It's obvious that you have never lived outside of Canada. Canada is probably one of the last countries in the world that accepts people for who they are and has a decent level of respect for belief systems. I get that you want to raise your children in a better environment, but trust me when I tell you this... you are walking into a world of disappointment. Canada itself is about 15 years behind other countries when it comes to this downwards spiral you are speaking of. Sadly, you will find out soon enough that this utopia you want to find, simply doesn't exist and you will discover you have left the variable comforts and safety of Canada behind. I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but am simply sharing what I discovered when I searched for the same things. I think L. Frank Baum said it best.... if I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard. If you are lucky in life you will discover that the world doesn't stop turning for you, and that the world that you dream of for your children must be created from within. That being said, it is good to travel and trying different ways of living is a wonderful education for your children. Great move brother. I have been living in Canada for more than 20 years and I’m in the process of planning to wrap up everything and move. We are a big family alhamdullillah. Have been looking in to many countries but now been few days looking in to Malaysia. March break inshallah planning to go visit and see how it goes. I had 2 men on go to Toronto try and steal my bag ,off duty officer from uk said he saw it I moved so fast he didn’t get my bag and police officer tried to grab him white guy and black guy 29’s working together ,sit in handicap section safer ,I’m born in Toronto ,it’s the worst mess ever ,nothing like home ,Canadians born in Canada are just staying home ,look at union station dec 31 ,we were all scared \nWho are all these. I’m not Muslim, I’m a 72 yr.old white guy ,secular,born in England, came to Canada as a six year old. I agree with all your reasons for wanting to leave. It makes perfect sense. Especially the reasons that relate to your faith, which although I’m secular , I agree with . These include educational indoctrination in the schools regarding LBGTQ etc. ,identity politics, and a lack of political leadership that unapologetically denounces genocide in Palestine. \nRegarding suggestions about where to go we’d need to know what languages you speak etc. Obviously Arabic or Persian would be number one . Without knowing that I wouldn’t know what to suggest. Clearly only other Muslims would be qualified to answer those questions.\nNevertheless,looking forward to see how you make out. \nAll the very best.\nSaying a secular prayer for peace in Palestine as I share videos far and wide from the internet regarding this decades long struggle for justice.

I am from Pakistan and can't ever imagine leaving my country to go live in foreign lands. Alhamdullilah, I feel very safe here. It is a Muslim country, alhamdullilah, although there is a major class of citizen coming up here who'd like it to be more 'open minded' like the West. May Allah protect us from that day. I would suggest that you move to Saudi Arabia, preferably into or around Makkah or Madinah. I believe that these two are the best cities in the world for Muslims. Imagine saying your five daily prayers in Masjid-e-Haraam or Masjid-e-Nabawi! You kids could study there and grow up speaking and understanding Arabic like Arabs. Imagine the understanding and appreciation they'd have of the Quran and Hadith moreover, they'd be able to reap benefits from the work of all major scholars. InshaaAllah. BUT, on the other hand, you guys are Allah's workers there in Canada. You could do dawah, spread Allah's word (you're doing that beautifully already). You'd be doing what the messengers of Allah did. Think of it this way, if you leave, there'll be one less family supporting Palestine and the Islamic way of life in Canada. Maybe, Allah wants someone like you to represent Him there. Allahu Aalam. There's this beautiful piece of Urdu poetry by Syed Sadiq Hussain, it goes something like this ' Tundi-e-baad-e mukhalif se na ghabraa ae uqaab --- Yeh to chalti hai tujhay ooncha uranay ke liye!' translation:- Do not fear the strength of the head-winds (opposing wind) O' eagle -- it but blows only to help you soar higher! All I'm saying is that there's another way of looking at your dilemma. You guys are like a small, bright light in a dark night and can help lost travelers reach safety. Cheesy, I know. As salamu alaikum, may Allah guides you to the best decision and place for your family and use you in the goodness whatever wherever and accept your good deeds ameeen ?\nJust to not be shocked some of your reasonable reasons for looking for more Islamic environment are not available as you wish in lot of Islamic countries.\nOf course there's more daily Islamic things that people in these countries take for granted while Muslims in western countries suffer to get/live and though the gap in cultures is shrinking, which should be a good thing in its principle, but with time of more fetan it sometimes means faster spread of fetan between countries to find some of what your suffering from is there also but maybe alhamdullelah still not in same pace or widness.\nIt hurts do much being in countries whose governments support obviously the wrong side, just keeping mind it's hurting (regardless now of whether hurts more/same/less) when you are in some Islamic countries and not free to express your opinions freely.\nIt's worth mentioning that moving while kids are not yet old enough to get familiar with anti-islamic things around is better in timing.\nOne suggestion that I'm not sure whether is affordable or time wise is good or not or whether you've gone this all the way of trying or not is to continue living in Canada with more surroundings of people of similar core values (by the way not all of whom I mean have to be Muslims, lot of non-Muslims are conservative about education and society pushing their kids to ideas and behaviors against their core values) if you've tried this already and even tried moving within Canada for that purpose and didn't work, then may Allah help you to go for the best.

