for those who say i the coments that a country needs to be monoethnic to be safe one question remains. How do legal migrants who go to work there make the country unsafe? I'm portuguese, we have many people from different ethnicities, and we are the 4th safest country in the world. You don't need to be monoethnic to be safe. In our case it would be historically innacurate with all the portuguese speaking countries around the world that have adopted most traces of the portuguese culture. Our country hasn't been monoethnic since the 1600s. One thing is not wanting illegals to cross easily another one is the blatant hatred and discrimination that I see in the comments.

Everyone leaving, just be aware of the impact you are having on the country and community you are moving to. Don't run away from the problems of your homeland/Canada, just to become a systemic problem in another country/community, especially if you're moving to developing countries.

Fix your own country instead of being a burden to another\nOr they can to muslim countries were they will welcome . \nStop trying to impose Islam in Europe .\nIsrael have been warning us for a couple of decades now

That is sad news in some way but it is your decision and your decision alone. With all your travel experience in the world I do not doubt for a moment that you will not rebuild your live elsewhere. Make a pitstop in the Netherlands some day, not Amsterdam ( yes Schiphol airport is located there ) but other very interesting places to visit, we have a lot to offer. Yes we are small but very successful in what we do. Nothing is perfect but I will never leave my country to permanent settle to another country. Maybe travel for a longer time or rent a nice place near the mountains somewhere but permanent settling no, things are very well arranged in my country, with top 10 passport strength if you will ? Canada is on my bucketlist as I told earlier. But as a tourist I will not feel the problems Canadians have these days, I pitty for them, so sad. Love your channel and I wish you luck making you next movements! ???

I came to Calgary in 1983, and since then, I've seen Canada change for the better and worse. I moved back to my native country of Malaysia in 1997 and lived and worked there until 2012. I can honestly say that my native country is so much cheaper to live. I don't need to wait months to see a specialist and wait over an hour to see my family doctor despite already booking an appointment. Doctors just want to get you out of their office fast so they can see more patients. Got a second health concern, well, book another appointment. What a joke! In Malaysia, I can get full body check-ups, including x-ray, ECG, and blood work, including results the same day. What's the use of free health care if the service takes donkey months? I've decided to move back to Malaysia in about two year's time and enjoy the warm weather and cheaper cost of living. Canada is a GREAT country, but the elected government just screwed things up. Will miss the Calgary Stampede for sure.

I left Canada at the end of last year. After years of busting my butt and trying to get ahead, i wasn't going anywhere. \nThe job that i had worked at for years decided to outsource my entire team to another country and i was left with a decision to try and atart from scratch or atart fresh elsewhere. \nSo i booked a flight to Thailand and i spent three months there. While going on a border run to get a visa extension, i went to Cambodia. It was just a short trip, but it keftnits mark on me and ive been here for almost six months now. \nI didnt like how i felt back in Canada and i didnt like what i was seeing the countey become. Instead i ended up in a country that had been through one if the worst thjngs imaginable and the people were the most lively and welcoming that I've ever met. They decide to put light into the world and that resonates with me. \nGood luck with your next chapter. Change can be great. Its also easier to adapt when you find a place you love

Over 9 minutes in, and you haven't said if or where you have moved. I am moving myself to another video.

That's the polities way of saying Canada really sucks lately. Another note, makes no sense why the CDN dollar value is so high considering the country is so unproductive and produces very little.
2024-08-14 0
Hi Alina, yes I think most people must been kept in so much suspense and perhaps many like me must have move forward hoping the answer is there somewhere towards the end of your video. I perfectly understand what you say about Canada. I think it is largely due to really poor and incompetent leadership and to some extent, a lack of independence to do what is best for Canada instead of another country. Whichever country you choose, I wish you all the very best for a happy and more fulfilled future. I think you are moving to New Zealand although we would love to have someone like you in our country China. Catch you in the next.

I don't see how collapsing the infrastructure is helping anybody. If there's no room, there's no room. Out of the 8 billion people on the planet, something like 6.5 billion live in developing nations. Canada has 40 million people. When is it too many? Another 40 million? A billion?

The actual moral of the story: tolerance and strategic plan on location whenever immigranting to another land as a Muslim

Racism is a cultural poison based on the basal ganglia fear of outsiders (xenophobia). The cure is introducing children to foreign languages/culture from an early age, hopefully the kids can mix with other kids speaking another language.

