How do I become a Canadian citizen? Seriously I’m going to bring it up with our family

Hi Canada; Today I’m Embarrassed to say; I’m an American Citizen. I for One, Do Not Agree with trump. And I know there are many that feel the Same. trump is Like a Very Bad Virus; We Are All going to get Very Sick from it. But We Will Get Over this Virus. And We Will Get Better. ; Again!

As a Marine Corps Veteran, a die hard patriot to the USA, and as a Trump Supporter; I do not support this. We shouldn't Impose tariffs on one of our closest allies. It should also be stated I'm not a fan of Trudeau at all, but I commend him for helping out with the fentanyl situation. Also I don't like how Trump is Siding with Russia. However I do understand his stance on not wanting to continue to send Money to Ukraine to keep the war going on longer, As we have sent them Billions of Dollars in the last three years. However as a US citizen I also have to state the the US has a history of supporting countries that were invaded in the past, which we have done up to this point in Ukraine. Correct me if I'm Wrong, but when have we just stopped supporting the invaded country and sided with the Invading country?

I just became a naturalized American citizen three weeks ago and frankly I wish I didn't. I'm embarrassed by the behavior of the Trump administration and not proud of being part of this America at all.

I am an American citizen. I did not vote for Trump. I would never vote for somebody like Trump and I’m sorry for what he’s doing to Canada but you do what you have to do we’ll survive, but somebody has to put Trump in his place.

I am Canadian and I'm so sick of the government here allowing criminals to run the show and well the citizens are treated as second class. We need an election yesterday! I want the border closed tight.

Please stay away from Canada I moved here and I regret it every day. I'm a citizen through my parents and getting my certificate took YEARS which stopped me from being able to go to school or work which means years of my adult life wasted that could have been put to much better use for something that wasn't even my fault. I also lost good opportunities too because of it!!!! Not happy especially since I genuinely needed the money. I won't forgive Canada for that. Also everything here is really expensive and the selection is just not very good. Also work opportunities are not as good as in the US. Anyways I finally got my certificate and got my life started up again just over 2 years ago, but I still often think of returning to the US after just being here for 4.5 years. I now warn some of my US friends not to go to Canada just for the hype if they mention it. I also know of a friend who moved here and left after 1 year, they came to hate it here.

What about my US social security? Could I continue to receive checks? I’m a senior citizen and retired.

I'm all for legal immigration but I don't think the US can handle any more people at the moment. I don't know about anyone else, but it's been brutal for me personally to find a job for a couple of months just to get by until my other job is good to go for the season. I've never had to claim unemployment (I always found another job within a week or two), and I've been suffering for the past 6 months. I'm more than qualified for some of the applications I have filled out, but yet I feel like just because I'm a white woman, I get skipped over. I've applied to around 50-70 jobs and only had 2 interviews. Thankfully, I still live at home, but if i didn't, I'd be wayyy more screwed. I believe America needs to take care of it's legal citizens first, then we can worry about others.

CNN, how about reporting on the $20 million given to Iraq to promote LGBTQ agenda through a Sesame Street play? Many countries has the same thing, I’m from Malaysia, Malaysia also deport illegal immigrants, \n\nIf illegal foreigners are not deported, then only the citizens are able to get jobs and proper salaries, rather than foreigners taking jobs bringing down wages and the citizens are affected, it’s happening in Malaysia, \n\nNothing wrong USA is deporting illegal foreigners.

Don't forget that this is a divided country between Republicans and Democrats. Citizens with foreign heritage voted for Trump like in Florida with the Cuban community. By pushing too far and alienating this swing block, it might weigh on the next elections. I'm a Trump supporter.

As an American citizen that has lost job opportunities because these immigrants are here ILLEGALLY -- I'm ok with this. People are perfectly able to self deport and file the proper applications to come here legally. If not, they will never be allowed back if ICE gets them first, then they will be on the federal criminal list for sneaking in without authorization.

You absolutely should give a damn about how it is spent.\n\n7. We are not the World Bank. If other countries need help they should raise their own finances. There is way more oil in the ground than lithium, and guess where most of that is? China. Want food prices to come down? Then energy costs have to come down. Because what nobody tell you, American citizens were evicted from their homes, evicted, no warning, no severance package, nothing. Why. Because we have to house these people. Now you tell me. Can you blame them. The previous administration offered a premium benefits package to any and everyone who wanted it. It was a literal freeforall. I’m sorry that your country isn’t safe or has a lot of problems, but people in the US can’t afford groceries either and the gov doesn’t help the homeless, disabled or elderly enough as it is. No one should be entering the country until every single homeless citizen has been given whatever appropriate help they need and a place to live. Until our own poor citizens have been given sufficient amounts for food. Some elderly US people get $23 in SNAP monthly and are expected to eat and survive on that, while illegals are handed cards with $800 on them to eat with. How is that ever ok? \nSome of us are existing on like $600 per month, we have veterans living on the streets. These things must change before we can help anyone else. I'm a US dual citizen. I live abroad, in Asia, so I'm not affected but this is just so dismaying. There is utterly no reason for starting this chaos. The American people voted for Trump (who knows why) and thus chaos and suffering is what people get.

My wife came to America from Russia over 20 years ago.. It took her 3 1/2 years to get approval to come to America legally… she’s now an American citizen.. it’s people like her that are livid over this mess.