Hey guys, been thinking about this for myself, born and raised in the US. A young 20 something, who’s been learning about other cultures and Islam. I’m also not pleased with the direction my country is going in and was wondering if there are any places anyone in the comments have any good recommendations? I’ve looked into Oman a bit and I know the Saleh’s have said good things about Malaysia. (I’m also a fun in the sun type ?) Anyways, completely understand the frustration, great video as always.

They show a lot of grocery stores when they talk about monopolies, but it’s in everything. When I was getting my internet set up I found out only one of the two main companies in Canada is provided for my area (they do this on purpose). So I pay over $100 a month just for internet. And literally have no other cheaper option other than living with no internet. (I’m in a small town so there aren’t even any cafes or anything to pop into). And live alone. Another thing, we’ve got a big country, and I live in a rural community, so most of my colleagues drive at least 45 minutes to get to work, one way, because they’d rather live in the city. And this is NB so you can’t take public transportation like trains to get here, you’re driving on the highway to get here. Since the pandemic houses have more than doubled, I did get a raise, but it was I think 4% over the last three years. So cost of living is definitely increasing at a much higher rate. Before the pandemic I could buy a week of groceries for one person for $60, now it’s more than $100 for a week easily, and that’s with looking for bargains and reducing the amount of meat and fresh produce I eat. It can’t keep getting worse, because people already can’t afford it, so something is going to have to change before everything breaks completely.

I was waiting to see if you would mention it and you did! Reason 9, trudeau etc and his tyrannical government during the covid crap. The truckers, back accounts etc, a disgrace. But all good reasons why never to live there. For me also the climate is too cold coming from Australia. I'm looking forward to a hot Christmas boating and going to the beach.

I came to Canada over 20 years ago. My own thoughts are that Vancouver is a place where people tend to immigrate and often stay in their own ethnic groups. Particularly Chinese and HK people. I live in a part of Vancouver that is now almost all Chinese and HK people and they mostly don't speak English, and I don't speak Cantonese or Mandarin except for a few words, so we'll never know anything about each other. So, you write off ever knowing your neighbors'. Also the people born in Canada or who came here as small children and went through school together, particularly high school tend to have friend groups that are exclusive to them and it's hard to get past that you aren't one of the 'original' group members. Also, it's dark and rainy here for a good 5 months of the year and there is absolutely nothing going on outside that you can just casually go and do. There's skiing and things, but if you are from a country that has busy street life and street food and night markets, here is the opposite.. go outside in December in the dark and rain and see almost nobody and if you do they probably will just look at the floor. My friends are mostly other immigrants, and that's cool! But for me Canada has been a success financially and a bust socially. I'm fortunate that I bought my house 15 years ago, but if I had to pay the ridiculous rent that people have to pay, on top of the boring social life here I'd be gone from here !

On my way to work this week, I was stopped at least 7 times by new immigrants \nwith a suitcase on wheels looking for a foodbank but could not speak a lick of \nEnglish. (They were lucky I could understand bits of their Mexican / Spanish)\n\nThey aren't my problem. They are Trudeau's problem. I never invited them here.\nI'm just glad I opened up my own business years ago and became successful \nbecause Trudeau's Canada has all the Govt jobs reserved for indigenous, black,\nlgbtq and other exclusive liberal groups. \n\nIf he can't even give jobs to those 'special groups' which I'm not a part of, then \nthey aren't my problem. I had to go get mine so go get yours.

Very fair and balanced commentary on Canada in 2023. Like you, I've lived in a few countries, and while life is comfortable for me here (only because I own my home from years ago before prices started going insane), I'm looking at exiting due to some of the factors you mentioned.

