The issue with that is that these people are OK with subpar living standards and offer their services for less than minimum wage and this creates a shadow/ cash-based economy where taxes go unreported and quality of life does not improve. This is not good for anyone- not the Canadians and older immigrants who lose jobs to these people and must pay higher taxes to maintain the infrastructure needed for a larger population. Not to mention how these new immigrants are a bit uncultured and almost like the "red-necks" of India- they throw garbage around, do not learn English, never make friendships with other races/ethnicities.

I know what you're thinking 😁 See for the last couple centuries industrialized nations all over the world have been importing people like potatoes. And there is a very good reason for that. See over the last couple hundred years you have made many advances in technology medicine and law enforcement. Your people however aren't having fifteen children anymore and your population is therefore receding. You then have to import people i.e. drain all the brains from around the world. Immigrants are also more eager to come if things back home aren't good especially when the world is bombing your pants off. Also things like rampant corruption that make it extremely difficult to live an honest life. They're also having children upon children because technology doesn't yet exist and so god told them to. 🦫 We are finite beings in an infinite universe. Also, you cannot stop immigration.

I came to Canada legally as refugee in early 90's. At 16, speaking almost no English, I was enrolled in High School and got a job in McDonald's. But even then my clear understanding was that the job was temporary. My managers told me the same thing. I went to university and immediately switched up. It is infuriating to see that fast food jobs are careers for middle aged people, gaming the system and my kids won't have the opportunity to experience the very natural and normal experience of getting into the job market

As an Indian living in India, I’d say it was your country’s government’s problem and mistake, similar to what the UK is doing now. Aside from government or policies, Indians immigrating to Canada is something that dates back to the British era, when Britain sent a group of Indians, specifically Sikhs, for security or labor work in Canada. This started the trend of Sikhs (turban-wearing ones) moving there. In modern times, the West was richer in terms of education and infra compared to Asia, which attracted many normal students and families immigrants also. Canada and America were built by immigrants, but now things are saturated, which I understand, and that’s where the resentment comes from. The majority Sikh state ( punjab) in India is still behind in development and job wise cooperation, and the historical pattern from the British era of moving to Canada for a better life has become a norm for many young people there. The close, collaborative nature of Sikhs—like a cousin in Canada inviting another cousin from India to come over, open a shop, work together, or share housing—is another reason many don’t hesitate to immigrate. These are some of the reasons behind mass immigration from India. Now, with saturation, the resentment toward immigration has grown. India itself faces issues with immigrants who live off our taxes, take rights meant for native children, and abuse policies, laws, or the environment. At least Canada has better-off immigrants—educated and contributing to the economy. While some may depend on taxes, most are hardworking and self-sufficient; otherwise, Canada’s economy would have collapsed by now. In end i can understand the hatred but you guys should stop this yourselves - not hunting them but prevent more.

The problem is there are just to many off them. Then too many have gotten very arrogant saying thing like this our country now. Taking over cities street with loud music for some wedding and to those who also live on the street cannot even park there car or live in there homes due to the loud noise. No permit, just taking over. The other problem the last few years immigrations number have skyrocket and 90% of them our Indians. Iran has only 3% of there water reserve left. India has ruin there country and so has China with pollution and dumping of heavy metel in river and lakes. Meanwhile the Caribbean is expected to be unlivable in 15 and 20 years. The USA we are expected to lose 100 miles of our coastline. That area is where 50% of Americans lives. I agree many things, but not agreeing to “ not paying tax”, “not working hard” & “just cross the border illegally”, most new Brampton residents pay high taxes as most work at jobs and payroll money comes after tax. Maybe minor fraction like (0.01%) might be working in cash not paying tax. It’s just their frustration speaking. Almost all Indian immigrants are not refugee that they come free to Canada and live in hotels for free. Indian immigrants are economic immigrants, who came here legally with investing big money and working in country and giving back. Most people in this video are confusing refugee with Indian immigrants. Indian immigrants don’t get any extra benefits than any other Canadians, even gets less or exploited by locals…

