Canadian here with what I hope is a level headed view.\n\nI would say that the biggest issue and problem is to be laid at the Liberal Party's feet. Both Canadians and Indians are Pawns in a political game of Chess. Trudeau and his administration are using the Imagination community for votes. This also means that so as not to offend Immigrants new to the country, Canadian ways, traditions, lifestyles, ect. are targeted by the Liberal government.\n\nAs an example, If I went anywhere in the Middle East, I would be expected to respect and adhere to the laws and traditions of the country I am in. BUT, here in Canada, it is becoming no longer acceptable to celebrate our heritage, traditions or even holidays as it might offend Immigrants.\n\nThat's an idea as to the bigger picture.\n\nThe smaller picture is stupid things like an Immigrant the his or her diet doesn't allow the ingestion of Pork/Ham/Bacon.... but say orders a Bacon Cheese Burger then makes a scene because he or she isn't allowed to eat pork... and eventually is given the meal for free. Or in one case the restaurant offered to pay for the entire meal in which the 5 immigrants at the table drank $350 in Alcohol. Yes I have witnessed both. \n\nThere are also cultural issues which cause friction. The language barrier being one major. Especially when an Immigrant tries to claim he or she cannot speak the English or French but holds a valid Driver's license. The license could not be held if the individual doesn't speak English or French. \n\nRegardless, individual issues are small when confronted with a government that treats everyone as Pawns.

I thought for a second that one of you finally got it but NO ! America is a continent, not a country, stop calling United Statiens, Americans ! The name of your country is the United States, making it's citizens United Statiens. US of A is short for The United States of the continent of America. And don't get me started on the stupid term that Murika created so they could keep being racist and that is African American, Again, like America, Africa is a continent with many countries on it and I refuse to use a stupid term invented by racists. I know Australia and Canada sort of exchange populations/workers fairly easily, I know some Lads I worked with in the Mines working at Rio Tintos Diamond mines up near Yellowknife and also some driving long distance Trucks in Canada so Australia might be an easy option but it has all the same problems as Canada ie a Globalist Tyrannical Government seemingly set on a plan to replace its native population with 3rd world slave workers (Like Rome did 2000 years ago right before it collapsed), High taxes, stupid housing prices and increasing crime from the recently imported slave populations.\nThere are several things that might make Australia's experience less a dramatic collapse than Canada's, The Australian Native population are more fighty or less agreeable than Canadians (higher testosterone) and less partial to totalitarianism, the Drug thing isnt legal here yet, a high amount of Migration is from North or South East Asia ie these populations are less criminal and more similar to the traditional European values Australia had ie hard work, low crime etc.\nMany Australians (mainly Men) are leaving for South East Asia where an absence of Civilization Destroying Feminism makes having a family and a future viable once again.\nGood luck with your search/adventure.

I don't know what the hell of all these laws where they found such laws on this planet. I bealive new immigrants needs to adopt Canadian Values and way of living. They see Canadá as we are so nice and stupid, taking advantage of public services. When you immigrate to a country you are curios and open to learn a new culture you are leaving your country because there is things that you don’t like and you see your self with the same values of other culture. Once you are in Canada you are evolving and adapting to new ideas, and methods of living, most important you are here to contribute to society and the economy by taking care of your self by working hard upgrading your skills, help others follow the rules. Not the opposite you don’t move to be taken care off by taking advantage of government programs, if you honestly and truly need the government help the program is there for you if not you have a moral responsibility to contribute to this country/ planet.

I tried to emigrate for years to Canada. I speak 9 languages, C1 (IELTS) and graduated as a French teacher in Albania and later Switzerland. Have a work experience in my field and are with my husband and child law abiding citizens. We tried for years and between IELTS tests and Credentials assessment it took a good chunk of our finances, yet we weren't deemed to be enough to emigrate to Canada. Even raised my child bilingual in English Albanian so she could adjust better and integrate. What kind of policies are these that repel people that are willing to integrate, that try to come there legally and respecting your laws and immigration programs and open the door to law breakers? I just wanted a simple life and a teaching job while holding the utmost respect for the people and the country. All this thing makes me sad, but also makes me feel stupid for wanting to do things legally or that i believed Canada was a country where law was respected.

They all immigrate to PEI because it is the quickest way to seek citizenship in the country, as soon as they gain it they move to Ontario. I have met many wonderful people from India through work and because of our government choosing to allow so many people over here without providing proper housing for not only the new immigrants, but also for our own native born citizens, there is nothing available at any decent price for young people like myself who want to move out from their parents homes. It's also causing a lot of people to be racist towards Indians when the fault truly lies in our government. And because we are allowing so many people over here without proper background checks and things such as that we are also allowing people over here that could pose a threat to women or others. I had a cab driver last week (who was from India) who tried to hit on me and told me he left India because he was getting into too many physical fights over in India and also told me he had gotten into physical fights with some of his customers as well. It was scary for me as a woman to be in a car with that man who was taking me to my home. The government needs to do better for us. We feel alone and ignored when it comes to this. The greed pushing this stupid, and not properly thought out, immigration policy needs to be put to an end so that the people who have lived here their whole lives can get a chance at life.

