I’m an Indian passport holder living abroad due to personal reasons. I’m eligible for the citizenship of a country that most people would dream to get but I do not like to apply for the same because then I would have to renounce my Indian citizenship (India does not allow dual citizenship). Indians themselves are responsible for visa rejections because most of our people (not all) go under the disguise of tourists with the intention to settle in that country. What kind of treatment would you expect then? I came legally and despite never compromising with my cultural values, I have always felt welcomed in the country that I live in. It’s about how you present yourself in the country that you live in. People are good everywhere in this world.

Visa rejection rate has always been high, the interview process is highly arbitrary. There is no logic to the rejection, it's dependent on on perception of the person interviewing and therefore can be highly biased. It's not right to assume and generalize that Indians are a nation of people where most have bad behaviour - this thought process is itself wrong. As an individual do any of us think that we travel just to indulge in reckless behavior? That is never a first thought - let's not generalize and have a better opinion of fellow citizens. We will be respected by outsiders if we first have respect and a positive opinion as regards each other.

We Pakistani and Indians fight always, but when you come to these western counties they treat you like this. They just see our skin and that is it. Don’t know when we will learn.

Remember when Modi, Gondi media and his Bhakts were talking about how India’s image is so good outside ? “Modi me nam kar dia India ka” as an Indian American it always made me chuckle. ☠️

As an Indian national residing outside India I'm saying that most of the time it's always the Indians turning out be the most worst or annoying tourists in a country due to the lack of civic sense, respect to public property and them being unaware or unwanting to follow rules of the countries... alongside their use of fake or unofficial documents used for obtaining the visa

There’s more pride and nationalism projected in this video than real facts. Why do Indians need visas? It’s very simple: Most Indians are more likely to figure out a way to stay abroad once they touchdown abroad. \n\nAmericans, Canadians, Europeans, etc, don’t need visas wherever they go because most of them always return to their countries eventually no matter where they visit and how long they’re away. \n\nCitizens who don’t need visas wherever they go hardly ever leave their own countries for another. It’s really very simple. Just look at Singapore, Switzerland, etc. How often do you see their citizens leave such countries for another? Almost never. That’s why.\n\nIt sounds like she’s trying to make an argument that this rule shouldn’t apply to Indians because India’s economy is powerful. You need to convince this fact to the Indians who are leaving India, because if you can’t even sell this point to those Indians leaving India, then you don’t even have a case.

I’m not Indian National however I feel proud that this nation has build ‘herself’ as the 5th largest global economy and if some of the following ways are adapted by Indian Gov, the Indian passport will be saluted.\n1) Make your currency strong as in Raja Ranjeet Singh’s time 1 Indian puree was ten (£10) British Pounds, today it’s 100 Rupee to £1.\n2) Need to hold educational tests for everyone going abroad with a minimum level of English language.\n3) Emphasis on etiquettes and local Knowledge of the country where the traveller wants to visit.\n4) Stop all of illegal immigration via people smuggling agents as this gives a bad name to the country.\n5) Set a minimum benchmark amount of funds required before applying for an overseas visa.\n6) Make it mandatory for all travellers to have a full fare return ticket (12 months validity) on them at all times to show strong ties to return back home after trip.\n7) Create strong religious tolerance and harmony within the country so the world can see no religious discrimination being reported on international media worldwide.\n8) The Indian embassies all around the world should be aware and weary of each Indian national traveling abroad in real time so they f any help is require they can assist 24/7 without failure.\nThese are some of my points and opinions for a better India.\nI hope the people who read above will not be offended by any of my opinions as this is not my intention and I am well wisher and want to see this nation thrive, always.\nGood luck and all the best…

There is no agenda, let me explain why.\nThe rejection rate is a better measure than rejection numbers or visa fees. And I'm pretty sure that India has a lower rejection rate compared to many other countries. It is the sheer volume of applications that contribute to this. Even 1% rejection on 100k Indian visas is a 1000 rejected visas. While a less populous country may have 10% rejection out of 1000 visas which is 100 rejections. So, in % terms, India fare well despite having higher rejections.\nFiring shots at Kosovo, Cuba and B Faso is a cheap shot and unnecessary to push the point of passport rank. All countries have a right to determine who they allow into their country with lower restrictions. And they are under no obligation to open the gates to anyone. It is also common knowledge that the newer cohorts of Indian immigrants to the West are a bad representation of Indian society (best example - Canada). Hence the rising anti Indian Immigration stance. Immigration is a privilege and not a right. I hope that the Indian community understands that the visa rejections are a lesson and not an insult, and that they learn from this and become better ambassadors when they go overseas.

