Not gonna lie. But Canadian teenagers feel entitled . They don’t want to work which is a shame. That might be a problem with the parents. But a good portion of 20-35 year old living with there parents are white Canadians. Let me be clear before you all slam me. But it is fucking true. Look at the line ups and tell me how many Canadians do you see. None. The problem is they want a job to pay them big money right off the start. We all started somewhere. I worked for 5.35 an hour that was only 20 years ago. That was minimum wage. Ridiculous right!!! But it actually hasn’t moved up much sense then. Saskatchewan is still the lowest minimum wage in all of Canada ( thanks Scott Moe?). I get it. Even right now with the Trudeau government you really can’t make enough money to survive but you have to try.

It is not a problem at all. In most countries, they would see this as an opportunity to build more apartments and make money. Canada is not a smart country. Canada thinks it has so many homes, and if more people are coming in, that must be stopped. Clearly, Canada should not be a major economy. It does not get Capitalism.

Excellent work on his part for this matter is so clear and yet so strewn in the western media. These people are being killed for their land and although there was a terrible event, it pales to what has been happening to them for a century and Beyond. There is no excuse for murder and genocide, and that goes both ways. Listened to your vlog and I want to suggest few things as an immigrant myself... I am not sure of your detials but seems like your husband came back after 2 months leaving you there with family.. I have rarely seen any family settling abroad unless they have seriously burnt all there bridges back home.. if you start with a mindset that let's go and see and if doesn't work out we will come back 90% odds are you will go back.. firstly come with absolutely clear mind that no matter what happens you are not going back.. and you will make it here no matter what. The journey will become much easier and one directional.. Secondly you do not have to rely on any family abroad to move.. this is an other mistake people make.. they think they will have support but this support is actually a limiting option ... it doesn't let you get on feet quicker. Nobody can support you for long abroad and sooner than later you have to get on your feet. once you over stay your welcome you can start getting some unwelcoming vibes and then you get depressed thinking there is no one genuinely yours in this country.. you waste your initial time relying on your family.. better start without them in the first place and get going from day one.. and lastly 2 3 months is nothing to settle any where let alone in Canada.. you have to be patient, persistent and focused and after 2 years and after seeing all the calendar and religious seasons twice, you finally start to think of new place as your home.. its hard but in the end it's truly worth it and then you can never go back to India or Pakistan

I'd be interested in seeing the raw statistics of mass immigration vs job scarcity and value. Living in a rural town in one of Canada's poorest provinces, it feels like businesses are relying on immigrants to work for minimum wage, which is still $15 BELOW the living wage. Since they can hire people for less, they will do so. There is also the issue of these international students relying on and clearing-out food banks. They're sold the idea that they only need $10k a year to survive in Canada, and obviously they can't, so they rely on these systems (that were already struggling as more and more people face homelessness and extreme poverty) to get by.

Canada is a country that is built on middle class where a large part of the population are within the same earning range. There are positives to this, less crime, there is not a huge disparity between rich and poor which makes for a more sane environment don’t get me wrong, we still have our crime rate. Now you can see that the professional programs are limited compared to other countries in the universities and highly competitive so that you don’t have so many professionals with high earning power thereby creating a huge disparity. On the other hand, these high earners don’t get a tax return, get any govt cheque, their kids don’t get huge amounts for OSAP instead, they get billed to pay back the govt and that’s how those of you complaining now where able to get govt cheques when you just relocated, support low income homes and newly landed immigrants. There’s free health, good Ammenities, snow is cleared, the roads are salted and de iced, free Education, govt loans and school loans that’s where your tax money goes to. Everyone has an accent that’s your identity why will you feel somehow or intimidated when you are told you have an accent that’s being timid say yes I have an accent it’s African or Caribbean etc. About racism it’s rare never experienced it that’s not saying it doesn’t happen but am gonna call you out if it’s obvious I have been profiled. Yes the weather is harsh did you not look at your map before relocating ?? In all most of these complaints are individual experiences so I won’t invalidate it but don’t trash what you gained from. Retraining and certification is a must especially when you are coming from a certain country and it’s not a bad idea. Am in healthcare and retraining is a must if you didn’t school here cos it’s entirely different talk about work ethics, equipments, software, differentiation in policies, health laws and malpractice laws.\nLook at the brighter side of life and stop complaining migration has its pros and cons position yourself in a place to have a good life, go back to school, get certified, keep retraining and adding value to your certificate.