I'm not Indian, I'm indigenous from Canada and I grew up in Vancouver, where the population is mostly from Asia. Being surrounded by people of asian descent is very normal for me. I don't expect anyone to assimilate and lose their culture to exist here. I knew we had a large population of Sikhs here but I didn't think it was nearly as many as in India... and now I find out there are more sikhs here than in India. Amazing. I also didn't know we had so many Sikhs in parliament, let alone Indians. My school is mostly Indian and everyone I talk to has come from Punjab. Everyone seems to love it here, and the school is in the middle of little Punjab so I've been told by my classmates it is the perfect place for the students who are homesick because they are surrounded by their community. I rarely hear English when I walk down the halls, there is even a course to learn to speak Punjabi, which I want to take so I can talk to the students who don't speak English as well. We have many large gurdwaras, and one near me I've eaten langar almost everyday for the past 10 years. Most people here know Sikhs to be very generous and humble. It was a shock to me when I heard the president of Guru Nanak Gurdwara was shot, because I believed Sikhs to be very kind and peaceful, and the gurdwara has a very good reputation as they take lots of food into Vancouver and feed the homeless. They even opened a kitchen in the DTES during the pandemic to be able to have food available to the people immediately. No one else did anything like that. They delivered a lot of food. Now they have an auxiliary kitchen in the DTES permanently that serves free meals. I thought more news would come out of the shooting but it seemed quiet for a bit until Trudeau accused the Indian government of the attack. This news also shocked me, so I decided to start looking into it slowly. I couldn't really get a good idea of what was going on until I searched a video for Diwali and your videos came up. I will share it with my husband so he can be educated on the matter as well. Thank you for your diligent research and dissemination of important knowledge.

