It is easy to judge migrants when you have a home and food to eat. People migrate because they are in a bad situation. I also understand that it is not easy for USA or Canada or Europe to accept every single person from around the world but this is our situation today. We as humans have enough technology and resources to ensure everyone gets decent housing and food around the world yet here we are living in inequality. We produce enough food every year to feed the world 7 times over yet so much of it goes to waste and so many empty stomachs. Btw countries like US and Canada waste more food and resources than any other country in the world.

Once you get into Canada, free Welfare for life. Even if you get a job you still get access to all the services provided within for subsidization, etc. Government transit passes, subsidized housing, carbon tax funding, food bank access where if you have a family you get way better food than single folks (cakes etc.), lots of child support, credit to attend community centers (swimming pool, etc.), paid tuition and the list goes on.

Sad Canada is only a second option for people. Immigrating to Canada is so much easier than the United States. As the saying goes, do you want to struggle to stay in the United States or settle in Canada.

I have witnessed 1st hand people crossing our Canadian border on the coast and they just wait until the RCMP bring a Limo to pick them up. I welcome anyone who goes through the process of legally immigrating. Our Ukrainian friends, Afghan's who were left behind or Syrian's. We are countries of immigration, but to just allow them to crash through is wrong.