Just to be clear the things being taught in schools “without parents knowing” are all online for parents to access anytime under the Government of Ontario website. What the parents see are the exact same documents the teachers use. Also, the Ontario curriculum teaches about all different types of families because students come from all different types of families. In terms of “indoctrination” each curriculum specially talks about critical thinking. \nOf course if your child comes home talking about something that concerns you just reach out to the school/teacher. When it comes to religious reasons alternative arrangements can be made to keep your child from gaining more knowledge on the subject of your concern.

I’m not Muslim, I’m a 72 yr.old white guy ,secular,born in England, came to Canada as a six year old. I agree with all your reasons for wanting to leave. It makes perfect sense. Especially the reasons that relate to your faith, which although I’m secular , I agree with . These include educational indoctrination in the schools regarding LBGTQ etc. ,identity politics, and a lack of political leadership that unapologetically denounces genocide in Palestine. \nRegarding suggestions about where to go we’d need to know what languages you speak etc. Obviously Arabic or Persian would be number one . Without knowing that I wouldn’t know what to suggest. I think it's clear, from the comments, that the problem is similar for all developed nations and the reason is immigrants from developing countries. It is also clear that most people who see this problem hate anything socialist or communist so... yeah. They’re watching from afar with their popcorn, saying “isn’t it terrible what the Israeli’s are doing.. but we won’t let them come here to escape, which would let the Israelis fight this war with Hamas, who initiated it, without civilians in between.” With no mention of how Hamas as put them in the middle and isn’t protecting them. Also no mention of any responsibility Hamas has for bring this war onto them by the large scale terrorist attack, that includes hundreds of civilian hostages of all ages.

I am a Canadian citizen who moved to Bangkok, Thailand, 26 years ago as I had a professional job there. At that time, I was attracted by the Thai culture, the weather and the quality of life. I have been married to my beautiful Thai wife (S.E. Asian ladies are stunning?) for 23 years and we have two grown up children (one is studying in Canada!). I feel that I have more personal freedom in my daily life here, under a military government, than I would in Canada. There is also fast fibre optic internet, reasonably priced phone plans, the low cost of living (I bought an apartment after the 1997 financial crisis), affordable and world class private hospitals. I have learned the language and this is the perfect country for me to retire in. I could not clearly see the future years ago, but I asked myself, where do we think the future is? With creditor nations or with debtor nations? I am so glad that I made the decision to leave Canada in 1997!

Do not know Canada but finding the cost of living higher than in the UK sounds a little bit hard to swallow . I live in South East Asia and go to Europe quite often (Paris - Dublin - London ) and the UK and Ireland are clearly on the top most expensive place to live . For example in Ireland the foreigners coming are young single graduates who wants 2/3 years with the Big Tech and does not mind spending 1000€ / month for a bedroom in a shared flat. And with the exception of high level managers sent for few years by their companies (so everything paid) you never see any families going there to settle ...there is no way they can afford it , even the young locals are looking for jobs abroad .