It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. The fact is you’ll never have a good paying job in Canada being an immigrant. When I say this trust me I mean it. Most you’ll get is a minimum wage job which can make you survive the life here. Taxes are high definitely and what I feel is you’re working to make someone else’s life easier. \n(P.S: people who’ve stayed in Canada will understand who I’m implying to)\nNo one wants to be your freind, scope of socializing is zero coz mostly it’s cold round the year so everyone hardly come out, especially in Northern provinces like Yukon, Saskatchewan, Manitoba.\nHealthcare is a joke. If you feel sick and not well and you wanna see a doctor be prepared to wait for hours and hours. I once had stomach infection and I had to wait 5 hours till someone could see me. I asked for painkiller at-least so I could bear the pain but they refused that as well. You might well see someone you love dearly and with whole heart die in-front of you and you could do nothing. (I’ve experienced it myself hence saying)\nYou’re a lone survivor who’ll always keep fighting. \nThe only person who can make money here is businesses and high paid jobs which are reserved to Canadians. That’s how Canada’s job market is. Canadians’ first and if there’s something left they’ll look at you. By the amount of money people invest here they can establish a nice business back in their country itself and earn accordingly on own terms. \nMost importantly you’ll cut yourself from all emotional supports like family, freinds etc.\nI was social person back in India who liked making new freinds and memories but it’s nothing like that here. \nAnd it’s the same life, no different.\nYou wake up, dress, eat, go to work, come back, eat, sleep. No different.\nNo fun and nothing. You actually don’t live in present, you live in an expectation of a better tommorow.\nYou’ll always have a smile when you greet someone but I guarantee you no one’s gonna check on you to if you don’t start a conversation even with a simple “Hi”. Mostly Canadians are nice but again some will systematically judge you and say nothing but you’ll see in their actions, the way they’ll talk in a twisted way etc.\nYes I’m not saying that Canada’s bad or it’s no good but trust me it will take forever to build a life here especially with the number of people moving here from round the world. \nIf you’re well off financially from back home Canada’s a paradise for you. Indeed it’s a beautiful country with lots of beauty and lots to explore but remember everything comes with a cost here. Everything comes with a cost. People need to stop believing in this fake illusion and come only if they got a purpose here. The only reason why they’ll let you in the country is for money and once you’re in you’ll have to keep spending, doesn’t matter if you’re broke or whatever you have to.\nOnce I earn I’ll happily give up my PR status and go back to India as i very well know what the situation is how it’s gonna be in future.\nSo just one piece of advise to every middle class person like me, guys please invest and spend your money wisely coz we know how hard it is to earn and it’s high time Canadians start appreciating what immigrants like us do for them by burning ourselves day and night and start realizing that their past generation once came from some other part of the world as well and settled here. In my concern, I'm a truck driver from Europ many of my fellows from France, Belgium... are complaining about how broke is the immigration system, housing system... luck of opportunities in many sectors... this is scary. we don’t even know who we’re letting into our own country. and with everything currently going on, who knows how many of them are sleeper agents or terrorists sent to destroy the country from within? especially with a vast majority of them being fighting age men? islamic extremists, terrorists, all people we’re letting cross into our country FREELY, and supporting and encouraging BETTER than our own citizens?!\n\nmany of them hate the very country, people, and values they’re illegally entering and eventually overpopulating and mass influencing. eventually these same people will hold positions of power, and the sheer number of them is absolutely overwhelming and can’t be ignored, with the number increasing each day our borders remain open, and security and stricter laws aren’t enforced. and with the constant display of weakness and incompetence from our “leaders”, they may just be emboldened. i’m afraid that one day, they may just rise up and commit mass terrorism. looting, murder, are all possibilities. and with the sheer number of them, we wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. they would be the ones in power now. thing is, our country supports and helps the illegals who hate them more than their own citizens. it’s absolutely treasonous. the longer our borders remain unprotected and wide open, their numbers will only increase, and so will their terrorism. \n\nnot only that, but the amount of illegals we constantly let in and those who are already in, are absolutely negatively impacting our country’s economy, living conditions, population is increasing, many of which are illegals and are a danger to our society, their numbers increasing by the day and taking over our country from within and them holding positions of power, homelessness and cost of living is rising, debt and inflation also keep rising, etc. it’s all bad. \n\nmass deportations must be enforced, but even then, im afraid that too many of them have already infiltrated the country. and considering how our own government hates us and spends billions on everything else BUT their own citizens. it’s not looking good and has huge potential to explode into something terrifying. \n\nthis is already a massive ongoing threat in america, and the possibility of it happening here in Canada becomes more likely the longer our borders are open, and the longer stricter laws and more protective and security measures aren’t being enforced. canada must be canada FIRST with the safety, security, and well-being of our citizens FIRST. \n\nthough with the constant numbers, and the continued ignorance, evil, and corruption in our government, i’m afraid they’re already here waiting for the right moment to strike us. \n\nthat’s why above all, we can’t rely on our leaders to do anything or bring us peace. the only one who can, is Jesus Christ. the one who gave His life for us and gave us the free gift of salvation. all we must do, is follow him, pick up our crosses, have faith in him, and have a relationship with him. \n\nwe must all repent of our sins and lovingly follow him. that is all that matters. Korea, Japan, Singapore mainly all Asian countries are top 5 in safety all over the world I think. \nAsia especially Korean and Japan have great service, quality of food with reasonable price. I think I don't need to move foreign country. \nmy background is in South Korea but I can say living in Toronto Canada was horrible and harsh for Korean. Because of multiple reasons but the harsh weather is the biggest for me. Feels like winter in Toronto is 7~8 months long if I compare it to winter in Korea. Fall and Spring?? No, they don't have fall and spring and it's all winter. they have snow in early September late April or May. It was horribly hard because the cold air from the arctic and really powerful wind came all together. even though the weather and temperature look a little bit off from Korea, Canada has a much more harsh location with weather. not only harsh weather but they do provide really embarrassing experience such as expensive payment for everything, a lot of factors disturb me from leaking money. I don't think Canada is a good country. my view of this country totally has been changed 3 years ago.

