It's a rat race where the government benefits the most out of immigrants as they will earn huge amounts of taxes. Rather one should focus on how to achieve financial freedom through financial literacy in their own country. Only then one can achieve peace of mind and financial freedom. Grass is always greener on the other side . Save money and invest it to grow your money else inflation will eat up all the savings as its rightly said savings makes one poor as savings cannot keep up with ever high inflation. Why? That's 5 million people every decade. Canada needs an immigration pause, to allow it to properly deal with the huge amount of immigration in the past 25 years. This only benefits the builders, the banks, the realtors etc., not the average Canadian. At this rate Ontario will start to look like Greater London, or Tokyo or some other metropolis - just a deeply dysfunctional one with crappy public transport. We didn't vote to lose the Canada that we love, and Trudeau doesn't have a mandate to destroy it. We can also kiss goodbye to our greenhouse gas emission targets with such a growth in population.

Stop bringing in people who are so different from us. Look at what the government has caused. Racisim and hate. We love immigrants but ones that will fit in. When in Rome do as the Romans do. You are bringing in people who have 100 or more years of anger. And commit crimes and don't blend in.

I notice how the young lady says that she’ll earn well live a life and fun on the weekends just like we saw in the movies. Except movies don’t always mirror reality. Hope she understands that she is lucky to have a lovely father and a beautiful land. One faces lots of depravities as an immigrant.

Yes the racism is very high here. \nMany people come here for a better life but that is very hard to find now days in Canada. Governments here, on every level have let Canadians down . They stopped investing in affordable housing. They haven’t provide enough placement for education of medical staff over decades and now we don’t have enough nurses and doctors. \nWe need better educated voters but of course they don’t put enough money into education. It’s seems people prefer voting for bullies rather than people who actually care about the people and the land that feeds us. Jagmeet Singh is s good leader but would Canadians vote in a person of colour with an agenda to actual help the people and the environment, probably not. It really is sad because Canada did provide a lot more for people in the past. But it’s always been a racist country unfortunately, just look at its history. \nI love this country and I see the politicians saying oh free healthcare doesn’t work while behind the scenes they are the ones not providing the training of medical professionals. They line the pockets of corporations Like the fossil fuel industry. Those are our resources. Taxes paid is our money. We need to be smarter voters and louder voices to demand our governments do their job. Protecting and caring for the land and the people and animals that live here. It really comes down to us the people. \nWhy does a country as rich as Canada have homeless people , because the leaders don’t care and the voters don’t care enough to demand more. \nI can’t blame immigrants for leaving. Actually, I have never heard such garbage from two thankless persons in my life. Again it’s a case of the minority spoiling it for the many Immigrants from all over the world who LOVE CANADA AND APPRECIATE THE OPPORTUNITY CANADA HAS GIVEN THEM. They worked hard to build a life for themselves and their Family. Many of them became wealthy financially and in a personal sense and never expected the Government or anyone to give them a free hand. These people make Canada what it is in spite of people like you. So, leave now and make room for someone else who what’s the opportunity to live in Canada and shall appreciate it. Ho by the way, just remember to leave your Passport here and renounce your Canadian Citizenship, which you obviously do not respect or value. We Canadians shall wish you every success wherever you decide to live. I promise you that I shall never move to your Country and expect a free cup of coffee, never mind a free lunch. I’m sure I would be welcomed with open arms, given free food and a roof over my head and somewhere to sleep. HA! HA! Pigs are pink and fly!

Removing sentiments, home is where your heart (loved ones) are and where you find peace. People who have found peace in Canada should not be shamed to think they have to move back sometime or the other.\nAlso, it shouldn't be a question for recent immigrants who have not perfected their stay yet. Canada can be home just as Nigeria is home to.\n\nI wonder how soon the interviewer will move back to Nigeria. Funny how she assumed all the people she interviewed are Nigerians ?.

I don't agree with most of what you ladies counted as negative points! and I'm an immigrant living in Vancouver for the past 26 years. This is a multicultural society and a very successful one, we all mingle with each other and we love it! Loneliness?!! Come on! Have you been to Europe anywhere?!! :)) you won't last a month! Taxes are not too high at all and healthcare does work. I had a brain tumor removal for free and they admitted me after 2 days! If these don't make you feel right at home here, nothing will! By the way, it's TOTALLY fine to have a thick accent here! LOL.