I immigrated to Canada in 2010, and here are my experiences inside and outside Canada. I am grateful for a good education; having a Canadian passport opened up many opportunities in other countries to build a higher-level career. However, if I had known the amount of stress, health, and financial damage that I had to endure, I wouldn't have chosen to come to Canada. I would have remained in the US or EU countries where I could achieve even more without suffering to the level I did here. \n\nMisleading immigration promotion: The government-sponsored Canadian immigration program oversells what Canada can offer. It withholds information on the cost of living, chicken-and-egg problems like Canadian work experience is required to get a job at the same level as you are in, Canadian credit history is required to rent a proper apartment, Canadian education is required to secure a high-level job, etc. \n\nHiring process: I knew the Canadian system was not ideal for immigrants over a decade ago, but it got so bad now that even the born citizens are unable to survive. The Canadian government and employers lack a basic understanding that ambitious, high-achieving people immigrate to other countries for high-level positions using proper channels. It's ridiculous to see that Canada uses a point-based system to choose highly qualified personnel to enter their country yet expects them to pursue low-paying entry-level or labor jobs just because they have brown/black skin. At first, I thought having a Canadian degree and experience might help me get high-level jobs, and I didn't think how I spoke or looked would matter when I had high credentials to show off. So, I got my masters & Ph.D. from the Univesity of Toronto, which consistently ranks #1 in Canada. I have a bachelor's from a prestigious university in Asia and had a high-competitive, well-paid federal government job in another country. Still, none of that was recognized in Canada, and I had to volunteer for over 6 months, 10 to 12 hours/day, in a research lab that led to a funded PhD program. I worked even harder during my Ph.D. with many accomplishments, like 40+ research and leadership awards, internationally recognized scientific discoveries, and innovative technologies. I checked all the above and beyond in various domains (research, teaching, leadership, business, engineering consulting, collaborations, etc.). Yet, employers couldn't see past my race, gender, age, etc., and refused to give me the opportunity at the level of my qualifications. Luckily, I managed to secure short-term work in the UK & the US, and it changed even how I see myself. I was highly respected for my credentials, given higher positions than I applied for, and paid 3-4 times more salary and benefits. Of course, bias is an integral part of every society, but my race, gender, age, etc., were not as big of an issue to begin my career at the mid-career stage in these countries as opposed to Canada. \n\nHealthcare: Access to healthcare was another big challenge for me. When I moved to Canada in 2010, due to extremely low temperatures, I developed hives all over my body, my eyes got red, and I coughed for many months. The doctor said there was nothing wrong with me and refused to give me any medication. It took us years to get a family doctor, and we got one through my personal network. In 2015/2016, I developed an autoimmune disease, and my eyeballs popped out. As of today, I did not get to see an eye specialist as they have only 1 specialist in the area, and the waiting time is for years for the first consultation. Every time the family doctor told me that I had iron deficiency, even when I insisted that they should run additional tests and they cleared, they were flagged. The doctor never diagnosed my autoimmune condition. Luckily, during my short-term work in the UK, I saw competent interns who completed my care. NHS is poorer than the medical system in Canada... they are understaffed, don't have hospital beds after surgery, or don't have stock of paper gowns, yet the staff are highly competent and caring. Within 1-2 years, they did complete diagnosis by sending me to various specialists, completed eye surgery, and even found a lifelong condition that was preventing me from realizing my full potential. Following, in the US, the doctors confirmed the diagnosis of all the conditions within 1-2 months and put me on two small pills for life. It has dramatically changed my life, and I have even more admiration for the medical profession. While in Canada, I suffered for over a decade, and every time, I was treated as a hypochondriac and never given a single prescription. \n\nQuality of life: Big cities like Toronto are mainly affected by high crime rates, overpopulation, cost of living, low employment, low salaries, etc. A few months back, there was a huge auto theft, and one of my contacts lost their Lexus car within minutes of parking. Despite being a scientist, I have no faith in politicians or individuals fixing these problems. The salaries are not increasing, but the taxes and cost of living are on the exponential growth curve. The ridiculous part is that Canada expects you to pay taxes even when you are not employed or living in Canada! I lived in London and Boston, and they offer a much higher quality of life and pay. \n\nGrowth potential: No wonder Canada, being a G7 country, falls at the bottom of the list in innovation, equal opportunities, economic growth, etc. It has a decent education system but, due to its inherent bias in the hiring process and monopoly of certain businesses, loses talented immigrants and highly qualified Canadians to the US, the UK, and EU markets. Unless there is a dramatic shift in policies, Canadians, especially new immigrants, cannot expect any positive experience in Canada except for being discriminated against and losing valuable time and money by being there.

Instead, she makes it sounds as though it is Muslims who are the victims, while failing to mention the barbarity unleashed on Oct. 7. This is not leadership. This is not her mandate. Her job is to promote tolerance as enshrined in Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. \n\nNow imagine a scenario in which Muslims did what they ought to have done in the first place: condemned the Hamas attack, sided with the Jewish victims and dissociated themselves from terrorism. You fail to see that many Indian IT employees see Canada as a Stepping stone till the US Visa gets cleared . I know many fellow indians who first work for microsoft in Canada , then once they have canadian PR moved to microsoft headquarters in US. Same is true for Indian students . It is easier and cheaper to get a MBA or Masters in Electrical engineering in UToronto than in a top US university . Most Students who travel to Canada for education , leave for jobs in US .

I'm an immigrant from Latin America myself and i have to agree but it's deeper than that.\nI try my best to assimilate the culture but clearly not every immigrant does the same. \nOne of the reasons i left Toronto a couple years ago was precisely because of the housing crisis. Rent prices was on the roof.\nBesides that there's too many foreigners, half the city is trying to learn English and consequently the city's identity is lost. \nBut i guess this lost of identity is happening everywhere in Canada. It's sad to see.