The employment reservoir of Germany ist huge. 3Mio in so called Arbeitslosengeld/Unemployment salary and another +4 Mio in so called Bürgergeld/Migration salary. Tendency is further increasing. Once this number passes the million 10 mark something will change.

The country needs to spend 92.5 billion dollars to solve the housing crisis in Toronto. That would build 250,000 homes. Spread the cost over 5 years, build around Barrie, Georgina, Beaverton, and Uxbridge. Spend another 90 billion on railways to those areas. Hire 50/50 local to immigrant worker.
2024-08-13 0
Great to see vice making another unbiased video.
2024-08-13 3
hmm yes, another 1 MILLION immigrants a year will solve this.
2024-08-13 0
I think that learning the laguage is essential when you want to live in another country.
2024-08-13 0
Another big issue I've heard is people's family not being allowed to join them. Parents and such. Even if they do have the funds to self-sustain themselves
2024-08-13 0
What a Stupid video these people are not poor at all and I don’t have any sympathy for these people \nThey are going to another country like it’s nothing wtf it is no one’s responsibility to take care of them period . They are illegals thts it

I am also from turkiye, and just completed my 3 years in germany. I won't wait to get permanent residency(which is taking almost 1 year these days) and looking for another role in other countries.

so basically don't come, if you have to come, make german as stepping stone to move on to another foreign workers friendly country

another loop hole is just showing up to Canada and asking for political Asylum.

Another consideration is Billionaires? Why Billionaires? Western military dominance of oil fields yet you’re paying higher prices rising? Wealthiest countries in yet paying more for foods yet ruling by billions in military? \nMake it make sense? You should benefit from military dominance? Hmmm ?

I saw another comment saying that she’s the underwriter for a mortgage company. She has the money, but knows the law and doesn’t want to pay.

Since Trudeau took power the population of Canada went from 35 to 41 million or 6 million people. That is more than the population of BC or Alberta. Has Canada built another BC or Alberta in terms of housing and infrastructure in the last 9 years? Quick answer is no. No one hates immigration, but it has to be done at a sustainable level. What he has done to this country is criminal.
2024-08-13 0
Not migration, its invasion. When you enter another country and fly your flag, you have no intention of assimilation.

I m working as an ICU Nurse here in Germany since 2013 and i want to apply in a Shoe store just to prevent having a burn out in the hospital and just want to do another job. Unfortunately i was declined because i don't have Ausbildung als Verkäufer.

Germans need to understand they need the skilled workers and not the other way around. \nAnyway another great job at whitewashing the problems by DW!
2024-08-13 0
Skilled immigrants leaving and peaceful immigrants outnumbering locals. Sounds like Germany is going to find another moustache man to solve this.

There is another side to it different from the economics. It's called German bureaucracy.

I am a designer and artist who moved to Saxony to reunify with family. I can say, being here for 3 years, it is VERY difficult to find a job in your profession when you do not speak the language. I am not a blue card holder, but my partner is. Despite our financial situation not being a dire one, I still look forward to integrating well in the job market and contributing my expertise + passion in the local society. \n\nI spent around 1.5 year reaching B1 level German (+including the waiting time for german tests, orientation course test and test scores etc.) Even with this B1 knowledge, you cannot communicate in a professional setting, more is needed. I also spent another half year time contacting our local Agency for Work, and experienced discrimination from their consultation service, a long waiting time and no assistance at the end. \n\nIt has been quite a discouraging journey, especially for someone who has high motivation to work and contribute. My current options are looking for jobs in Berlin, English speaker environments like Burger King etc. In my personal case, it has largely affected my confidence and enthusiasm for living in this country.

Hey! I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada, population around 1.2 million. We have a huge awesome river and river valley that is utilized year round. There are non stop festivals, right now we have the Cari West the largest Caribbean festival in western Canada. Our tap water is amazing, my daughter rents the main floor of a renovated house that includes a garage for 1,400 a month. Gorgeous south side neighbourhood within walking distance to anything. Lots of imperfections as it is a big city and yes there is crime but it does not define what I do and where I go except possibly late at night. The cold in the winter is tolerable for the most part but that doesn’t stop any one from outdoor activities. Just put your warm clothes on and just get out there. I get fed up with winter when it drags on but all of a sudden we’ve been having record breaking heat this summer so I am looking forward to Autumn. We’re 4 hours from the fabulous Rocky Mountains and the wonderful city of Calgary is about an hour 1/2 from there. Alberta is my province and Edmonton is my home. The rest of Canada varies from one province to another. PS. We’ve travelled to various locations in the U.S. and were always treated well and enjoyed our visits, just sayin!

