. \n\nSo, canada may look all goodie good from outside, but reality is way diff than that.

And this is why we shouldn’t pay crazy sums of money to foreign universities- it’s a rip off. They can tell you to go back home anytime after pocketing your parent’s life savings. \n\nIt’s easy for them to say go back - what people don’t realize is that if an Indian pays fees in Canadian dollars, they will need at least 15 yrs of earning in Rupees to pay it back. Where it would take only 2-3 yrs in Canada in earn the same amount. \n\nSo basically you ruin your life if you pay fees in CAD and then return to India immediately - you need to stay at least long enough to recover your fees.\n\nAdditionally, Canadian university degrees are not valued in the Indian job market, just the work experience. \nSo best not to pay to study in foreign university if they can’t guarantee 2-3 yrs of work. After that you can always return, it’s actually better.

I’m in Canada for past 2 years. Despite its negatives what I appreciate the most is work life balance and women’s safety. Life is difficult for international students but for those who come here with PR or jobs it’s a little better for them. Anti India sentiments are mostly among Khalistanis. There is absolute logic for non Khalistani Canadians to not like Indians- the quality of people who have been coming here are not exactly the ‘brains’ and crème de la crème of India. They lack basic etiquette and civic sense and have been caught shoplifting, evading fares on public transit. We have no one to blame other than ourselves for this. Otherwise Canadians are very polite and friendly to immigrants. I’ve never had strangers holding doors to public places open for me back in India which I have experienced here.

migrant moving here presume no degree, start from scratch take 4 years minimum to get a degree and have to work 2 jobs while at it just to barely scrape by. once u graduate, u be lucky to even land a government jobs that pay 50000-60000 a year. mean while a house cost 1.5 million on average and a 1 bed condo starts at 600000 to 700000. by the time u save enough down payment, u will be in ur 30s, and by the time u finished with the mortgage u r well into ur 50s or 60s. while everything is expansive as shit here, migrant can actually have a much more easier life and cheaper path way to a home. specially those coming from india or south east asia, why bother lol.

I don't find ample attempts by the German government to fill the shortage! India itself has the capacity to fill up the void. But, Germany does not allow freshers or people with 2-3 years experience. Then how is it going to work? I am a Data Scientist, I have passport, I want to learn German language to go there but I do not have that much experience. I do not see the German government bring any opportunity for proactive people like me to go & work there & integrate with the society. Rather, they welcome illegal immigrants !

Ideally different people from different states in India have different experiences in Canada. Plus previous qualifications, some students here do not even get up and go to college or university to attend lectures and we blame Canada for not giving them jobs. Blame Indian movies that show 2 extremely opposite sides of lifestyles of immigrants in Canada. Either as high profile business people as if they own the country or as poor labourers with 2 or more sharing a common room in a basement. Improve the perspective of people by improving the quality of movies based on immigration to western countries. You can find students who got job, car and house in Canada in 5 years and you can also see students who unfortunately couldn’t do so much. We cannot generalize things.

I'm an immigrant to Canada. I've been here for 35 years (came here when I was 6). The current immigration/migration/ayslum seeker rates have gone completely insane. It isn't racist to think it's gone overboard. I went to very very multicultural schools. I grew up in Toronto and have lived downtown for 20 years now. I love our multiculturalism but there are limits to immigration if there simply isn't an infrastructure to support countless hundreds of thousands of people trying to move into the city each year. It's not sustainable at all. The roads aren't getting bigger, the housing zoning isn't getting easier, new hospitals aren't being built. You cannot try and cram 4 million people in a city built for like 2 million people. People moving to Canada simply do not realize just how absurdly expensive this place has become. What's the better alternative being poor in India or being poor in Canada? Because unless you are making 100k a year you are going to basically be poor in Toronto.\n\nThe big big difference as someone who has lived downtown Toronto for 20 years is now the homeless are very multicultural. 10 years ago it wasn't like that as much. Now people from every race and every background are at risk of homelessness. It's a rate race, it's a very competitive city for housing and jobs and as soon as you aren't in making $$$$$ you will fall behind.
