The audacity and disrespect, bullying behaviour of Trump saying that Canada should be 51st state of the US. Trump is definitely siding with Putin, and mirroring his behaviour and ideology. It's outrageous! Ppl need to start rallying and protest

Is it possible that this is all about access to critical minerals - which Canada and Ukraine hav in abundance. America has form in creating a pretence to go to war to protect access to cheap oil. But in the past these wars were against arab nations and so the West found it easy to 'other' and accept the need for war. Now America under Trump is hoping to secure critical minerals (modern day oil) - but because they are allies he cant start an outright war. So hes doing it through trade. This is old form for America. When looked through this lense is not so difficult to understand. The big question is will the west allow him to bully western allies - democracies to be bullied into submission?