Naw really? We never asked for the liberals WEF agenda. It was never presented in their campaign when running during elections, they simply imposed it upon Canadians and then implied if you disagree you must be some kind of ist or ism. \n\nAnd it's not like we can look at every country who has recently taken in hoards of migrants and see a clear and defined uptick of negative consequences, not to mention the spikes in crime. \n\nNobody is an ist for prioritizing their culture in their country, and for wanting their people to be taken care of first. Canada is in a catch 22 situation: We need to reduce immigration to restore the trust needed to build prosperity (the research on this is absolutely clear - see Putnam, et al, for example.), and we need to maintain it to make up for labor shortages. The fact is, polls show that trust is at an all-time low between Canadians, and it is due to bringing in too many people who are self-segregating and not assimilating. We pumped massive excess cash into our economy during COVID, did not produce enough housing, introduced laws that severely constrained agriculture and dramatically increased the costs of food distribution, and brought in massive numbers of immigrants, among other things. The fact is, we have crushed the birth rate, made homes too expensive, and raised the cost of living to a point where people are desperate, and our school system has destroyed the enterprising spirit that built our economy in the first place.

Reduce taxes and remove Justin and his allies ASAP who are openly threatening minority religious group and telling them to leave the country. instead of making it welfare state, encourage both parents working families - that also implies improving education and health quality. Tired of waiting for hours to see a glimpse of medical staff at other end. Have no idea where all the tax we are paying is going. Probably for Justin's ski vacations!! Look at the road and transit conditions in any of downtown. Also make RCMP accountable and give them some power to deal with increasing crimes. While making the list I can clearly see - why anyone should even stay here!!

I think your video and the Leaky Bucket study have not addressed the first and major concern why immigrants are leaving. We moved here for our kid's future, the Future of Canada lays on generations to come. When we see the evil behind the sexual education that's being pushed we can see clearly evil intentions behind it. \nWe move from thousands of km to come here, wanting sustainable economic growth, but then we're being hit with a much venomous ill intentionally motives.\nNothing stands a chance against our kid's education, even it it meant to go back.

I am very proud Canadian. I have never been able to visit the United States. I can never see myself moving to United States for many reasons. One reason. Your political system is a disaster currently. Plus for some reason. One of United States political parties are refusing to do something about daily mass shooting. The other thing is I don’t know why u keep saying that Punjab is mostly agrarian economy while 20%agriculture contributes in its economy .. Punjab has almost 13000 small and medium factories which is 9th number only low to the states which has ports and their average is 3 times the population of punjab .. the other reason it has the disadvantage of border state where if u see per captia income is less in those districts which borders with Pakistan .. investment is low on that side … Punjab also received 631 million dollars in fdi which is 6th 7th in country …. My humble opinion: this is one guy, whose story hasn't even been confirmed yet. People need to not jump into conclusions. I know a Kenyan in Canada doing care jobs and making close to 10k per day when you include overtime. Which job in kenya (formal or informal) is going to pay you even 5k per day without selling your soul to the devil? Once I see scientific research from a reputable source with clear evidence and data that moving to Canada for work is a bad idea, I'll be convinced.

I guess because Toronto is so huge and because I stayed in the main touristy areas I only noticed a few homeless people during my trip. They were more noticeable to me in Calgary in the spring. But the worst I've seen is Portland, Oregon and Seattle, WA and in 2021 Washington DC was pretty bad off...though the encampments I saw then had been cleared out by DC when I returned in 2023.\n\nI really really enjoyed my stay in Toronto over Labor Day weekend, my first time ever to visit. But just looking around me I got the same sense I did in NYC...it's a beautiful place to visit but living here would be ungodly expensive. The luxury apartments across the street from my hotel seemed to have rather low occupancy, from what I could see from my hotel room window at night. A lot of rental real-estate are speculative investments and any thought of addressing housing needs, keeping occupancy rates high, etc. are purely secondary concerns...zombie buildings with unaffordable rents that remain sparsely occupied while the need(s) are so dire is morally offensive and government should step in with rent controls and occupancy requirements and tax those owners more heavily who have occupancy below a minimum threshold. The increase in crime is a completely expected outcome of economic desperation. The US answer is usually more police & harsher penalties but I hope Canada is more rational and humane in addressing these societal ills.

One thing is clear, mostly Punjabis of India are desperate to enter Canada. We do not see much students from other provinces , in India.

