Immigration is not the problem, foreign intervention is,and we just stood around as our government announced that they are aware of Chinese spies within our government…Canada had a declining birthrate, we can’t keep up with our NATO budget and are about to get kicked out, we have a lack of infrastructure, “let them eat cake” but instead of cake it’s taxes to “save the planet in 100 years” Canadians are gonna save the world okay…. Immigration is not the problem. Our way of governing and our entitled upbringing have resulted in this problem. We just go oh well okay that sucks.\n\nWe have lots of workable land, oil,raw materials and lots of it, in an area that is very livable compared to say the Amazon. Did you really think the world is just gonna let us hide it away to have something pretty to look at while the world starves? Sure we don’t have to care and it’s not our problem to police the world, But eventually they will want what we have. It’s not immigration it’s foreign intervention and “investment” other nations and the UN will cry and say it’s not fair that we keep it all undeveloped. I was thinking of moving to Canada from Finland and Latvia in a few years to escape the looming war with Russia (I am no soldier by nature at all), but now I started having second thoughts about the plan. Finland is actually similar to Canada across several of the points you mentioned, but the cost of living is, surprisingly, still OK here. I do love proper winters, northern boreal nature and introverted people, however :)

So I was born in Russia, then moved to Toronto, then lived in New York for 5 years... Let me tell you waits in emergency room in New York aren't nearly as bad as in Toronto... but costs... 300 dollar copay when my employer in New York was giving me one of the best insurance available in US... But I just didn't like living in US... I moved back to Toronto eventually to lower pay, mainly because my relatives are here... but having social safety net and stuff like that is nice, even if my salary in Toronto is lower than in NYC...\nP.S. both USA and Canada are way better than living in Russia tho

I have followed the US for years and visited many times. America is an exciting society but it is psychotic and does everything in excess. I suspect living in China or Russia would be a more dramatic psychotic experience. This psychotic aspect is a by product of each type of society given the inherent pressures at play, Americas is unique.

I have been living in Nigeria since past 8 yrs.Things were really better uptil 2 yrs back ,when Ukraine Russia war broke,followed by planned devaluation of Nigerian currency which is almost 50 % of its value as a result of removal of parity between dollar rates .As if this wasn’t enough the government removed all the subsidies from the fuel suddenly citing various reasons.The salaries have not increased as per the inflation which is over 15 % and the saving is almost zero of common masses.Most of the businesses are suffering and people are confused what next is coming for them.

OH HECK! No way, I would not move to the USA. I would move to many European Countries way before moving to the USA. First of all, our health care is a fact we do not need to worry. I remember watching this video in 2021 and thinking that the higher taxes are worth it because you are essentially buying safety. I have been PR and working ( oil & gas ) in Canada 50% of year for past 7 years. Buy house in Banff and pay ridiculous high tax. I am happy in Canada, but will never leave Russia.