I love Quebec also but like any province it has its flaws, we are governed by 2 gouvernements who hate each other so both fight about everything,we pay taxes to both these governments, the only way you can attend or send your children to English school is if you were born here(canada) and someone in your family went to english school, so if you are french or an immigrant you have no choice in the matter you are going to french school, we were voted the most corrupt province a few years back, you can do anything you want though….as long as you paid for your permit to do it, wanna ride the trails on your atv 300$, wanna ride a motorcycle anywhere between 600$(for a cruiser) to 1700$(sportbike), growing cannabis is illegal unless you buy a 600$ permit then its ok. But even with all its flaws its still an amazing place AND we have maple syrup ? oh but if you make some don’t forget permission from the Federation to sell it cause they can impose massive fines all the way up to seizing you farm. But really its not all that bad…. Crap gotta go it’s curfew time don’t wanna get a 1600$ fine for being out past 8. \n\np.s our Poutine isn’t the one starting a war

well most immigrant just come here to make quick money and go back to their country i know so many in here and its ok i would do the same if i was them like they love their country and they arent made for cold country from what they keep telling me all the times and they just want more money not live in poverty all the times and live a safe life so yeah its a great option i believe and we need them to work for us so even if they quit after a time they does our hard job witch no one here wanna do so its perfect for both of us even if its sad cuz most of these poeple i meet were really good poeple lively will be sad when they leave but its the place they deserve to be :) so i can accept it all their family is there

I like how y’all have created this video by not applying a negative undertone rather more of an informative approach to caution prospective movers of what potentially awaits them. All I would like to highlight is the fact that some people will experience all these points as negative aspects or maybe even one or two that might lead to the breaking point.\nIt all depends on where you come from and how life was in your “home” country.\nYou might come from a higher tax environment with non existent healthcare and education. From that perspective, 40% taxes might look better and the healthcare might be great or crap depending on what your health issues are. I personally haven’t had any struggles with most of these aspects - finding a great job was relatively easier, (key word - relatively) the healthcare system worked for me when I needed it to, I was mentally prepared for the high taxes, I culturally adapted to the point where people thought I was Canadian and didn’t realize I came in from a very different environment. I’m sure this cultural adaptation helped me with my job and made it easier to live here.\nAll in all, you can say I’ve had the “perfect” immigrant experience that most people would dream of. But what do i think really? Personally, I have come to realize that Canada at the moment does not fit into my personal goals and values and that is okay. Loneliness away from people you love can be tough. It just isn’t the same feeling making new friends and hanging out with coworkers who are much older than you are and in a different place in life. I’m very close to my family and friends who I’ve grown up with and are on the other side of the world. My parents are getting older and I want to spend as much time with them as possible. For that reason, I might consider being somewhere closer to them. I’d perhaps consider coming back here some day when I’ve got my own family and kids which I currently don’t have. To me, that’s a personal value high on the list. I guess my only takeaway from this video and advise to people looking at each of these points - take each one and compare it with your home country. If you think you’re better off in Canada, then move - it’s a great place! If not, think about it real hard and weigh out the pros and cons.

