Understand that Education system has become a business these days. Do you think that Indian students come to Canada by spending 10 times more for education, because they learn some great techniques or lessons? It is only with the hope that after the education they can get a high paying job in Canada. Indian education system is far better than Canada's. In fact Canadian universities badly need these students, else they may not be able to pay salaries to their professors or universities will shut down. So after these students came here by taking high loans, now you change the rule/law is giving hard time to these students. You guys attract these students by showing them hope. This world is so closely connected and it can not be operated by rules. You need to understand the reality and work with empathy.

It isnt about immigration \nIts about proper and skills immigration which should attract and invite real“foreign talent” that is needed and can contribute instead of leaching.

Why attracting that amount of worker into Canada while there’s no measures to attract investors immigrants! Where is the money to support all the food, housing, and medical care ? Our infrastructure is not prepared for the expanded population. We have to wait 4 hours in the emergency room but now we have to wait 8 hours! What will happen when all families of these labour that will be coming in the near future? Can the emergency room able to work still?

The amount of temporary workers being accepted into the market in last few years is the largest of all years. Large amount of India workers has flooded into to labor market already. On the contrary, the immigration programs plays no efforts to attract investors. The economy phenomenon of Canada now is there are a huge amount of families waiting for jobs, but there’s not enough businesses to support.

Unfortunately Germany is not a very attractive place for immigrants for the reasons the guy mentioned. The bureaucracy is incredibly frustrating and it's not only for immigrants. I got offered a job by a very well known multi international company here and they expected me to do the visa application by myself, because they haven't dealt with it before and evidently not enough information was readily available for them to take on the process. Those who are planning to come to Germany I would say spend a lot of time familiarizing yourself with how taxes will impact your salary. Insist on getting a dummy payslip with estimates of what your take home will be (because in Germany there are variables that could make an accurate estimate hard), research the average median expenses in the city or town you are moving to and be preperared to be the person who initiate contact with others. Learn the language which will make it easier to make friends (this will not happen over night as Germans by nature are not the warmest people), but in time yes. Find out whether your qualifications are comparable to those in Germany. You will be so surprise how many people don't do this check and waste their time doing courses that will not benefit them. I know it's incredibly hard to find out about this, like with everything else in this country, finding information on things isn't easy. You will need to speak to 4/5 different people, but it's worth it in the long run and saves you a lot of time.

Germany is not attractive to foreigners cause the income is too low, quality of life is nowhere near to those in USA which is why people go U.S

I was on a family trip to Niagara Falls with my family and I was surprised to see how many indians where there. And what surprised me the most where the indians sitting in a circle on Clifton Hill right next to the sky wheel passing joints and getting high in public without security saying anything. Im so sad my children had to witness that... So my kids remember some of the attractions and the smell of weed that was everywhere...

In-hand earnings for skilled expats viz. students, temporary workers and working holiday visa holders is lower in Canada compared to the US …the only attraction factor/appealing end-result for expats including potential PR applicants is the probability of a PR visa and the cost/effort needed to obtain PR. Unless there is potential for a PR visa, no international students will bother to enrol at Canadian universities. Simple!

Why are the muslim migrants not going to arab nations? Why are they headed to non muslim countries? What makes these non muslim countries attractive for them?

The culture of harassment is the biggest problem Germany has to attract skilled labor

so it means that we need more charismatic entrepreneurs to make more money and increase the number of competitors. I am not from Canada however I still feel like canada is a new country and it will grow for sure. It's much younger then US and we are experiencing stress and difficulties at the moment but we will rise. I live in Italy and I do not see any opportunities like in here. For sure US is more attractive but I hope Canada will change in the next 10 years. During recessions you can make more money than before. Can I have your opinion as well? I would like to talk to someone about it.

I think developing new cities would solve this issue. An attractive place where the weather is not so harsh. The government could negotiate deals with companies to open new establishments there. \nThere're so many examples around the world of such cities.