I think she appreciates the health care as well with my talks with her over the years. She and I've been thinking this lately that Canadians have either changed or that Canadians are more friendly stereotype is going down .I think with more immigration, the cost of living and frozen pay and higher and higher taxes Canadians are increasing discouraged with politics and Canada in general. You noticed many of the woman mentioning health care and social programs as well? Police... We have a lot here as well maybe more so because of pay. The police are well looked after and paid well here. I think politics are getting more polar and more divisive here as well. The liberals have really really done a stellar job with two terms of sheer WEF CCP hogwash to destroy the country. Another general stereotype is that Americans are obnoxious and unpleasant isn't true as well. I'm in tourism and find most of the Yanks to be friendly and polite and GREAT TIPPERS. Ha many US servers don't like it when Canucks go over there because they're stingy. I think if everything works out without saying more, your country, like it or not , will ultimately start the big liberation finally of humanity hopefully for the better. You folks generally have a bigger love of freedom and you're ARMED. You have the mindset and the LEVERAGE to change the system. I can't talk from a point of experience in Canada but from a point of experience in Kenya. Yes things are tough everywhere but I believe things are tuffer here in Kenya, well unless you have a good job, good business or money to invest. I have done of research about Canada, Germany, UK and even Finland. What I have learnt is that opportunities are there as opposed to Kenya. Here in Kenya it's doesn't matter if you have a skill, or papers getting a job is not easy and even harder is getting a good paying job. Most people makes less 10 CAdollars per day which today 1000 or 30 per month minimum wage in Canada is i guess 14.5 in the less expensive provinces. If you work 14 hours per \nDay which I believe possible you have about uko na 20k in ksh, pay tax of maybe 30% combined you have about 130 cad per day work for 25 days in a month you will have about 3250 net stay in most affordable place(hujaenda raha) you can get 1250 in low cost province (not Ontario or BC though here minimum wage iko juu), groceries and expenses budget 1000 per month you can save about 100k ksh pm, save in Cad for few years stay like a student on the budget but work like a donkey. Come back home in few years lets say 5 with save coins probably CAD will trading at 150 coz the hit shilling is taking mind-blowing. It has some of the most exspensive housing in the world. Canada & Australia's economy is based on economic growth through mass immigration. The cost of this policy, means you also need to restrict development & zoning regulations to artificially keep properties high. Governments need make your population continually, working as slaves, to pay for basic costs, of a largely welfare dependent society. While your a debt slave, you don't spend your money on foreign products, as you have very little in the way of exsports, to pay for imports. The upside to this, you have many slaves to pay for the never ending welfare, as you have a policy of supporting refugees, single parents & the disabled, over self reliance & responsibility. Mental health issues are largly created by society, they are very rarely genetic. The high cost of living, means, you cant afford families. No strong family ties means, poor mental health issues. When you outsource, what familes once did, like help the the elderly, support your unemployed brother & have children. Replace all what families did with government welfare, instead of families helping each other, replace reproduction with mass immigration. You end up creating enormous problems in society. Problems with mental health & crime.\nNow for your modelling career. In Japan, your a novelty, as you have a different look to the Japanese. However in Canada, for your age what are your best features. You only have one. You have very good skin. However your face shape, is slightly disproportionate, basically, meaning your just an average shape face. You could also work on going to the gym, as your not toned. So basically as a whole, for your age group, your slightly above average, say a 6 out of 10, which is not all that good as 60% of Canada's population are overweight. Now as a model, you need to compete with people who are younger & better proportioned 7,8 & 9's. No such thing as a 10.

We have this in Europa too Germany, England, Italian, Greeks can't take no more. Germany is the only country that pay so much welfare and children money. Life in Nigeria is only decent for those living affluently in Lekki, Victoria Island, Ikoyi, certain areas of Ikeja and Abuja. Outside of that, life for everyday Nigerians is crap. Water & electricity (NEPA) are highly unreliable & intermittent, so fuel-powered generators are a necessity for living everyday life per household or per apartment in apartment complexes. The banking & government systems are notoriously sluggish, taking weeks and months to process simple paperwork such as drivers licenses, passports, certificates, banking transaction reversals, you name it. Bribery is a daily occurrence EVERYWHERE. Police (if you can call them that, mostly untrained thugs) detain & extort motorists and/or people innocently going about their daily lives, just for the money. Many many many people disappear mysteriously without ever being seen again by family or friends. Lots of inter-racial discrimination and animosity between the three major tribes that make up Nigeria… Yoruba, Igbo & Hausa-Fulani. The federal & state governments are horribly corrupt, bordering on dictatorship. Elections are undemocratic, to say the least, with thugs threatening voters at voting booths. I could go on?\n\nThis is why many Nigerians with any amount of wealth live in diaspora, whether that be the UK, Canada, the USA, Europe, or wherever. And, yeah, be prepared for everything being structured & organized in these countries, especially in North America. The cost of living is definitely higher to pay for a higher quality of living. That’s the difference between a developed country vs a country, such as Nigeria, that’s developing or considered ‘third-world’. Unfortunately, here in Canada we cannot account for the last 8 years under our current administration, which has gone rogue & is out of control, causing high inflation, interest rates and housing and cost of living to soar. This is not normal conditions even to those of us natural-born here. So, we feel for immigrants who have arrived in good faith in the last few years. I’m sure their country of origin is looking better than what is being experienced here in Canada currently.

