it amazes me how little human beings can care about each other. it breaks my heart to see a man who wants to provide for his family be turned away and thought of as a criminal because he escaped a country riddled with murder. documented or not they deserve better. most undocumented immigrants don’t come here to commit crimes or steal your jobs, they come here for refuge. undocumented immigrants don’t even qualify for welfare programs and continue to pay taxes. the alternative, legal immigration, can take up to 15-30 years of them living in constant fear of death. they are humans and we should treat them as such

A lot of people comment about how illegal immigration is ok, and blah blah blah. It's simple to say that when you don't feel the direct impact. Change the US as a country to your house. Now let's say the neighbors land Lord is beating the shit outta everyone in that household (play on the violence that's happening in country of orgin). One of then move into your house without letting you know beforehand (illegals). Let's say you don't mind and understand why they did so. Now they work hard around the house and get a job to spend for themselves and send money next door to the family still left behind. . But they don't have to pay for electricity, gas (aka taxes). And since you own a 3 bed room house, things don't change that much. Now 2 more of the neighbors flee because of the asshole land Lord. Now you have to start working slightly harder to pay for your utilities aka taxes. Now you start seeing how more people affect your household. Now even more people flee the next door neighbors and you work even harder for utilities plus your trash is overflowing, have to invest in larger trash cans, fix the doors or ascetic's(pipes, faucets, tubs etc) in your house from over use or mismanagement. Plus you have to start driving their kids to school, you have to get a bigger vehicle (that's a play on the education systems bloating classroom problems)spend more on gas and car maintenance, and since they all don't speak English, to have to spend money on making signs to inform them of the house rules and dangers. You have to invest time out of your schedule to inform them how things work in your house hold because at their house they walked around naked or shit with the door open (play on different societal norms or religions) and may even have to alter your rules as not to impose and anger them. Know the house is over filled and they expect you to buy a bigger house (play on the welfare state)I mean I can go on... But people reading this can get the drift. Point is, yes i understand that people want a better life and all immgration in not necessarily evil, but you can't just let anyone come in because you feel bad. Making change based off emotions of a few is detrimental to the whole.

Bout time people see America isn't the big bad wolf everyone thinks. America and its people are pretty fucking relaxed about immigration compared to lots of other places.

15 years in the United States and he doesn't speak English and he can't figure out why he's not getting Asylum... So he comes to the United States illegally and then he goes to Canada illegally... oh yeah and it still doesn't speak English and drives a brand new car like most illegal immigrants... there is racism and prejudice everywhere. on every level no matter gender, race, religion, culture. etc. no matter where you go. but if these guys take a trip to any of those corrupted third world backwards countries they would see how good they really have it. us foolish americans canadians dont know how good we have it. we are living in the freest country nation and society ever seen in the history of the world. at least our country creates new laws every year to make our people feel safe. but other islamic countries continue following laws made in the 15th century. do you see and appreciate the difference.\n\nsure people will label you based off your skin tone and your demeanor. WE NEED TO PUT OUR NATIONS CULTURES first. and thats what we have to teach everyone. we put our canada america pride priority and whatever culture we came from LAST. THATS WHY its best we learn to fix our people in a whole in our country before bringing in anymore foreigners who do not respect our nation. lets stop third world immigration and work on making our country great again. so we can stop all this crime in our neighborhoods. because it hinders our progress. once every race color ethnicity of people are acting right then we will have no prejudice based off color or even gender because everyone is giving everyone respect. but because CRIME IS HIGH in all foreign races, and we continue to disrespect eachother. nobody feels safe anymore. whether your light skinned white or black.

I'm really torn on this issue. On one hand I see the pain and suffering splitting up families causes, but that wouldn't happen if they entered the country legally. Let's not forget these people no matter how well intentioned they are in emigrating they broke US immigration laws.

Americans have no idea how coniving amd evil leaders in other countries can be. Just the other day, a dictator from eritrea was bargaining prices with Israel to send back refugees from his country. He said the refugees fleeing his regime should be given 50k to be deported from isreal because they risked their lives. You would think he really meant that right? As soon as those refugees come back hes taking that money and sending them to a forced slavery like military program. There is no such thing as human rights. So if you were in such a dire situation, dont you think you would do anything to get out? The only solution i see is if the entire world could be under a larger, strong governing force that keeps leaders in check and can withold vital resources from offenders. The UN isnt cutting it.

The fact that developed countries are starting to close off their borders to low skilled immigration for lack of resources and employment could be a sign of the times and automation will eventually take over. What's next? Start thining the herd of low skilled workers at home by making homelessness a crime? Bringing back coal alone cannot save the US. Well have to wait and see.

As a older Canadian born and bred, but now in Europe because of marriage, I can see things farther toward the wall than most of you perhaps in Brandon, Thunder Bay, Charlottetown, Whitby, Kamloops, Red Deer, etc. This is extremely dangerous. A few muslims are o.k., as they may assimilate to Canadian values of 'PEACE, ORDER, and GOOD GOVERNMENT'. Yet most do not wish to assimilate, only to remain who they are, ungrateful of the bounty Canada offers them, and holding values against those our country has always promulgated. We have separation of church and state in Canada, and fought very hard for it, with a history of bloody wars in Europe to show for it. It is repulsive how we are allowing a bleeding of immigrants into our country who do not believe in our basic creed. This is not racial. This is not hate-based or prejudice. It is simply defending our creed as a country, from wherever you are, and whomever you are. Canada is worth defending. Where are the feminists on this? Why are you not defending Canada is this debate?

Islam is a vile, pernicious ideology that has considerably eroded the quality of life in all Western countries it has come in contact with. It has led to the mass rape of local children (think Britain and Australia), terrorism, and general disdain toward non-believers. At the very least, even if the majority of Muslims are moderate (and numerous polls have shown otherwise), they exhibit disproportionately high unemployment rates and are significant recipients of welfare relative to other groups, so I certainly do not see any economic rationale behind mass Muslim immigration either. We must stop importing Islam into our great nation before it is too late. I commend the few politicians who have had the common sense and audacity to speak out in this regard.

I don't see why Canadians must learn about slavery in that country. I mean, if 4% of the population is black and many of them are immigrants from the Caraïbe. What is the point? They live in Canada. Another thing, black Canadians are really sensitive for no reason. Compared to other countries in the Americas, they have it better.