Conclusion: It is not attractive at all. Besides not being welcomed, foreigners face bureaucracy and discrimination.

From what I've seen here Canada is attracting a better-educated class of immigrant than Europe, maybe because the cash investment required to get into Canada is higher than that required for Europe.

They need skilled immigration and they take unskilled immigration, which instead of adding to the budget will draw from it. Where is the sense and logic in that? For many years, Germany drained Poland and other post-communist countries of skilled workers, then the difference in the standard of living between the West and the East of Europe was huge, today it has decreased to the point that people prefer to live with dignity among their own people. Now Poland has become a country accepting immigrants from the East, the language is similar so it is easy to learn, the culture is similar, the standard of living is good and the streets are safe. Germany is no longer as attractive to skilled workers as it used to be, the cost of living is high and you can get stabbed in the liver on your way to work.

From Ontario. I live in the GTA, so that exactly in Toronto, but nearby a lot of tourist attractions and somewhat near the boarder. It actually isn't that cold, but wheatear can change pretty drastically. One day its burning hot outside, the next its windy as hell.

I really don't understand how do they expect us to gain C1-C2 level of proficiency within a very limited amount of time. They wish to attract workers, but aren't even considerate if you are making efforts in learning the language. It's really a lost cause. It's highly taxing on a person to upskill, study, try to survive and be fluent in a foreign language at the same time. There is racism, especially if you are a person of colour, and you will always be looked down upon to the point of being shunned away, refusing to allow you to get accustomed to the society. Try hard to make it in your own country or search for better prospects.

Great video! I think whether Germany is attractive to someone largely depends on where they are coming from. I know many American expats like me (especially teachers) find Germany very attractive because of the contrast with how chaotic and dangerous the schools have become in the USA.

I don't live in Canada and I do not intend to live in Canada because Canada has nothing to offer. Indians are moving out of Canada and Indian students no longer find Canada as an attractive destination. Canada is boring.

On the one hand GER says it need skilled labour, but on the other hand they create a very unattractive environemt for such people. Thenin total disregard for their actual needs, they do everything to attract unskilled people from around the world as asylum seekers, which creates an even greater burden on bureacracy (which in itself is a burden, that GER created for itself) and the welfare system. Additionally, they miss their mark for new homes built by ~ 50%. \n\nAll that, in combination with increasing crime rates creates a growing resentment against immigration by the german people, which then deters the skilled people, which we actually need from coming to GER.\n\nGER could be great, if it would let itself do, what it does best. Be organized, deliver quality and be crafty. However, GER has currently an ideological issue, which prevents it from pursuing a rational strategy. Unfortunately, our current path just leads in the opposite direction, where we should actually head.

I went to Germany for my Masters at one of their top universities, back then (10 years ago) taken in by their great public image and a personal interest in Germany history and culture. Looking back now having also experienced living in the UK, HK and Sweden thereafter, I can understand why Germany has trouble attracting the top talents, or any ambitious individuals seeking to develop their career overseas.\n\nIt doesn't provide the money.\nIt doesn't provide a dynamic enough market and opportunities.\nIt doesn't provide the same type of diversity and excitement in truly world-class cities like London, HK etc. Don't get me started on food.\nEverything is functional but that seems to be the sole standard to aspire to. \nGermans are not the people whom you can bond easily. Sincere and friendly many are, but the amount of effort needed to even crack beyond that shell is ridiculous. In this respect I think most north europeans are quite cold and distant. But working with Germans you need to also handle their 'honesty', intensity and directness on top of that. The lack of nuance rubs a lot of people in the wrong way. \n\nThe Germans whom I met and spent their formative years overseas are fantastic. Invariably none of them would have thought of moving back.

I visited Germany and I found already unpleasant people except the hotel managers…. And to be honest I did not find their cities attractive at all

English is lingua franca. All cross border businesses are conducted in English. One recommendation for Germany is to make English as their official language next to German, this step will attract a lot of skilled workers.

