lol...I left Canada 12 years ago...Canada is not moving forward, very little industries to choose, very little roles and positions to offer, the work culture is slow, lazy and dumb in general. Cost of living and tax is high. The government is not open to welcoming more outside investment or allow more companies into Canada. \nAnd having Trudeau as the PM makes everything just worse... \n\nThe only reasons I would go back to Canada, for a vist only, is because of the fresh air and trees and quietness. And maybe some food that I like...and to see my family. But that's all.....I moved back to Hong Kong, and then explored opportunities in mainland China as well. Honestly, after my experience back in Hong Kong it felt like Canada is at least 20 years behind. And after exploring mainland China, it feels like Canada is 40 years behind. \n\nSo yea, no plans to move back to Canada.....because even elderly homes in China now provides really high quality service compare to the ones offered in Canada, you would feel like the Canadian elderly homes are a prison for old people.

Born in Toronto but I had to get out. Not just TO but all of Canada is broken. The cost of living, rentals, food, the educational system and hospitals are all government run and horrible. No options. What I find annoying is how dumb these guys are, coming in public to say this non-sense and still stay. He only focused on differences in work-life balance, salary comparison and racial bias but he failed to mention differences in insecurity, basic living facilities; health, electricity, rule of law, working government. I am Canadian and from the Atlantic province Newfoundland and they don’t care here and they make a lot dumb laws like not to far they made a speed bump in a road when there is no need for one but near a school where there is almost 200 people next to busy mall and road and this can make a problem people can DIE but they don’t care they just make dumb chooses like that speed bump like I have said before

I am an American. I am looking to relocate to Canada because of the bad experiences I have had as a California Licensed Structural Engineer with 25+ years of experience. This US license is really difficult to obtain because the exam has a 25% pass rate. In California, it is much tougher because of the earthquakes the state experiences.\n\nInstead of being treated with respect for having this Structural Engineer License, I have been treated badly by structural engineering firms in the US. In the US, you can be fired for no reason at all. They use Performance Improvement Plans to lay me off because I am much smarter than the people I work with. Licensed Structural Engineers do not have job security - so expect to work only a few months.\n\nIn the US, you will have a job for 4 months because your boss has decided to hire someone cheaper and give himself a raise. This happened to me at the City and County of Denver.\n\nLicensed Structural Engineers do not have job security at all because employers do not care about their employees. With workplaces like that, the US is not the place to be. American is not the greatest nation when you have morons like Harry Dunn and Lloyd Christmas from the movie Dumb and Dumber running things! Americans are downright stupid! That is why I am considering relocating to Canada.\n\nI started taking structural engineering courses at the University of British Columbia so I could better myself and get some Canadian experience. The canadians are as cold as their weather...poor guy got rejected after such a DUMB MOVE .Generally speaking living in the US is way easier than in Canada ,where you have to be a genius (overqualified) to get almost any decent job.Not to mention the brutal winters (except vancouver) Only 2 good things about canada : it's healthcare and safety . Much easier to have a comfortable life in the US despite being undocumented .You just have to keep a low profile and be a law abiding citizen.The american economy is simply the BIGGEST in the planet .So many businesses : someone will give you a chance ...as simply as that !