There is a clear lie in that video. Nobody is in Limbo. Mind you there is normal Federal Express entry program still happening. Meaning, that if you get selected through that program, you can immigrate to any province of your choice - including Quebec. You can also still get bonus points for Canadian education (Quebec education does count) and Canadian work experience (if it qualifies). So the only thing that happened was, that one provincial nomination program was ended, that is all that happened. The practical problem is, that provincial nomination does give so many points, that it is a guarantee of normal express entry pull as long as you just meet criteria to enter Express entry. So provincial nominations are suitable for people that might be otherwise struggling with points (older age, less language perfection, les bonus points from education or work experience). For a disclaimer, provincial programs are based on a specific province needs and just because one was opened when you planned to go and study or work in Canada, it does not mean it will be like that forever. If an agent made you such promise, then he was misleading you. Again for those people demonstrating, nothing has changed for them other than one future option was gone. They still have their student or work permit until it expires. They also can apply into Express entry program as normal. On a side note for Canadian trying to cheer about this, be aware, such change can also mean that economy projection for next few years is not the best. so take it a warning sign. Or if we are lucky, it was found that this program was not bringing intended type of skilled worker or was heavily abused.

I was the lawyer invited to this interview, and after reading some comments celebrating the end of the PEQ, I feel the need to clarify a few things. The people affected by this are not “abusing the system.” this was the program for people that came here legally and are working. To qualify for the PEQ, they had to be working full time, they pay taxes, they speak the language. They’re fixing our roads, keeping hospitals running, welding, machining, doing the jobs most of us take for granted every single day. The hard truth is that Canadians have stopped having enough children, and we simply don’t have enough young people with the skills to fill these roles. Yes, we absolutely should invest more in education and trade programs for our youth — my employer clients are begging young people to become mechanics, welders, skilled workers, often in the regions. Most don’t take those jobs, and even when they do, training takes two to three years. Our industries need people now, or parts of the economy will stall, and that affects all of us as Quebecers and Canadians. These workers are not asking for charity. They are already on the front lines keeping key sectors alive. Ending programs like the PEQ doesn’t punish “illegals” or “free riders”; it punishes people who are already integrated, working, and contributing to the society we all share. Also, all they are asking is for the new rules to not be applied to them retroactively, only for those coming new into the country, otherwise it is rug pulling those already here that played by the rules, and when the government does it to us we don't like, on principle of fairness, whatever you think of the numbers, too high too low, doesn't matters, it is the least we can all get behind as humans.

They need to work to get to our country, they need to contribute to society and assimilate with white people here. To answer your question at the end (what is the difference between the temples and the food bank) the canadians left community and god behind for progressivism and a godless life idolizing the individual. Churches do the same thing the temples do, they run food banks and try to foster community. As a Indian I don't even liked this. Each place, city, country has it's own tradition, own people, and stuff and if any religion or group of people are taking over it then that's not a good thing. What applies for Muslim people should apply for all. PS: I'm Hindu!

To be here as a citizen today, I had to pay CAD$35.000 for a two years program in Toronto. But to get the study visa I had to prove a lot of things, including money, proof that I had paid the college (at least 1st year), English, a Bachelor degree (education), a clear criminal history, and what attach me to my country. I had to study hard, and only after graduation I could have 3y work permit. By working in Canada I could get more point to become a permanent resident. After 2y having my PR, I could get the citizenship, but I had to prove I pay taxes, clear criminal history, and other things that show I would be a good citizen. So, I worked (and still work) hard, I am currently in two jobs and at school taking my masters, I respect the laws, I respect the culture (I never tried to impose mine), and I pay over CAD$10.000 in taxes per year on my income. That said, I feel as a slap on my face when fraudulent and dishonest people are able to be here cheating the system in any way. Some people may say I am an immigrant against immigration. NO, I am in favor of people taking the right path to immigrate, and make real contributions for this country, not coming to be scammers and criminals.

Instead of relying on immigration, Canada should focus on innovation — create robots, invest in R&D, and encourage its own population to have more children. Solving the labour shortage domestically is a long-term solution. Bringing in large numbers of people from 3rd world countries won’t fix the real issues — it may even harm the system over time. Speaking as an Indian, I can say that many of our people don’t adapt to the host country’s culture or values; instead, they often bring the same mindset that created problems back home. Look at India — poor infrastructure, declining quality of life, and a government more focused on propaganda than progress. Importing that mentality, even among the so-called “educated,” won’t benefit Canada. Core values and a willingness to evolve matter far more than degrees. Your govt should also stop permit or spending public money on building temples, mosques, or any religious structures. Why do we even need them? Faith is a personal matter — keep your beliefs and celebrations at home. Things starts with these things only.

