Nations protect the demographic interests and clear majority control for the native population. ALL Western immigration is deliberately aimed at NOT doing that, and in fact is aimed at destroying that. That's a crime. As an emmigrant who came to this country 15 years ago, I am astonished by the lack of knowledge this country has. This reason stands in empty education ( in an irony of life, the canadians call it one of the best on the word), and the belief Canada is a democracy. It is typically a fascist country that makes spurious elections because it is truly run by an establishment hidden as a secret society and in the surface is run as a mafia by small groups of interest ( corporations, professional order, injustice system, and emty shell politicians). The others ( the canadian people) they enjoy democracy 😂, high quality of life( really, just make a visit to a poor european country as Portugal, Greece ). The same goes for education, just oven degrees hot and not edible. Now Canadians learned that immigrant are taking their land and opportunities. You're lied, put under pot, and cheated by your democratic representatives. Try to fight, you'll be in a gulag (minus 15 Celsius only for some day) until the nobel prize candidates of uot and mcgill will put you democratically under tanax.

Focusing too much on being anti-Trump is a strategic mistake for the Democrats. In order to win, you have to convince the average non-partisan person that you are seeking their best interest. Moral high grounding does not work. The current majority sentiment of the US population is that they want the government to prioritize the interest of the US first and foremost. I think we need to give it time. In a year or two picture should be clear. I don't think tariffs are necessary a bad thing long term if they spike more production of everything or at list anything in US. Short term it would be painful for everybody tho.
