More people from all over the world, open borders and monthly checks, housing, food, phones maybe they will be lucky too or maybe some who has it in for America will enter while its easy. It's because everywhere in Canada is turning into India. Our ways are being bulldozed out of existence by their ways. It's not all bad. But people want to be able to live the lifestyle they grew up with. Restaurants and bars being bought up and all turned into Indian restaurants. 30 within 4 blocks is ridiculous. All i hear when I go out for a walk is obnoxiously loud Indian music. To be clear, I love Indian culture, food, customs and views on family. But I think it's so important for Canada's identity to keep a variety and not have 1 culture with no interest in co-existing with the beautiful blend that is Canada.

It's not really the fault of immigrants or foreigners that you feel insecure both socially and economically. It's the fault of the system that allowed them to enter the country in the first place. I live in rural Atlantic Canada. There is lots and lots of land not being used. People driving long distances from their huge single family home to get to town or the city. If no Canadians are moving to the country side to start homesteads, then why not immigrants. I don't see the point of someone moving to a local small town to work in a Tim Hortons or not if there is no job available and buy franken foods from huge corporations. Instead if some immigrants want a homesteading life (some probably would), give people grants to make apartments in their huge single family farmhouses left from the days when people had ten kids, and subdivide their land so the new people can farm it. The local people can get rent money and payment for the subdivision and still have a large plot of land left over). Grow the local farmers markets! Grow the small towns to what they were 100 years ago! Make it so people only had to drive to the city when they wanted to, not for work. There is so so much empty land out here used for massive lawns.

Meanwhile the same government has increased the size of the bureaucracy by over 10,000 people in the last year alone while fewer and fewer actual services are competently delivered because the number of front line workers directly serving Canadians has shrunk. Stop immigration (legal or illegal) for now. The country is not ready for more people coming in regardless of what way (work visa, student visa, etc.). This should include assylum and refugees coming here by the legions. Many are not legitimate refugees but are deceiving the system. Ottawa is footing the bill for their hotel accommodations (yes, hotel!), food, etc. This is not mentioned on this video.

Landlords are taking advantage of supply and demand and over charge people. People I guess are saying F you! Were in a housing crisis and there are human rights laws . Peoples fundalmental rights under the code are being violated. I would say class action law suit against Canadian government. They increased immigration from 1x to 4x in a short period of time in a neglience way. I think Canadians are wimps compared to Americans...you know in the US everyone sues. Very different in that way. Here people just suck it up. Too polite and passive. Side note Look at line ups for fast food. Horrible service . No cashiers . You wait forever now and the funny thing is you see people just stand there all the time and accept the garbage service. Its hilarious. In the US people speak up and show feelings and emotion or just walk out. Here everyone is soft. At least every single time I have observed this behavior. Come on people we have to take a stand man. Immigration will not STOP ANYTIME SOON. Canada should have foreseen that the country would need more people 30-40 years ago and provided the resources to encourage Canadians to birth more children. Salaries are laughable, childcare is overwhelmingly expensive, food is expensive, rent is high. How do you expect Canadians to birth 4 -5 children when they are earning significantly less than their American counterparts. Immigrants will continue to troop into Canada where we like it or not.

I’m an immigrant and my sister came in with student visa. To get here, she had to prove that we had the money to sustain her housing and food needs while also being able to pay for her tuition. So tell me why students were able to come here and be homeless. What went wrong there?

The Canadian government subsidizes the wages of workers from India through a work-study arrangement. Most of the unskilled work in my small town (fast food and restaurants in particular) is taken by these students from India, while the teens and adults who have lived in the town their entire lives cannot get jobs because of it. My tax dollars are helping huge corporations pay wages of foreign workers, and my own child and MANY others were turned down for employment by these same companies. Not sure where these workers are living, because there is also a housing crisis in our area. Our immigration system is failing immigrants and Canadians alike.

WE also don’t t have enough usable land to produce food, And Set up infrastructure that is affordable. We already have high costs of living in very under-serviced areas. The space that is already used for the population of canada is already over populated, and overpriced housing and living costs for our citizens.

It is a very important thing to note that despite Canada being the second largest country in the world by landmass, the vast majority of the population lives 100km from the American border because the vast majority of the land has no infrastructure to have large scale habitation. Outside of the prairies and the st Lawrence valley, there is precious little farmland to sustain people. So we import a huge percentage of our food which can also attribute to rising costs (not the only factor but it doesn’t help). Geographically, this country can’t comfortably hold more than 36 million people. Our population really shouldn’t grow beyond that unless we have infrastructure to house and feed people, which we barely do for the people that live here let alone the folks coming in. I feel like people want to make it a race issue, but that’s misguided. Canada is not America. We can’t fill our country top to bottom with people it’s logistically too difficult.