Hey, look. Another story purporting to be about Canada, but is just another story about Toronto and ignoring the rest of the country.
2024-08-12 0
One in four Canadians, and growing are living below the poverty line or homeless in such a traditionally stable and wealthy country, which indicates one thing, the country is broken and has been mismanaged or deliberately ruined by corrupt politicians and political parties. Bringing in migrants with little capital or skills just exasperated the problems and needs to be stopped before Canada becomes another Western failed state.

We are at war. We are being invaded. By people that don't share our ideals, or even learn to speak our language. (Try doing that in their countries)\nBut the biggest part is, they want to make our country just like the places they've fled from. If it's so great there, why did you leave?\nIf I move to another country, I will have to assimilate. But for some reason, the West has to adapt to everyone else?\nThe double standard and hypocrisy make no sense, as usual. But we're not supposed to ask questions. We're just supposed to feel guilty for being alive.\nWe are in 1984.

I know, what I am about to say isn't easy to swallow. Because I also understand how prevailing sentiments of fear are, when it's easier to blame another group for our shortcomings. Problem is we don't get to choose who comes into Canada, but we are perfectly accountable for whom we vote. Who we vote responsible in the end for policies that make or break a Country. They draft 5-10-20 years road maps for a Country's growth, the trace demographic's trend, births, jobs creations etc etc. They are responsible to understand Economics factors and how they are interwoven into Global trenches. Furthermore they are responsible to manage money budget and spending but above all control waste. I mean Canada became an Global Oil dominator second only to Saudi and we blame migrants? Sounds to me we should kick someone's teeth in, but that ain't my neighbour Cheng or Abhuoul. BTW I was born in the late 70's from Italian migrants, came back again in 95. I left a dead Canada in early 2000 and never looked back.

To answer the question with another question, why do you think that adding 10 million immigrants to a country with a relatively small population in just 11 years was going to turn out well? \n\n10 million is roughly one-third of what Canada's population was 11 years ago. It is one-quarter of today's population. How was this not going to cause housing shortages and stress the social/health and education systems, overcrowd schools, and clog roads and public transport? How was it not going to grow homelessness and tent cities?\n\n10 million in 11 years were simply too many people in too short a time period. One has to ask whether this was deliberate or whether the federal government is lacking in powers of reasoning. I suspect both.

airline usually pick pretty lady, not about education/wealth background. so attendant from third world country do have high potential to stay.\nbut usually they do have some english speaking ability and should be able to find another job easily.\nwhat the real problem is usually 1 person = 1 family (they usually ask for family reunion, and thats where our tax/benefit balance tipping over)

40 to 50 hours a week? I work that in Australia as an Australian. Indian universities aren't necessarily recognised overseas. Even then I've worked with many as engineers and got uber rides from many just as an example. Different cultural system. This is just my personal experience. \n\nYou have to remember that India has been studied as on of the most intolerant countries in the world. I've never got that impression from the majority of other nationalities I've worked with. Even had and engineer quit on his first ay because he couldn't accept another Indian as his superior. ?‍♂️ why?\n\nIm just saying. You can look up the worldwide studies that rank India so high for intolerance easily. These are large surveys. \n\nEnd of the day when you have large immigration spikes without infrastructure it is doomed and you will get a lot of misplaced hatred towards immigrants as low to middle class locals rents/ house prices explode. Not to mention the low skilled jobs that immigrants will do cheaper. \n\nImmigration is a cheap way for developed countries to increase GDP. Without planning and proper direction it will always fail on the whole. \n\nIm happy to debate my opinion with anyone. We all need a better approach.

Turkey has a longer land border with EU country, Bulgaria than Greece. Yet almost all illegal migrant flows from Turkey are deliberately directed towards Greece only. The journalist did NOT wobder or investigate why?\nBS Journalism.\nTurkey over the years has directly or indirectly earned billions and billions as an illegal international human trafficking hub. How cone illegal migrants from ALL OVER and all directions..from Bangladesh to Lebanon, from Morocco to Nigeria and Somalia, all sonehow end up in Turkey trying to cross over to Greece. Why they end up in Turkey to cross over to Greece and not another non-EU country, closer to their end destination in western Europe, i.e\nLet's say Albania, Bosnia etc. The Journalist did not wonder how come and investigate?\nBS Journalism...
