As an American im proud of trump standing up for us and no longer allowong us to get taken advantage of. Countries are mad that they have to pay more instead, of expecting us to pay for them. Too bad, so sad. Us paying part of everyones share HAS been hurting us. The other country will just feel the pain as well instea dof feeling peace as we pay their price.

I am Canadian, I am proud of our PM. we should boycott American products and stop traveling to US.

Trump and MAGAism won't last for ever. The real problem is that the longer this madness continues, the longer the US will take to get back it's power and influence. The rest of the world understands that the problem comes from an incapable and illiterate leader but it also understands that this could happen again. America might take decades to regain trust. The longer MAGA dominates the American people then the longer it will take America to rise back to it's former status. It is so very tragic. When America rises from the fire, and it will rise , it will be a phoenix of pride and right, but it will be a proud and righteous bird with one wing.

Aside from this being how a world leader should speak & act, everything Prime Minister Trudeau spoke about is true. I'm Canadian. And in my 50s. We've always tended to joke back and forth about stereotypes from our countries. I've always felt we looked up to American ideals ideas and this is why we felt strong to stand with America with many things. I've sometimes not been happy with our Prime Minister but he left a mark, and I'm proud our country is more united but I'm sad at what cost. I hope this is short lived.. I'm an 80 year old Navy veteran and I am ashamed to be an American. My wife and I walked out of a concert a week ago when the band started playing Proud to be an American. Americans are oblivious to the shit storm coming our way. They thought the economy was bad based on egg prices of $5 a dozen. You ain't seen nothing yet.

Under normal circumstances I would be the last person to support our Liberal party; especially Trudeau. His past record speaks for itself. However, his talk today to the American people and Trump actually made me feel proud to be a Canadian.