Certain things in germany makes it too attractive for some people. For me it's Ausbildung as I was never good at theoretical education but was an intelligent student at the same time. I can be better at physics when compared to a student with higher grades. In my country even top students can't secure their career so how can I. So this makes germany attractive for me but again learning german language is challenging for me.

A million videos will not touch the truth. Germany is attractive for skilled immigrants as long as it it remains culturally german. But when are afraid to walk the street in the evening, they will go where it is safe for them to walk in the evening.

I am from a smaller place in BC, but always loved Vancouver. Great place to walk, with fantastic attractions, restaurants, nightlife, and so much scenic beauty. You would see the tourists from around the world loving it and I always felt pride that this was our city. \nBut, Vancouver has degraded terribly. It's not what it used to be and the downtown is getting scary.

I have been living in Germany for 7 years now. I am only here because of my husband as he is doctor and he is a german citizen. However, living here has been horrible most of the time. Germans are not the most welcoming nor friendliest. On top that Germans complain why AÜSLANDER are not integrating the language. 1st it is hard and 2nd i think the english which be adopted into schools. Hopefully maybe it will attract more Skilled immigrants. Who has the time to speak a new language if you are looking for a job.

First of all, Canadians are paying a high price because of this government that has been ruining the country for the past 10 years. Besides that, many serious people have given everything in their lives to legalize their status in Canada, through studies and work over the past few years, and now they are having to experience total scarcity in this cold country, without being able to return to their home countries under reasonable conditions since they have already left everything behind. And the Canadian propaganda continues to be strong, attracting immigrants from various continents. ??‍♂️

Then Canada should’ve thought this through and should’ve attracted the right kind of immigration talent like doctors and economists. It would’ve been a win-win situation for the Canadian people and the immigrants.

My move would be to the EU. They understand what a social contract is which is mostly lost in N America, esp the US. Spain would be the most likely for me with its climate, low cost of living, relaxed lifestyle, very low crime rate, rich history, great food, fabulous beaches, attractive, clean cities, a thriving movie industry, regional diversity.....the list goes on and on.

I left Canada in 2000 for an attractive job opportunity in Belgium. I had been workng in Canada for 20 yrs at that time and all of my education was completed in Canada. I did not leave Canada due to any major dissatisfaction with the country, but rather a professional opporunity that arose and the chance to experience Europe as a resident rather than a tourist. I never expected to stay in Europe long term, but one job led to another and I stayed on in Belgium until 2017 when I moved to Spain for my (semi-)retirement. Although I rented out the condo I owned in Canada from 2000-2022, after 5 years living in Spain, I decided I am not moving back to live in Canada and sold it. I have no regrets having left Canada when I did, nor do I regret my move from Belgium to Spain. I still visit Canada about once a year to visit family and friends, but a move back to my homeland is not something I would now seriously consider. \n\nGood luck with your move and settlement in your new home, wherever that is!

It's all fine and well that you want to leave Canada but where will you go that's any better? After all it is your choice. The problems we see happening around the world are a global problem. There are at least 2 major wars going on. Inflation is rampant in most countries in the world and we ARE heading for a global economic depression that will dwarf anything that we've seen in the 1930's. Speaking for myself my roots are here in Canada which is not the Canada I grew up in anymore. Sadly. Used to be a really great place to live until Trudeau and his band of thieves ruined it. I may as well make my last stand here. If I was going to move where would I go. The EU? Absolutely not! They're tanking. America? No effing way! The American empire is collapsing. Along with the FED note. South America? Don't think so. Most S. American countries are iffy at best. Australia? No. They're nuts. New Zealand? No. They're struggling badly and people are leaving there in droves. Africa? No way in hell. So that doesn't leave very much. Antarctica? Little on the cold side. Few amenities. ;) May as well stay where I am and take my chances. Better the devil I know than the one I don't. If you're serious about moving out of Canada be sure to do your due diligence and research about your target country. Grass always looks greener on the other side but many times isn't once you get there. One place that I AM attracted to is the Azores. Beautiful place. Friendly people. Good climate. One drawback is that I don't speak Portuguese. And I would have to be independently wealthy. After a certain amount of time out of the country I would lose my Canadian pension. It's said that where we are is where we're supposed to be. I may as well take my chances, make the best of a crappy situation and stay here. There really is no better or worse place than Canada. The majority of the countries in the world are struggling with their own problems. I'm not willing to jump from the frying pan into the fire. One of the biggest reasons I want to stay in Canada is that if it does come to a nuclear shooting war it would be very unlikely that Canada would be attacked. So here I'll stay. For better or worse. The LIberals won't be in power forever and if people have the smallest amount of sense, so few will vote for them in the next election that the Liberals will lose party status. I fervently hope that happens. ;)

