I’m a little late to this video but have a lot to say. As a Canadian of Indian descent, I have always avoided Brampton. There is a stark difference between Indians from Brampton and those of us that are from other cities. This situation is out of control mainly due to JT but also colleges that have setup feeder international schools that cater just to Indian students. I’d imagine Chinese students have something similar to this as well, they’re just more quiet. \n\nA lot of the comments come off as offensive but it is what it is, There are too many of my ethnic people here and they’re not assimilating let alone intending to do so. Chain migration is another problem as it brings in an older generation that has no desire to learn English. Crime is having a runaway effect because of the environment they come from, fights break out at intersections, parking lots, backyards, front yards, etc. This is reckless and embarrassing for all Indians, especially us Punjabis. This goes unreported because of how vindictive these people are because of whichever town/city they came from. There are also rumours that these female students are home wreckers so there’s another layer. \n\nMy solution: \n1) Stop immigration, these people are giving our entire community a bad rep when we’ve worked so hard to get to where we are in this country. Return to skills based immigration, not WEF-based. \n2) Cap the international student populations tied to the census - this opens up opportunities for international students from ALL countries and walks of life. \n3) International students cannot be allowed to work - Canadian students First, Canada First. \n4) After graduation, give students 1 year to find a job in their field of study. If they can’t find one, send them back and learn skills and then that’s their only back to Canada. \n5) if they do make it to immigration, we need a better system than just a simple memorization test - have them demonstrate their command of the English language, look at their value added and potential for the future. \n6) Conservatives need to be a part of the solution. A lot of the comments are just complaints and complaining will get these folks voting red vs voting blue each and every time. That guy commenting about no temples in Timmins will just push these people to the liberals and this is what JT is counting on. We need to show these folks what being Canadian is about so that they leave Brampton and assimilate. I’ve introduced countless folks to Pierre and have changed their outlooks, y’all need to do the same. Show them that they’re being used by the liberals and that’ll get them going, cause no one wants to be used. \n\nAs always, TNC reports it as it is and that’s what I’m here for. Thank you!

On top of that they breed 8-10 children, 1 person works in a family unit, collect government assistance and speak no to little English.

The worse part is that east Indian's purchase all the businesses and then fire the white people. My 7-11 was staffed with white and philipino, than a new east indian manager took over, he would write the staff up for every little issue than fire them and now the whole staff is east indian, they never hire any other race i dont know how they get away with it. I only half agree with him at this point. We've overwhelmed ourselves to the point that allowing for further immigration will only cause further problems. We need to actually cut it off and breathe. Even with the previous method, we need to go back to it in the future, but that would be 5 to 10 years down the road. We need to be selfish for a little while and actually become a better country. Now we're just trying to imitate the states.

This is shallow reporting. Enclaves were present for every wave of immigration. China towns, little Italies, French quarters, etc, etc. The Indian enclaves will probably blend into the mix in time as well.

Cambridge is also being taken over. In the last couple years it has transformed into Little India. Every store the employees are Indian. All the people walking on the sidewalk on the main road are Indian. All the people on the bus are Indian. I don't even recognize the city I was born in anymore. Also 90% of the students at Conestoga College are Indian. It seems the colleges only care about money and are accepting mostly foreign students who pay 3 times the amount for tuition. What is happening to our country?

I think Surrey, BC would give Brampton a run for the money on that title. 30 years ago Surrey was known as Little India. There are street signs that are not in English or French but in Punjabi. When my children were small, the notices from school were written in English, Punjabi & Korean.

My mom is in her seventies and grew up in Brampton. She hasn't been there for more then 15 yrs. I told her not to go. She would cry seeing what happened to her little home town.

Thats exact thing happen when u go abroad to earn little extra money and so that u can give ur children better education n have a better life...u have to adjust like this.......and then only u will understand what is freedon which u carry in ur own country...thats why NRI show more love to country than us.....??????????what a pitty life...i am sure this man doesnt have Canadian citizenship.....this white man cant dare to talk like this to local residents or shikhs residents

For anyone to reply: I’m on the fence here, I grew up in downtown Toronto in a very mixed neighbourhood. I do not like Trudeau liberals and NDP coalition. I disagree with the mass immigration under his reign: Canada’s healthcare system has been on life support for decades… inflation, tent cities and food insecurity. We need to fix our own problems before allowing immigration: “we need to put on our own O2 mask before helping others”. Stating that, since the Indian population has grown in Brampton, what’s the solution? They are already there— i know many ppl who have come to Canada and do not know the language, can only speak Italian, and Chinese… to name a few. Seems like the ppl who are already in Brampton can speak English, and chose to speak their own language amongst themselves. \nIn Toronto we have Greek, China, Corso Italia, little Tokyo, Little Jamaica, little Portugal, little Malta, Roncesvalles (polish), and Ukrainian towns. \nI’m on the fence: since they are already here, when is it considered Racism??? \nHonest question.. looking for insightful answers and or information.

GTA has alway had areas where immigrant cultures congregate. Little India, Greek Town, Little Italy, China Town, Korea town, little Portugal. Canada needs new tax payers to replace the ageing Baby Boomer population. Who is going to pay into the CPP, OAS and taxes with a decline “Canadian population.”

