There are no winners in a trade war. True. Look at history. So sorry about this decision by Trump. This is a very clear speech. May the United States powers that be reconsider this current tariff and fentanyl issues. As an American citizen I wish to work with Canadians and your government. Generations of common goals and friendship need to be upheld. My wish is for reconciliation.

Donald Trump is mentally deficient. Americans should withdraw all aid to the Republican Party especially Donald Trump. He has either succumb to dementia and Alzheimer’s, or he is compromised by Russia. Either way he needs to be impeached and convicted with a message to JD Vance that he’ll be next if he doesn’t do better.

Canada shouldve been stopping immigrants and deadly drugs a long time ago. Now you want to respond! We lost too many Americans due to thay deadly drug. Hudreds of thousands of americans, including my brother. So to hell wtih Canada and there tarrifs. We dont need there products. Americans, stand stong and weather the storm. Canada will bow down. USA WILL NEVER BOW DOWN!

First economic war then a military invasion. I believe the Americans are setting the stag for a ground invasion of Canada using the escalating trade war as a pretext for a real war. I think everyone needs to consider the possibility that Trump may in fact be an agent of Russia with a single mission to bring down the USA and her allies.

I have never felt more proud to be a Canadian, it’s a good feeling, I was almost brought to tears earlier thinking about it. And it’s interesting to note that it is overriding the fear of the consequences of Donald’s actions. Here’s where I can’t help but think of you, our fellow North Americans. The pride in my country is keeping me going. My heart is crushed thinking that you do not have that. But you need to do everything you can to keep it. It’s what the Donald and his cronies are counting on. Unfortunately, he does not care about you. He wants to crush you. He does not care about America and what it stands for. He only cares about himself. If you do not have the fight that comes from being proud of your country, you guys are gonna be easy pickings. Do everything you can to find pride in your country. We need you to fight. We need you at our side. We are with you. We will always be with you.

I’m an American and I just want to apologize to Canada. You have always been a good neighbor and a friend. You don’t deserve this. The Donald Trump version of America has shown that its treaties and its word are meaningless by betraying its own agreements with you. I am truly sorry. And I urge you to do what you need to do to protect yourself. The truth is that the America we all once knew, the one I grew up in, is gone.

As an American, let me respond with, I don't need anything Canada is exporting. Pretty sure this will hurt Canadians far more than it's gonna hurt Americans. For those of you on here that might not grasp the situation, Canada has a higher value of exports into America than America has exports into Canada by over $100 Billion. Good Luck Canada.
