What is happening is all the new immigants international students are taking all the jobs from the canadians in poor situationlike the construccion jobs. So all tge international students not really cames to studing they came to get a job and later apply for a permanent resident in the same construccion companny. So is no more jobs for the canadkans poor whi no jobs is not food and not housing for them. Because they are taking the shelters hlysi g and a food banks to. So the poor canadaians are been put them away to get sick suffer been displaced form the new international students fakes. ??.

Iam a dentist and was a part of protest to increase wages for doctors while I was a student in India. And Iam contributing to the Canadian economy now, paying my taxes here. Sorry, my parents immigrated to Canada in the 80s from communist Poland and they never received a penny of assistance from the government or taxpayer. Immigrants are supposed to come with a skill set they can sustain themselves from. Very disappointed in Pierre Pollieve over this one issue. They need to go back to India. We don't need competition for food, housing, and jobs. Thanks Trudeau, soon enough we will be able to walk across lake Ontario, just like the Ganges. First hand knowledge here, while enjoying a day at a park, a Hindu/Paki or whatever they were numbering about 50 having a picnic/family get together, age ranging from 1-80 with 20 or so full grown men. Despite their being a trash can every 20 metres, and numbering 47 total in the park, the family left the garbage all over the ground and tables and left. The mess, considering 50 ppl you can judge for yourself. Now in our world if I call the law on them I am a racist. The Canadian way is gone, new arrivals think that we should adapt to their ways, not the new arrivals adapting to ours. Canada was once a great nation, no more it costs your whole cheque just for rent, then you need to work another job if you want to eat.

In Ontario, these types of jobs are normally given to Canadian high school or University students. Now these Canadians will be left competing with International students.

I was an international Student....15 years ago. I paid about 30k in tuition A YEAR.. I was NOT allowed to work off campus, i was allowed to work ON campus for a maximum of 10 hours A WEEK...in order for me to maintain my Visa status i had to maintain a GPA over 3.5 AND i had to be enrolled in an accredited institution. Our international student department had a quota of how many students they could recruit from every country... Rent was affordable, jobs were aplenty and when it came time for an Internship companies would come do hiring fairs and fight to get students to want to work for them. Now they get about 60k applicants a year that are willing to work for free and taking away from actual citizens.\nAfter 8 years of working and grinding and stressing i earned the right to get a Permanent residence...i had to commit 3 years out of 5 to stay here and work here and pay taxes for me to become a Canadian ...it was the proudest day of my life. I was filled with a sense of achievement that has been shat on by these students. \nIf you or anyone would actually like to talk about how it should be feel free to reach out.\nI will tell you this for free...if a Canadian Citizen did this in my country .. they'd be on the first flight home.

The PEI international students are not Canadian citizens, are not covered by our Charter o of Rights, do not have a right to protest, and do not q qualify for any notifications regarding the change to laws and rules. We can't afford h the jobs non Canadians are taking

I do not drink coffee or eat fast food. So I have no need for these people. Get your education and get out. I am an immigrant that came to Canada legally. No one bent the rules for me nor for people whom I have met here that are also immigrants all legally from several different nations in Europe as well as Caribbean and South American. All actually hold decent paying jobs nurses, engineers business owners ect. They work hard to make a life for themselves and their families to become successful Canadians. Send all these students back when their time is up. If not it’s only going to cost Canadians and immigrants that contribute and wish to be Law abiding Canadians that do more than serve food and coffee.