The problems are known very well but nothing is done from the government side to attract skilled workers. No tax allowances or free languages classes. Sometimes skilled workers have to attend mandatory language classes paying fees(despite they pay taxes) and they let asylum seekers learn for free.

Canada and the most of the western world are pushing socialism very hard not realizing that capitalism is what made those countries great and attractive to immigrants. Now even immigrants are leaving. Leftist ideology does not work once again.

It's sad to see you being pushed out of Canada. Unfortunately this is happening to a lot of people but what we're witnessing, especially over this last 10 odd years is the symptom of the underlying problem we have. It's happening in Europe, the UK and the US as well. We are losing our young people which IS the future of this country but unfortunately when they see no future here it's normal to start looking elsewhere. Wherever you have decided to move to I hope it works out beautifully for you. While you are away, maybe, just maybe we can make Canada an attractive place to lure you home again. Germany created their own problem in their flawed, points-based model of their government pension system. It is like we are paying backwards, where our money earned right now is taken away from us to pay for the pensions of retired people who earned those rights to a government pension years or decades ago during their working lives. We are then given points, with the hope that the next generations one day pay for our own pensions. See the problem?\n\nInstead, people’s hard earned monthly payments towards pension could have instead have been invested for them into actively-managed portfolios of bonds, equities and commodities. Thereby, each and every person currently on pension could have enjoyed the benefits of decades of compounding growth!\n\nNow we are here, as the video says, 2 workers are needed to cover the pension of 1 retired person. This is absolutely absurd and they will never be able to attract 400,000 new skilled workers every year with the current issues highlighted in this video.\n\nMy best advice - when you are working in Germany, seriously think about it to save and invest a portion of your net income and prepare yourself for a future where you cannot solely rely on your German pension!

Classic. Just as I expected: not a SINGLE word about the fact that Germans themselves are leaving the country in droves. Why? Precisely because of the reasons mentioned at the end of the report, plus the number of people leaving for greener pastures more than doubled after 2015. Look up the BKA statistics if it hasn't dawned on you yet. Poland and Czechia are MUCH safer now than Germany. \n\nThe other thing that should have been mentioned are those tens of thousands of young Germans who don't aspire to learn a trade or get higher education. They aspire to nothing. I believe it's some 60K people yearly. That's a lot.\n\nAnd finally, despite all that massive influx of people since 2015, how come there is still a lack of workers? I'm genuinely interested in the employment rate among ppl who arrived in the 2015 wave and onwards. Even though German politicians of the currently ruling parties would never admit that the generous social benefits are a great pull factor for immigration, it's not hard to conceive, this is everday reality. \n\nIn conclusion, one could say that Germany is deterring the capable and attracting the incapable. attractive? are you serious? i am living in Germany since 2019, skilled worker, discrimination is rising and the power of AfD as well. authorities are processing citizenship applications for years, not joking: in Leipzig 4 years and it is even written on the website!

If you come to Canada adapt and respect. That's why this country was so attractive