This whole idea of groups of people taking over and changing a landscape is the cycle of human history. White Europeans aren't the first 'Canadians' lol. It may make people uncomfortable but just deal and remember we are all just humans trying to make a life, have a family and income. Expats do go to other countries and make their own little clubs, take over land and business. People seek opportunities no matter where they go. The only point I would agree with here is that the rate of immigration may not be sustainable with the housing shortage etc.

Just wait until we bring on tens of thousands of Palestinians. Bank on it. And they will settle into their own little community dominating it.

Long time listener but this let me down a little bit.

In the aftermath of white flight, those who can not afford to leave must stay. The population of Canadian born people will dwindle down over the years, except for the poor and drug addicted. They have little other option. More attention to the drug and poverty situations of those still clinging to what is left of Brampton should be brought to bear.

Immigration is obviously too high, but no one should be surprised at the formation of ethnic enclaves. China Town, little Italy, Greek town, which exist in every major city, seem to be accepted and even embraced.

Take my interview.. I am an Indian who moved here from the States. I will give you a different perspective.. how I see that the local white population is getting screwed. And how immigrants are screwing themselves over.. how Canada is just a cheap outsourcing hub for USA.. the quality of people and work is garbage.. with very little money. I met my daughter last week for lunch at what was once our favourite Italian restaurant here in Newmarket. The food was not as good as it once was. Then, I noticed the music playing in the background was a little off for an Italian restaurant. Had a chance to see in the kitchen all east-Indians. I asked the young girl serving us about a change in ownership. Sure enough new owners. The loss of a great restaurant has been there for years.

Alberta is considered little India for a while now!

Growing up in Brampton most of my life and now being able to travel for work I say let them have it. Brampton is over priced and over crowded. High crime rate. No night life. Only a handful of choices for cuisine. Canada is an enormous country and the real shame is not being able to move to another city as easy as it should be when a good for nothing one gets invaded the way Brampton has. I’m currently out in Woodstock and all the new houses in the north of the city is ALL Indians. On any nice day you’d think the neighborhood park is little India with all the aunties and uncles at the benches. The damage is done, this country’s immigration system needs a complete overhaul.

Dont we also have the same with many other culture such as China Town, Little Italy, Greek Town, Little Jamaica and many more, it was like this 55 years ago when I first came, its the same in almost every province in Canada........We need more unity and not division, but humans will eventually form cliques with like minded people....

Cultures congregate when coming to a new country. Re Brampton the affluent from India send their kids with much money backing them. Sadly, this offshore income is due to little or no taxation. So the new arrivals easily outcompete tax paying residents who Pais for the infrastructure only to be outcompeted by new arrivals who haven't.

I was born and raised in Canada and in my 60’s now. I can’t afford to live here anymore, healthcare has declined, personal safety, fuel costs, insurance etc. most of all our politics are a mess on all three major parties. The Liberals are a royal mess and inflation went through the roof. They’re just running around like the 3 blind mice making fools of themselves. The Conservatives are involving themselves in a right wing romance with fascist trumpianism and think poutine is an ok guy. The hate speech is unreal. We used to be a real chill country. I have young 20 somethings telling me they think Communism is a great idea and they would rather fight for poutine if a war breaks out. Well it’s their future not mine. The AI, bots and trolls on the internet are telling them what they want to hear in order to stir up hate and entitlement. The NDP (New Democratic Party) is neither here nor there, they’re kind of always the minority and swing both the other two parties to divide the vote and gain some form of temporary power. \nI’d like to see a politician that has the balls to stand up to the dictators of this world that shit disturb in every continent because they are such little insecure bastards that they think they can conquer it. I’ve got news for them. Every single dictator in history has failed… miserably and often brutally. We need the kind of leadership in our Country that can produce good governance. I'm a 28 year old Canadian, I don't want this to come off sounding like a pity party, so I'll keep it brief for all and any of those thinking of moving here. I live with my parents because I could never afford the rent (and I don't even live in a major city like Toronto); my buddies moved in together and paid 1600 a month for a SMALL 2-bedroom apartment and they STRUGGLED to find an apartment. everyone I talk to is struggling and scared about their mortgage payments. My parents built a new home just a few years ago and got screwed over at every turn and on every level, their only saving grace was that their lumber package was locked in so they didn't have to worry about the lumber inflation. the job market is straight up trash and we're taxed through the teeth for every little thing. On the news we see stories about immigrants having to go back to their country because they can't afford to live here or find affordable housing. don't move here, it's shit.

It was game over in 1977 when fake president Jimmy carter went on tv saying so. Little people hung on till about 1994 or so. Look at the gold chart since 2002. Canada turned a hard left and socialist almost completely the opposite of Singapore, which is very inviting to business, due to its founders philosophy of welcoming businesses, and all ethnicities into a melting pot. In Canada, people called themselves, Ukrainian, Mexican, and other things. In Singapore, all phenotypes call themselves Singaporean. I smile when I hear this. Nationalism is a huge target for socialists. Hence present day Canada.