This woman is complete liar and always busy trying to glorify India and is never ready to show the other side of the story. For instance how many Indians have overstayed their visa in US & in Schengen area. Also how we make fraudulent documents for visa application or even for study or work abroad things. First of all this reporter is biased and always tries to hide the skeletons in the closet. I will tell you which is real elephant in the room. You know why countries like Cuba and their passports are more powerful than Indian passports? Because after the visit Cubans return back to their country whereas Indians will stay back in the host nation by any means. In most of the Schengen country we are called a ‘third world’ at immigration and always looked with a doubt. You dont have to travel these countries to get beyond your personal experience but just have a look at the queue at the US embassy in Delhi, and the way one is treated, you would have had your data. \n\nAnd now, in this video you say that a similar Immigration officer is denying visa to Indians. \n\nWhat changed in 8months?

India is the master of beaucratic maze. Try applying for a ration card in india?.\nThen look at the way we indians behave when we go abroad. Bad manners, littering, no courtesy or recognition of local norms of behaviour and always some dodgy money saving gimic.\nAs for being the 5th largest economy, this is because globally we have the largest population, the GDP is still that of a poor, developing country.

Behavior, culture and hygiene, I have some indian people working with me as software engineers in Germany, idk why they smell so bad, in a meeting i always sit far away from them, dont get wrong but teach your people to behave and be hygienic

Aren't we Vishwaguru!? Then why are the Indian Passports always looked at with skepticism by the immigration abroad. Even at the Bangkok airport they look at us suspiciously. Only at Kuala Lumpur I thought they appeared a bit welcoming. Reasons, already given in the above comments. We have to look inwards. Looking at everything with the lens of hollow nationalism won't help us. Being 5th largest economy is due to the size of our population. Please club the size of economy with our per capita income...and you get the real picture.

Well, Indians have a talent for uncultured public behaviour. Till people learn to be civic, India will never move forward & will always remain as a most hated country where even racism against Indians has become a norm for majority of countries.

Biggest obstacle for Indians is lack of respect for foreign land laws. For last 6 decades one can easily witness how careless and carefree Indians live in their own country. Small things from traffic rule followings, bribery, cheating anyone and everyone who is not alert or crook. Their ill actions from very young age onwards speak much louder than their worthless words. Here in the US, I’m always annoyed by nonstop scam calls with an Indian accent to the point I repeatedly change my numbers before they start bombarding me again with that accent for fake marketing ?

Palki you are not looking at the really core issue instead you are blaming other countries or governments. Don't be biased because of Indians. Look at why they are being rejected. Lot of Indians do not leave even the visa expires and illegal entry. Every country has a right to protect their country and people from outsiders.\n\nMost of the time Palki views are very biased. Faced same issue. Got rejected then got approved. Yes many Indians do cause a ruckus and follow questionable methods to enter and stay. So people like us always loose visa fees

I live in Canada. A citizen now, love this country but India is and will always be a home. Canada is facing hard times currently, which is being faced by every country now and then but even the cause root of all these problems Canada is facing right now is coming from somehow from India. The most disruptive and disturbing people are here from India only with no civic sense. They come here and do not value the Canadian culture at all. They do all sort of illegal activities and try to do jugaad in everything, from which we escaped from India. Even on political grounds, the man who somehow messed up everything was under the influence and pressure of the man having Indian roots. I love India without a doubt but we can’t deny the real facts why Indians are being hated everywhere. People in my community here ( whites, First Nations, old Indians) love me and my family because they know how we respect the culture and values and laws of Canada. But there, where people don’t know us personally, we get judgemental eyes because of our colour and we know why, it’s not all of us, but still majority of us have destroyed the image of India and yes Indians deserve to be banned now. We need skills and knowledge and we should class apart from the stupid ones.

Indian politicians irrespective of their party's always get their visas. Never heard any politician's visa being rejected. So is the case with senior burocrates and jurnos. If any govt wants to fix it can be done in 15 to 30 days.

Indians need to stop illegal migration. Passport mobility was one of the reasons my parents made their choices in the 1970s and 80s. I made choices in the 2000s that increased my options. My kids and I have three passports plus an overseas Indian citizenship. It would be great to see the Indian passport gain mobility — I have always been surprised by its low rankings over the years.

I don't care what anyone says, but Indian people, particularly (Punjabs) don't like to mixed with other cultures at all. They don't integrate with the Canadian lifestyle. They don't worked very hard, they are rude, they have no respect for other nationalities, racist as fuck, and the list goes on. Grass always seems greener on the other side but when you live in foreign countries for Indians you always have pros and cons to face. I live in USA and I love it here but when I visit India people always think that WE have it better but if I had money I would love to retire in India.

IT IS FUUNY THAT MOST OF THE INDIAN STUDENTS WORKS AT TIM HORTON AND CAN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND ENGLISH AND ALWAYS MAKE THE ORDERS WRONG. THEY NEED TO GO TO ENGLISH CLASS BEFORE EVEN WORK AT FAST FOOD PLACES.

They needed fair rules for international students however why do I always see the majority of students as Indians? Something's wrong here

I am japanese canadian , I understand the feeling of Indians for being discriminated against but there is nothing that can be done, this is a free country, please stay safe and don't be weak always.