All Canadian employers should have hire Canadian first policy. These so called students stealing job from our kids, who have to compete with these outsiders to save up for their education

So Canada gives them a nice gift and a helping hand and now they demand the store become theirs. Send them back and let them try getting in legally with skills we need. Canadian sons and daughters can pour coffee as their first job instead. Enough is enough. Canada has to take care of Canadian citizens first. Our grocery cabal ruthlessly raise prices whenever we look away, and their lobbyists are all ensconced within the leadership of our three major parties, particularly the Conservatives (so if anyone thinks that electing them will help, they're in for a nasty surprise).\n\n3. We're experiencing 'labour shrinkflation': increasing duties are downloaded onto workers and more is expected: more productivity, more availability (almost 24/7 in some jobs), and higher qualifications. Meanwhile, real wages are decreasing relative to living cost, more positions are 'contract', which is basically a way for employers to not have to give you benefits, and job security is tenuous for a lot of people.\n\n4. Houses are being bought by investors and not owners. Foreign entities are money laundering. The wealthy upper crust of high population countries are moving here and buying property because Canada is (still) more safe and stable and less repressive than their home countries in most cases. \n\n5. There's a cycle beginning: as people are squeezed and forced to spend more on 'needs', they spend less on eating out, entertainment, and other 'wants'. These are significant drivers of the service economy and they're being hit hard. So, what can they do? They can let go of workers or lower product costs to remain profitable, but they their quality declines and, in a market where people are pinching every penny and looking for quality for their dollar, they're less likely to go back. They can raise their prices, of course, but then they price people out completely and their profits still tank. I went to a decent steakhouse for my dad's 60th last week. I can't remember the last time that I went to one before that. \n\n6. Our politicians and news cycles focus on the most niche and irrelevant stuff because it'll stoke anger and get tongues wagging. This carbon thing is almost a non-issue, but our conservative leader is harping on about it like it's singlehandedly the death of the Canadian economy when it's a drop in the bucket. Trudeau focuses on 'equity' measures, hoping for a bit of cheap good press, while his efforts are, for the most part, just window dressing and the issues, while meaningful, are often not of paramount importance or even applicable to the vast majority of the people who elected him. Meanwhile, the middle class is pretty much evaporating as he speaks. The NDP keep talking about this in a pretty real way, for what it's worth, but Jagmeet Singh is giving off an increasing vibe of just being another fat cat politician beneath his rhetoric these days. Also, third-party trolls and screeching conservatives try to bury him on social media whenever he speaks... a lot more than other leaders as well, oddly. I wonder why? Oh yeah, the Greens exist and there's Quebec and the conspiracy theory party.\n\n\nUltimately, what we're experiencing is the revenge of the feudal system. Instead of paying rents to your lord and doing labour on the land for him whenever commanded to, you pay rent to your landlord now and go to work even when you're sick or when work hours are over because you have no union protection or are working 'on contract'. Unless we want to live in the armpit of nowhere, 95% of us are going to be wage slaves living hand-to-mouth, not owning our own property, and working to please our corporate overlords if current trends continue unchecked. While some of Canada's problems are unique, I fear that most aren't. As for me, I'm headed to the 'armpit of nowhere' where I can at least have a ghost of a chance of affording life.

Could you imagine being a 16 year old real Canadian getting a job at Tim hortons and it’s all adult males and females like 30 running around in there speaking their language,, I’d never let my kid work there

As an *actual* Canadian student, I can say there's no opportunities in Canada. I might have to move to the US to get a job in my field sadly.

We came to Canada 5 years ago, through Student Visa ( Masters) , wanted my kids to learn english too, the pandemic hit and borders closed. Plan was return. During pandemic we had to change our visa and got the PR and got good jobs,. Met great people and decided to stay because is nice for my children. What I have to say is: there is wayyy too many Indians, we didnt want to do any school work with them, we dont want to work with them, we dont want to live in their neighborhood. ( its weird to admit it), at this point, we dont want to go to Walmart, is just their irresponsible attitude everywhere , also descendents of India (2 and 3 generarion) that I met are shocked and upset with soo many and the elementary schools are packed full portables. There is no balance. Their culture will dominate in 100 years from now. This is how immigration works. The outcomes will be seen later and will change Canadian Culture forever.

So if an immigrant can get a Canadian citizen tax payer funded job the government will let them stay. Cool sounds about right par for the course for our government. Imagine going to another country, going to school there, failing, then demanding handouts from their country. U mad yet? If the government won't send them home, Canadian citizens will create innovative solutions.