Canada is the most beautiful country in the world that’s its usp , again we Indians can learn something from Canada is the way they preserved their nature that is remarkable that gives them good oxygen rich air , water and hygiene that Indian people are far away or never witnessed in their life. We don’t have any greenery in our country we really need to work on improving that but neither the people nor the government is interested in making good changes or even have such idea in head ! Along with that Canada has strong tax system you really get tax return as well as strong labour protection act that guards its resident from exploitation and employees can sue the employer if exploitation is provable on table with facts. India doesn’t have any strong labour protection body this results even in corporate jobs you have to work more than 8 hours and no OT , plus Canada has EI (employment insurance) so that means is , if you loose your job for any reason you will get government assistance to help to pay your bills till you find your next job. Plus disability benefits , food banks , freedom to live your life the way you want, you can eat what you want, religion based stupidity doesn’t exist in that country. So yes it’s true I don’t like the Canadian PM either but overall Canada is really good country and we Indians can learn atleast some good things they carry and adapt to our country and make India bit better place to live. The moment some says truth we Indians start bashing and may say go to Canada but we don’t realize our own problems and don’t wanna work.

Canada is also a place where being a criminal is far more honorable and beneficial to local communities. Because that illegal money flows into local economies. Not to mention their medieval justice system, you can be charged for crimes based on some random persons complaint even if they're wrong, basically depending on your demographic you can have the system weaponized against you. No Canadian will take a macdonal job, not even teens, that is a fact. Another thing is that there is a shortage of high skill jobs, but most people has not that specific skill. Many provinces offer free training but only to Canadians, the ones that are not interested in this type of jobs. if there is 17000 positions that cannot be filled and 17,000 people unemployed it is i possible to use those unemployees to fill the open positions because they are not trained in that specific skill. Also companies ask stupid job requirements which make it more difficult.

Video titles like this are so stupid. Especially when in the video itself it speaks to the vacancy rate. Why is rent so high? Because the vacancy rate is so low which proves that A LOT of people want to live in Canada. The video itself speaks to NIMBYism and municipal government’s slow reaction to accommodate construction. The only thing the Feds did is to allow more people that want to be Canadians to have a chance. Low wages and the high cost of products are the fault of greedy corporations. Those people leaving and can no longer stay in Canada is the result of natural selection. I get that everyone is struggling, and feel that we need someone to blame. Since we can’t control our neighbours that stop progress and the corporations that gouge us, as a democracy, we go after what we do control- our government- even if the problem isn’t really of their creation. This issue of affordability is happening all over the world. Corporations and those who run them disproportionately keep all the money. But that doesn’t mean that Canada isn’t a great place to live and raise a family. It’s a huge country. The only thing the Feds can do is incentivize companies to set up shop in less desirable places and eleviate demand off of Vancouver and Toronto (the usual suspects and source for all those rental shortage b-rolls). Then, the neighbours in Moose Jaw will start complaining that their town is changing too fast.

Elections have consequences. The height of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome each time.

Let those 49k jobs be for legal brown, black and yellow immigrants and let those fruit picking and construction work be for barely legal immigrants… \nThis is why I am leaving Canada soon as I am fed up with this hypocrit and superficial culture that is obsessed with money and where u gotta work work work and get everything you saved to ou taxes!! Fed up with the lousy and inefficient Canadian healthcare and transportation system (Europe has a much better one for sure). The average 1 bedroom prives for toronto are $2100 per month.

I guess we did a right move. During the cold war we moved to Canada in Jan 1990 from former Czechoslovakia after spending almost 2 years in Austria to enjoy freedom. I remember renting a 3 bedroom apartment with 2 balconies in Brampton /ON for 360/M. In Mississauga 600/M for a 5 bedroom townhouse. Later on in Orangeville/ON I bought a fully detached house with a nice land with own swings and slides a swimming pool for 144 000.00. When the non stupidity in law started in 2002 we sold our house packed our things and went back to Europe. I always loved Canada as my second home but I guess the table has turned and we cherish freedom elsewhere. I am really sad about what's going on with Canada but it isn't really that hard to figure out why.

Im a Canadian citizen and I live in Canada for more than 30 years the problem in this country is the government system is not good this is a kind of communist system and it will get worse if the system in Canada is not changed and the thing about having Canadian experience this is a crap and this is a stupidity. People from Canada which they are born there and they have business there they have to allow people and to receive people with their work experience and they shouldn't discriminate other people this is a their mentality and needs to be changed. I am in Europe right now and I was surprised to see the news a few days ago what's happening in this country if the system in Canada is not changed Canada will be a very poor country that's the truth and that's what's going to be happen ?