Great documentary, but in my opinion, it's terribly one-sided, portraying these colleges as villains and the students as poor, innocent victims. As a former international student from India myself, who had the privilege of attending a prestigious university in the UK, working there, and moving on, the workings of this situation are as clear as daylight and as old as the hills. \nIt wasn't any different back then in the UK 20 years ago, during the heady Blair days, when UK colleges significantly increased their intake of international students, aided by a lax visa regime. This was also in response to tighter visa restrictions in the US following 9/11. Students enrolling in such colleges, as well as the parents funding them, are well aware that these are degree mills. The sole aim here is to somehow navigate through college and stay long enough until permanent residency comes through. \nTears flow and protests erupt only when this unspoken but clearly understood agreement is broken, often with the media conveniently at hand. The reasons driving this insatiable urge are multifarious, but poverty and lack of opportunities in the country (in this case, India) do not really rank high on the list. Social prestige and an imagined better life in the 'West' certainly do, particularly among young people from states like Punjab, Haryana, and parts of Gujarat. \nNothing about this is illegal, and not to sound cynical, these are market forces at work. However, in my view, this represents a more accurate truth. It would be great to see Fifth Estate also report from this side

Canada is the most overhyped country, people started seeing cracks and it’s very clear. Their entire economy is looting people in the name of student visa, grabbing from hard working tax payers and give that money to anyone. half the country is lazy and on social programs and rest is asylum seekers or illegal immigrant

Canada is not the only county seeing this, and the US not the only country turning it's back on the benifits of immigration. You could have made the exact same video about Ireland vs the UK (except wages in Ireland are far high rather than lower than the UK) Here in Ireland we have long benefitted a great level of immigration fuelling rapid economic growth but since 2016 with Brexit, Trump ect. making it clear that immigrents aren't welcome in some other counrties we have seen a whole new type of immigrent from countries like Mexico where recent graduates seaking work experence in English pick Ireland rather than the US or UK as we have a better immigration system but also a culture which welcomes immigration as an endorcment of our country. Here the more you are proud of you country and culture the more you go out of your way to welcome immigrents who are the living embodyment of your belief that we are the greatest counrty in the world, not the welcome immigrents can expect from nationalists in the US or UK. The big winners here are countries like Canada & Ireland who have recognised that in the 21st Century it's not coal, iron or even oil that brings wealth but rather being able to attract the best & brightest talent in the world.

I usually really like PolyMatter but this video is clearly biased and missing important details. \n\nWhat this video does not talk about is that we already have millions of H1B in this country competing for jobs with American citizens; go into any IT department of most banks, and you will find mostly H1B workers. Walking into any major university career fair, you will see the predatorial scene of hordes of foreign master students competing against American bachelors for the same new grad jobs; with many of the foreign students already having real career experience in their own country competing against inexperienced American young adults. \n\nThis video also does not mention the H1B lottery is not a single-try event. Everyone is given 3 tries and it refreshes if you get another American degree. \n\nLastly, this video does not mention the fact that people not on American soil could also apply for the H1B lottery which contributes further to the low rate. \n\nComparing pays between companies was ridiculous in this video's context. Google L3 in America should be compared with Google L3 in Canada, which are not very different in pay, after adjusting for the cost of living.\n\nIn terms of the country cap, just because some countries happen to have more people than other countries, it's not America's problem to solve; America has to do what is in the best interest of America. In this case, America simply decided to prioritize diversity in yearly admittees.

I’ve been to the U.S a couple of times, not in the last 15 years though. The times that I went I really enjoyed it and found people to be very friendly. Americans that I have gotten to know who live here in Canada or have been visiting, I have also found to be quite friendly.\n\nAs I type this you are talking about the importance of making sure you move to an area in the U.S where there are like minded people, like mined political views etc. that’s such a strange concept as a Canadian, because we don’t really have to think about that in terms of where we would live in Canada. \n\nMaybe you should come and visit us here in Canada? There could be certain limitations that you have become used to living in the U.S that you might start to see more clearly when those limitations are not there.

I'd like to make it clear that most Americans I've met are wonderful people. I'm a creative professional, I can see being tempted by a high paying gig, but several of the points raised here I agree with. I've got diabetes, and insulin prices alone would bankrupt me (that might have been fixed recently, but I have no idea whether that's been fixed by legislation). You mentioned it being safer in smaller towns, but was Columbine a big city? Uva!de Texas? Sandy Hook? Some of my favorite places in the world to visit are in the USA, but staying? Sorry, but not likely.
