Well done Prime Minister Trudeau. I'm proud of you. I just want to say that this is not new. Justin Trudeau has always stood up to Trump. It's heartwarming to see so many other countries following suit.

Great, unambiguous words by the Canadian president! But one of his remarks stood out: he said that the tyrants want to divide us. He is correct, of course. But the implications are profound! This means that Trudeau himself is measuring his words and deliberately using diplomatic language. He even says that Trump is “intelligent”, which only plays into the imbecile’s unfortunate NPD psychology! The unwillingness to stand strong against American tyranny is harming democracy worldwide! Force Trump to declare a side! And make him choose Putin or democracy NOW!! If you fail to do that, you are taking the path of accommodation, and if Trump is really a tyrant (which he surely is, because of MANY evidences!!), democratic countries weaken their position by not standing strong NOW. If Europe and Canada and Mexico ban Tesla imports and place 50% tariffs on tens of billions of dollars of American products, what would happen? Are these countries AFRAID of the United States? This is not the time for fear! This is the time for courage! Boycott!!!

I so hope whoever replaces Trudeau will follow his lead in this movement. Trump doesn't want to lead America, he wants to dictate it. And he wants to take over Canada in the process.

I wish Trudeau was our president. I hate what is happening in the U.S. because of Trump and his minions. These tariffs had initially been deferred to April. The reason Trump decided to put them in so abruptly is in retaliation to Trudeau doubling down on support fir Ukraine. This is so annoying. Most Canadians don't want our tax dollars going to Ukraine either.

Trudeau is so right that the US fighting with its allies is exactly what the enemies of the US wants. The Russians are celebrating after Trump's attack on Zelensky and now Canada, Mexico and Europe. Whether he is a paid Russian asset or not, Trump wants to destroy the rules based international order which will leave all of us worse of economically and more vulnerable to our enemies.

I loved the speech of PM Trudeau- but one thing he kept saying is wrong. Our government did not do this - One man did this via executive orders. He does not care who he hurts. He does not care about the American people. Trump only cares about himself and his relationship with Mother Russia and Putin. TRUMP doesn't want peace. He is thriving on the chaos that he and Musk are initiating. Trump needs to be impeached immediately but our Congresmaen and women, who are supposed to represent their populations are too scared to do anything other than what Trump tells them to do. Our Government is supported to have a Check and Balance function, but none of the branches have the guts to stand up to TRump. I really believe that Trump's American first policy is to end up as America ALONE.

Every single country has huge tariffs against our country. All Trump wants is for them to pay us the same we pay them. Why any taxpayer would be upset is against it is beyond me. Course Trudeau just said he was going to sacrifice his citizens in a forever war that is already lost. Thank God Trump will protect our citizens and just wants a even playing field. Canada has gotten away with robbing us long enough.

As an American, I’m embarrassed and ashamed of what has transpired. Trump is a FN joke of a president and EVERYONE KNOWS IT. I’m with you Canada ?? alongside Ukraine ??. Zalinski has just messaged that he wants to sign the mineral deal with president Trump..He regrets how the meeting went at the White House. and he wants peace as soon as possible... I am a French Canadian. I did not hear it From Trudeau in English but I heard it in French, the real reason of the economic war is annexation. Fentanyl, immigration was just a Casus Belli. I'm irritated. Re Trudeau's speech this morning, I want to comment on it. I want to say that I'm not a Trudeau fan, but his response to Trump this morning was excellent and I'm impressed. However... EVERY damn CBC YouTube page has comments turned off. WTF?

Curious, what is a better solution to tariffs already imposed by Canada on the US? It's amazing that Canada's solution is to argue there is no justification...I'd ask Trudeau, what does Trump want? Is is unreasonable or not...if it is unreasonable, tell us why....because one thing about Trump, he is usually pretty darn clear about what he wants.