One thing that makes me sick is that just down the road a lady had just passed away after renovating the whole house. The stupid council let these idiots move in and ripped the whole house of new stuff out and dumped it in a skip then started growing drugs. Luckily the 4 guys were arrested. 1) Toronto is poor value. Getting housing of any kind (buying or renting) is stupidly expensive. And the quality you get for the price is lousy. Especially the newer builds, which are just thrown up as quickly as possible and sold to investors. Policy measures generally all seem to serve to just inflate the price of housing further. The occasional lip service given to affordability is amusing, but ultimately sad. There are lots of people who really do not want the housing bubble to pop. They will fight against it with all they have.\n\n2) It has become kind of boring. There is lots to do if you have money, but it’s harder to find entertainment on a budget. Even the free stuff like parks are filling up. Stuff like sporting events, eating out, going out is very costly across the board. Even the “cheaper” stuff is expensive. It seems like a lot of local culture is disappearing. Even the cool neighbourhoods are filling up with the same chains. I think the high commercial rent and bureaucracy is deflating a lot of would-be entrepreneurs. Most landowners seem to just be banking on cashing out their land for condos.\n\n3) Canada overall has a high cost of living compared to salaries. In the US you can find lower cost of living areas that still give you a real city experience. And in Europe you can be poor but still live a decent, if no frills, life. In Canada the basic necessities are all expensive. Phone bills, grocery bills, rent, insurance are through the roof. Domestic travel is expensive. And the dollar sucks if you want to travel abroad. Health care is free but good luck finding a family doctor or waiting 8 hours in the ER these days. It’s expensive to be poor, or even middle class.\n\n4) Most of the Greater Toronto Area, outside the core, is soulless suburbs with awful transit - very “American” except with worse traffic congestion. You will need a car, which is another huge cost. Row upon row of old cookie cutter suburbs with the same crappy houses. Good luck walking anywhere, and if you do you will need to walk down boring, treeless arterial roads with cars zooming past right beside you, and cross giant eight lane intersections that were never built for humans on foot. In a rainstorm or on a fall evening you have to be really careful not to be run over by aggressive drivers.\n\n5) It is hard to raise a family in an apartment here. You can do it but it’s not very easy, and also you are still kind of judged for it. Lots of young people are feeling stuck and are deferring or avoiding starting a family. Buying any type of house, even a basic townhouse, requires pledging your soul to a bank by taking a massive mortgage with eye watering debt in a volatile market. But few apartment buildings have the kind of sensible gentle density, the family unit sizes and the common amenities, like little courtyards with jungle gyms, that you might find in Europe. No one ever contemplated that anyone would ever desire to raise kids in an apartment. It’s just a cultural thing that has worked its way into how things are planned and designed.\n\n6) The transit system is ok by North American standards but awful by international standards. There are only two real subway lines, one stub line, one line that is permanently out of service after a derailment, and another line that was supposed to open a couple years ago but still has no date for opening. The subways go out of service frequently, sometimes for the dumbest reasons, and then it is a zoo of shuttle buses. The streetcars are nice but so slow. The buses are fine if you find yourself dreaming about riding a daily herky jerky rolling tin of sardines. They are building a lot of transit but it will take decades to get done.\n\n7) There is still a lot of cool multiculturalism and opportunities to experience different foods and cultures - one of the best things about Toronto. Increasingly though it seems to be losing the fun vibe of the 90s, when everyone celebrated each other’s backgrounds and was chill. It seems the immigration is not as broad based anymore and also people are importing a lot of their “old country” grievances here. The immigration system also kind of preys on people abroad by selling them a false fairy tale, so they end up dejected when they arrive and see how things really are.\n\n8) This one might be controversial but it’s kind of an ugly city. There’s nothing particularly of historical meaning or value. Some of the older neighbourhoods are kind of nice, but the last 25 years they have only built giant glass skyboxes, one after another. There aren’t the cool “missing middle” walkups like in NY, Chicago or Montreal (or even LA). There are very few buildings with much architectural character. Some of the buildings they deem “heritage” here are an embarrassment.\n\n9) For safety, honestly on this score I think Toronto is not bad. There are not too many real “ghettos” and it’s night and day compared to much of the US. With that said, there is more vagrancy and social issues these days, with tents and such. It’s very sad but the shelters are full, lots of homeless go into the libraries, parks and transit system. It does make it harder to enjoy these public amenities safely. It is nowhere close to Europe where you might let your kids run free around town. Canadian parents still helicopter their kids and the place again is not designed to really be safe for kids, in the same way as Europe.\n\n10) Finally, a bit of a double edged sword. Toronto had a lot of youthful energy - people coming here from all over. It is definitely not as sleepy as many parts of the world. With that said, it is becoming a bit of a transient place (minus the world class experiences like London or NY). If you are from elsewhere you might find it hard making and keeping friends. I’ve seen lots of people struggle because it’s is hard to build a strong social network. We have a very “shallow” culture here - people are extremely polite but not overly warm and hospitable. We treat one another kind of like neighbours - meaning we’d like to have a cordial, drama-free coexistence and otherwise kind of stick to ourselves.
