Canada has very high tax with little work opportunity. Canada is only attractive for third world countries who wants to live in a decent society. But sadly they bring the same hell from which they come from and bring different values which are not secular or liberal. Sooner or later it will be a mess like UK or Sweden, where a different society will demand their religious ways. And Canada is just allowing them without the bother of integration. \nBeing a former Pakistani, who is liberal, I can tell you that most of the people do not have any intention of integration. Sadly the same is going on in Australia now.

Im Canadian and I think the US is awesome. I have a handful of friends that moved south and they all love it there. Long ago my grandparents wintered in Florida and they LOVED it. Sure you have more crime but you have a hell of a lot more people so that's a wash in my book. We've visited and always enjoyed your country and people. Canada has changed drastically over the last decade, and not for the better. I really don't see a big difference. My 2 cents

Why does Canada need Immigration? The Gap between Canadians who are retiring and those who are in the workforce (and hence are paying taxes) or are supposed to enter is increasing. There are more Canadians retiring than those working. Result? The Canadian government has less tax revenue (and perhaps more expenditure as a result of Increased pensions etc.). So now, either the government has to Increase Taxes (More taxes? Hell no!!) or bring in New Immigrants to increase the tax-paying workforce of the Canadian Economy. Hence, immigrants are needed and the political parties including Conservative, Liberal, NDP, etc. know this and are inviting immigrants in record numbers. The issue is too much red tape in Building housing options in Canada, not immigrants

Canada is not livable anymore. For new immigrants it can be only bypass country. Live in Canada for 3 years, apply citizenship and get Canadian passport on 4th year of stay and move to USA. Settling down in Canada will be huge mistake for any new immigrants, life will be depressive hell paying overpriced mortgages & high taxes but in return get substandard education & health system…

Immigrants? Hell many Canadians are leaving. We made this move last year. Cost was only one of many factors but almost all factors are related to the current government completely screwing up the country, it’s social and economic fabric and it’s previously lauded freedoms that are barely freedoms now that they he government has started breaking those as well. They are considered privileges now. Such a shame.

the thing with canada is that, they have also tried to differentiate themself as somehow more noble and wiser, and more progressive than their southern neighbor United states. ? canada is even more weird in that they are quiet about it and will ice you out. What's happened to Toronto is what has happened to the world. It is unreasonable to take in the world. Look at Vancouver-- looks like a dying American city. Cities in general are a hell hole-- no longer cool, no longer safe, no longer affordable, no longer livable, declining opportunity. I lived in Toronto for 58 years and escaped to a quality environment north of the city-- the small towns I used to look down on when I felt so proud of Toronto are laughing at you now. You need atleast a million dollars to buy a house...if you go with mortgage lets say you need 700k cash.... adding let say 50 k for emergencies that makes it 750k ...who the hell would come to canada with that money and start fresh? Housing, taxes, insurance, inflation, low paying jobs and freezing temperatures it all adds up.....