Canada is what you make of it. You can arrive rich and end up poor and you can arrive poor and end up rich. In between that, you can have a great life that balances your needs. I’ve seen immigrants succeed simply because they see the opportunity in front of them . They worked hard in their own counties to stay just above the poverty line ,but when they apply that same effort here it pays off ten times greater. I feel that compared to a lot of immigrants, natural born Canadians come across as spoiled and a little lazy…we are. We haven’t had to struggle the same way someone from a poorer country might have. I’ve talked to people who’ve worked ten to twelve hours a day just to stay afloat. If you did that here you could make plenty of money to live and have some left over. As far as owning a house goes,yes it’s expensive . I feel that homeownership in any country is relatively expensive. Here is a tip; use that soaring home prices to your advantage. Houses are expensive but you can make a lot of money buying and selling. I recommend putting together a buyers group and share the house for a few years, then sell at a profit, buy a bigger house or two smaller houses.try to buy the worst house in the best neighbourhood and fix it up slowly . That house could double in value in five or six years in the Toronto market. This is nothing new of course ,the people from India and China seem to do this a lot here ,it drives up prices and profits. On the downside to this ,you are now part of the problem. As the housing prices are driven up the non wealthy can no longer afford to own a house . They are at the mercy of high rents with no rewards of ownership. They are caught in a cycle of hard work and (relative)poverty. This could also be you if you can’t keep up the house payments and are forced to rent.\nHow well you speak English is important but your native language is also useful here because Canada is half immigrants . As a Canadian that speaks only english (Irish descent)I have to say to all newcomers that I’m very impressed that you have learned a new language and that you may even speak more than two! Don’t be embarrassed about your abilities . I find that in my experience , Canadians do not look down on people just because they don’t know English. In fact ,I’ve known people that have lived here for decades and still know very little English. They are comfortable in their communities and they function just fine. Learn as much English as suits your needs and be proud of any gains you make.\nOutside of Toronto are other cities that you might consider when looking at southern Ontario.From my experience,most are generally the same, just not as big . There are large immigrant communities in London Ontario, Hamilton and just outside of Toronto where housing is just a little bit less expensive but the commute to work is probably longer. This is just my opinion but in the small towns there are less people of colour , (which is what people of no colour call everyone else . I wonder if I’m called a person of no colour in some other culture ? LoL ). That might make it harder for you to feel integrated ,if that’s what you want. I’m not saying that people from other cultures can’t make it in a small town , I’m just saying that it’s definitely not Toronto . Here, people of any nationality can feel like they have a place where they can belong . It seems that no matter where you are from ,there is a community already here that’s set up restaurants and stores and clothing shops and newcomer support systems. And if your from Portugal or China or India or Africa or the Middle East, there are large groups of your kin here that have established roots for generations and you probably know this already.\nToronto means meeting place and that becomes evident quickly. I was born here and it’s one of the things I love the most about my city. I’m not going to say that there isn’t systemic racism here ,the people of no colour still kind of keep the top position , but as we become a minority in a decade or so ,I hope that will shift to a broader spectrum. It’s certainly happening already. One good thing is that the police department tries to hire people of colour so that racialism may play a smaller role. We’re getting used to seeing our politicians more and more reflect their constituents.\nI have to talk about the weather. Because I’m from here I’m used to the extremes of minus thirty and plus thirty . Eventually you get used to it (somewhat). Dressing in the right clothes is important. Summer is easy , but winter is different. It’s trying to kill you. Spend the most that you can afford on winter cloths . If you can afford a quality parka you should get one. The hood can be drawn around the face and stay out of the wind.\nIf not ,think of layers with a outer layer that blocks the wind. We have things called long Johns that are basically full length thick cotton or nylon pants that go on under your pants and a pair of extra thick socks. Buy your boots to fit your thick socks. Try to get the best boots you can afford ,it’s something that you might spend a little extra for but never regret.\nAll in all we are a fairly organized and peaceful society. Most people are friendly and will give you a chance . We have a good social safety net here and you don’t have to be homeless or starving if you don’t want to. There are people and organizations set up to help ,that truly try to get people back on their feet. It’s a good investment that pays off in ways that matter for the quality of life in a big city. I’m not putting my American neighbours down when I say they do things differently. They have their ways ,we have ours. This is just something that we do because we’re trying to learn how to help those that society has discarded or can’t find their place. Sure we have one or two areas where the homeless have pitched tents and we have some resources for them if they want. Unfortunately The mayor recently forced a small camp to move from a very visible place to more scattered locations. There were social workers involved as well as protesters trying to protect them. I didn’t like that happening and I want to see even more resources dedicated to them ,but on the other hand ,we are trying to avoid something like what happens on the streets when it’s just ignored. When I see YouTube videos of the streets of Philadelphia I’m extremely saddened. I thank the lucky stars that I was born in Toronto Canada.\nFor all it’s pollution and expense and crowds ,I think it’s a great place to do almost anything your heart desires . For every ugly building there is a beautiful park ,for every honked horn there is a birds call , for every cold and dark day there is beautiful sunny one around the corner.