Conestoga is a sham. The entire region of waterloo has been milking tax dollars to increase things like transit because this greedy "school" totally destroyed it. Canadians who live here can't get room on the bus, or it's just so crowded and smells so horrible they get on and then walk right off again. I've seen people in tears over it. I'm a Brampton resident. My family immigrated in the late 90s. I grew up on YTV, TVO kids, Fox Kids, Treehouse TV. I also still grew up knowing my own native culture and religion. I attend one of these temples of worship. Despite this, I still made friends with different races of people. I think my community needs to branch out a little more and learn about other cultures that live amongst us. Maybe we need to have a little less pride on where we come from? I don't know what the exact answer is. One thing I know is we can definitely get along. Just need the community to adapt more and actually learn Canadian culture. Maybe go see a Blue Jays game at the Skydom? Maybe know who Wayne Gretzky is?? LOL.

The whites people of Canada have decided; 1. Not to bear enough children to expand whites population 2. Embrace LGBTQ ideas which among others things results to depopulation. 3. Due to above two reasons, Canada has to promote immigration in order to avoid depopulation which may harm the economy. 4. People from India who have immigrated here 15-20 years ago are saying the same thing as the rest of Canada. Its too much, and people arent assimilating.

So I watched the video expecting to hear the Indians sounding terrible and entitled, and instead it's obvious they're just like every other group of immigrants who ever came before them, including those from Europe. The guy at 9:35 got lots of negative comments, but it's clear that he's the typical inspirational immigrant story, coming here, studying and working hard, and eventually achieving his degree, which brings him a better life in a prosperous country, the exact same thing Europeans came to Ellis Island for 100 years ago. And they also created Irish, Italian, Greek, etc. enclaves withing major cities. Also they say Brampton only had 18,000 people 50 years ago, and are upset that now it has 750,000, and all the growth has been from Indians. So then what's the problem? They didn't even displace anyone, they just moved to an area that was previously a small town on the outskirts of Toronto, and is now a major suburb. That growth of suburbs has happened over the last 50 years in every city in North America, from both domestic and immigrant people choosing to settle there. Did you expect a town that close to Toronto to experience zero growth over 50 years?!! While every other suburban area on the continent grows? If so, then you clearly aren't the brightest bulb.

As a Brampton raised kid, I lived there from 97' till about 2023, I'm caribbean and we have a large indian/muslim/hindu population too on our island. (Trinidad) and the issue with Brampton is: Indian people will gladly intergrade, but Canadian borns won't welcome it. Walk with me- I'll use food for an example. Every other grocery store is middle eastern/asian/african in Brampton and its becomes harder finding more western style food. I love international food, I cook it often but if you're used to burgers and pizza and only know how to make spaghetti it feels like a 'take over' These people want what they want and even though all these places are free for you to also enjoy they don't like it cause it's too 'foreign' to them. It doesn't mean there isnt still a No Frills or a Walmart or Metro, but because the african and halal store are closer and more frequent it seems like more of a convenience to others and not to you. When people say we're multi-cultural, they mean 'yeah he's brown or black but he keeps it to himself' They aren't going to go to that Sikh temple giving free food, and only go to the church at the beginning even though they're welcome to both. It's the same for Diwali and other things, white people dont care to be interested in those things, and just wonder why they get to have it at all. I do agree with that indian lady at the beginning though, with lax immigration you come in feeling like you don't need to do anything to assimilate. They're doing themselves a disservice by only helping themselves. I hate stereotypes being perpetuated onto people but like that Pakistani guy said too, you live in a bubble and you don't pay attention to that. You can go days without speaking english to someone. You can't immigrate somewhere and shut out everyone already there. I get you may not feel welcome by the white people like the ones in the beginning and so you dont mess with them, and its easy not to. But there needs to be openness with helping everyone benefit from multi-culturalism and not just some of us. There are issues with immigrants not wanting to go outside their bubble and for canadians not to want to either, It'll be hard to (with the current issues we're facing as a country) to actually blend together more.

I don’t really understand why these people are receiving hate if they seem like they help one another and others. Those food banks and kitchens that offer a free meal to anyone is a good thing. I understand that many Canadians want assimilation but you can’t seriously expect people who were raised in another country for decades to automatically become Hockey viewers and poutine fans overnight assimilation takes time. Instead of looking at them with skepticism y’all should talk with one another instead. That old dude towards the end really said it best that we should help one another as humans.