So I’m going to echo a lot of the other comments here regarding gun violence. The number ONE cause of death to children is gun violence. Not illness,not car accidents, not poverty or abuse…GUNS. \nBut here is what I found so strange. I’ve never walked into a place of business in Canada that was so clearly diverse. I went into a ladies clothing store and everyone stopped and looked at me like “what are you doing here” I’m white and everyone else was black. And I was like “ what is going on” I thought, is this a thing? My friend had the same experience. He walked into a barber shop, he’s white and all the men were black. He didn’t get it either. In both cases we were treated very well and when they realized we were Canadian we all understood the situation. Because in Canada that just wouldn’t happen. I wouldn’t want to live in a country where even businesses are segregated. That’s just a sad situation.

As a German with a chronic illness my top no. 1 reason to not move to the US would be the same: How the heck would I pay for my medical needs without going broke? The other reasons are just as valid. The political climate is terrible with too much extremism everywhere, there's lots of bigotry and intolerance towards marginalized groups and that insanity with weapons everywhere, the secular state being undermined by religious zealots and a few other things would have me screaming all day. I'm also always baffled about how much of a multiverse the US are in the sense that everyone just lives their life in their own bubble. It's sometimes literally like every little city or county is its own state, again with lots of negative side effects like nepotism and corruption because the sheriff and county judge are cousins or such. I'm sure it would indeed depend a lot where you live and how you earn your living, but for the most part it just sounds and looks unattractive to move to the US unless you're part of the upper echelons of society and need not worry about any of these things.

I had a friend whos family split up and all 4 children and their mom ended up down in Philadelphia somewhere (some cult/religious thing she got into that started the whole divorce ect) and they would come back to Canada for visits. When he would explain going to school, having to walk through metal detectors on the way in, guarded by cops with SMG's I just couldn't fathom what he was talking about or why it would be needed. Luckily I managed to convince him to stay one time when he came and visited and still lives here. Personally I'm considering moving with how hostile my government here in Canada has become to anything oil/gas/nuclear/fertilizer. My trade (Steamfitter/Pipefitter) is being reduced to shut down work only and I have some family down in Texas and its pushing me more and more to start looking elsewhere for work. However I'm single, if I had a family there would be no way id leave. As good of healthcare you have down there (way better than most if not all of Canada in relation to wait times and expertise), one long illness or something and they drop your health care? Your screwed. Plain and simple.

I live just outside of Montreal, pretty near the border. One of my good friends used to live in Vermont, right near the border and we would visit each other several times a year. She moved to Tennessee, and I flew down to visit her a few years ago (haven't been down since COVID) while Trump was still president and I'm not even joking when I say that as soon as I left Nashville I was highly anxious 100% of my time there. And I'm white, I'm not a visible minority, I suppose if I kept my mouth shut nobody could tell I'm not from there, it really hit me how sad it is that I even felt that. All these patriotic gun toting Americans I feared would shoot me for whatever reason they could come up with. I understand that that's not ACTUALLY likely, I was glad I left my husband and children at home, and while I enjoyed my weekend there I couldn't WAIT to get back home. I was horrified that not only do people ACTUALLY think like this, but those who are being oppressed, or those who simply support those being oppressed are having to keep quiet for fear of being murdered because of this. Look, I'm all for helping others, but this is not the way to go. I live near the border and have had to chase people out of my property. I've caught people staring at me through my window (I live by myself, so I was kinda nervous) I don't care if people come into the country as long as its legally.

America has fought HARD for centuries to achieve freedom. We’ve shed infinite amounts of blood for the rights we have. Freedom isn’t free. It takes centuries to get to that. People think it sucks to have to spend ten years becoming a legal citizen here, well count yourself lucky that you didn’t have to shed any blood, lose any family members, fight against an oppressive enemy for your rights, or lose your house in a battle for a free country. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, look up American history. Count how many battles were fought; how many wars; how many people died; how many Americans became POW’s on our own land during the Civil War. Look how hard it’s been. Look how hard it is now. We never stop fighting for what we want. Freedom takes work. America isn’t some island paradise. It never has been. We all live on the same earth. We all experience hardship. And there’s no amount of money, illegal border crossing, or anything else that can keep us from that harsh reality. In life we’re going to suffer. That’s just how it is. Stop thinking that illegally crossing a border is somehow going to solve all problems. It won’t. The grass isn’t greener on the other side just because. Bloodshed makes that grass green: Sacrifice. Hard, laborious work; and centuries of time.