Canadian here. I want to make one thing clear: *WE ARE A REAL COUNTRY WITH VERY STRICT IMMIGRATION LAWS!* I myself am an immigrant, although I came here as a baby. People seem to be under the impression that Canada is some sort of utopia that welcomes every single immigrant with open arms and sings “Hakuna Matata” with them. No, we are an actual country with stricter immigration laws than the US. Yes, we love diversity. Yes, it is our strength. But that doesn’t mean everyone is fair game. In the 21st century, many Canadians are also quite against Christians, though this is the basis for the underlying principles of kindness, goodness, and love that has made the Western World so attractive to many peoples around the world, and has made Canada a haven for many. This is quite a shame on Canada. While loving and blessing others, Canada should NEVER forget her own (Natives and Christians); neither should she forget her good foundations that has made her peaceful, wealthy, and stress free over the centuries. I have had to rescue a white co-worker one time, because she was ill treated by immigrants in the workplace, who thought she was not SMART enough and FAST enough for their purpose. This is a beautiful, gentile white lady, whose parents helped to build Canada. Shame on Canada. It is good to bless others, but at what cost? Selling out your good foundations? Forgetting your own peoples who do not have degrees like others. Shame on Canada for allowing these actions. Canada, rebuild your good foundations.

This is a pretty misleading video.\nYes, our minimum wage went up to $14/h compared to the rest of Canada, however keep in mind it had to accommodate to the cost of living. You're lucky if you can even find a LEGAL small 1 bedroom basement for $800/month. Its not common. \nA car? Brampton has the highest insurance premium in all of Canada. \n\nDon't get me wrong. I LOVE Canada, I couldn't see myself living anywhere else because it is my home. \nHowever, when you compare it to india, in India you're only paying for electricity, gas, and food that you need to buy at the grocery store. \nBut if you really needed to budget and save money, food is LITERALLY growing in your backyard! All the veggies, fruits, etc. You just need to buy the grains and proteins! \n1.5 lakhs sounds great per month. But 1.5 lakhs is realistically not enough to live in Canada. \n\nDon't believe me? Google cost of living in Canada. Google how much a family of 4 would need to make to survive per month in Canada. Also, make sure to check out CANADIAN WEBSITES for this data. (.ca sites or try Global News or CTV news since they have this data)\n\nThe problem is everyone that comes to Canada always comes only to one area which is usually Toronto! However this makes the cost of living go up to accommodate this many people. Compared to Regina, or St. John's not many people immigrate there! It is a smaller city compared to Toronto but at least it's more affordable.\nDo you're research before coming here. Find out whats the best situation for YOUR FAMILY and what YOU can afford. \nCanada is a beautiful place, and yes, Brampton does have a lot of the Punjab culture, but don't be fooled. Just because Canada is a friendly, peace-loving nation doesn't mean were going to let you spill unfettered into our country. We have immigration laws---STRICT ones. We don't owe anyone allowing them to simply flood into our country. Get a clue.

Even if they do try to do it the legal way sometimes they are not granted with any type of visa or green card. The government can deny their application for many reasons. So they end up crossing the border illegally. As well it is cheaper to cross the border than to apply for a visa or some sort of legal document. Many of these “lawbreakers” you suggest to be in jail have tired to do everything the legal way but it didn’t work out. Immigrants risk their lives and their love ones to have a better life, to be able to work to be able to have things that it’s impossible to have in their country. They are innocent people with dreams and hopes I don’t know why ya are so quick to judge. Try to put yourself in their place, and try to be open minded and listen.

I live in Houston Texas. People often say that Mexicans take jobs that no one else will do. That may have been true at some point but now that we are overwhelmed by the illegal immigrants every business only hires Mexicans that speak perfect Spanish and not so perfect English. So blacks, whites and other cultures are stuck! If I wanted to live in Mexico I would move there and learn their language why do they refuse to learn ours? I love every Mexican that I have met. I also love water but I do not want to be dropped into the middle of the ocean. There are at least 350 languages spoken in America why are we bending over backwards 2 make our country bilingual to Spanish and not all the other languages?

Canada has one of the world's toughest immigration laws no surprise here. Again typical liberals love to virtue signal and never really have solution they just want to feel good about themselves.