As a Canadian past middle age with health issues, I lost couple of my jobs to these younger international students with fake papers during & after Covid as the employers know they can just pay them minimum wage for a heavy equipment operator job. Now going back to a service industry as my health issues dictate & doctor’s’ orders I now have to slow down what was decade & half ago the wage was substantial to live on is now below it’s just minimum wage because employers now can get away to just hire these students at minimum, with most of them came here under false pretence as students but in reality take jobs & decent lives from hardworking tax paying Canadians, I know we’re immigrants here too, if you’re not native then you’re an immigrant eh, but these people are swindlers undermining our very lives.

I also am a Canadian born and I don't recognize my country our culture has change, the immigrants are trying to take over our country and not give Canadian artists a chance to preform. My only thoughts is Now a days, ONLY INDIAN's are hired everywhere, such as Tim hortons,security,best buy Banks,Senior Care agency,100 % ALL Canadian Business Sectors are ALL INDIANS, where are the Diverse culture,when only INDIANS are hired. Such as in Tim hortons, All will be INdIANS, All the Agencies have a INdians in Human resources and they hires only Indians. Indians are hired in 7 days after coming to Canada, everything is negotiaged from Upper level,thats their statement.For us, canadian citizens,in 2011, we had to wait 7 long moths for work permit and we were not allowed to work.Some according to my friends,only Indians'are hired,people who are canadian citizens had to wait in big line for a job. Indian dont have to wait just coming here after 7 days, they get job or hired. If one Indian's work in one office,there will be 10 Indians next week. Where are the Diverse culture now?

It's not the fault of the student's. They pay a lot to get here and they work in the service jobs that many young Canadians do not want to work in if we even have enough native born Canadians. They are victims of the greed of Post Secondary institutions and the mismanagement of the Trudeau government. Take a look at the open immigration policy for people coming from Iran, Syria and Morocco. Last time I looked Iran was not a friend yet we open the door to these countries. No vetting, no security and no age limit. 70 plus years old coming to Canada on Work Permits. This will affect our healthcare. Indian students paid and worked for their chance to live here. Take a look. Investigate the special programs for different countries in the middle east.

Canadian companies are the problem as well. They pretend they can't find Canadians to work (been experiencing this since 1976) and then hire temporary foreign workers, and the illegal immigrants. The Canadian business owners then get Canadian government grants and subsidies from 50% to 70% to cover the temporary workers wages and more than likely when they hire illegal immigrants as well, along with kick backs for providing housing. Canadian companies also pay those workers under the table, especially in the hospitality industry, and lay off Canadians and keep the temporary foreign workers and pay them under the table. Now if the Canadian government would offer grants and subsidies when Canadian companies hire Canadians, more Canadians would have full time jobs with livable wages. The Canadian government has to stop allowing foreign entities from buying Canadian businesses as they only have to hire 1 Canadian. After that the foreign entities who bought Canadian businesses are allowed to bring in as many of their workers as they want. That has to be stopped as well.

I lost very good friends over the years because they were not able to secure work visas after working, but its fair. Canada's system and social welfare has to be protected, Canadian jobs have to be protected and prioritized for Canadians first. No international student has a right to stay or live here past their studies. They can come back when they secure a work permit.

Holy shit the fact that its Indian's chanting fair rules is so ironic. These people are the biggest scammers, lying on visa/school applications, lying about education and job experience, scamming driving schools so people with no driving experience are getting licenses, mortgage scams, food bank scams, I could go on and on. That’s why the whole government system has to be abolished because they are all the same and don’t care about Canadians. Got a friend that works at the Halifax airport; they were flying them in plane after plane during the communist lockdown the Libs did us, and they did not have to show proof of vaccine to get into the country. Our young people lost their non essential jobs to these people over night! This is an attack on Canadian's, no other name for it!

They don't care about Canada and its locals, and culture, and native languages (english & french). The proof is that when they come they cloister themselves, continue speaking their native languages and basically just ignore the local Canadians or ridicule them in their native language.
