Once you move inside America, you want American politicians to care about people inside America rather than people outside America. The politician's first duty is toward his/her citizens. You cannot have homeless Americans while illegal immigrants are being put up in hotels. \nThe real question is, does the USA need more unskilled people, whose primary contribution is manual labor? More and more jobs are going to be lost to AI/Robotics. Think of the scenario where you will have vast swathes of the population unemployed or underemployed. Is that desirable? Think of the chaos that will cause. More doctors and scientists are always welcome to immigrate anytime, and such folks all do so legally. \nThere are enough people already in America to do what needs to be done. We need to first build infrastructure using existing citizens to enable the next wave of immigrants (several years later) to move here. You just cannot have more and more people put more pressure on an already crumbling and ageing infrastructure, driving up rents for low-income Americans.

Jesus Christ this is ridiculous. American food producers and farmers will have to pay an American citizen twice as much to do the same job an immigrant was doing. Their labor costs will skyrocket. Who is going to pay the difference? Not Trump. \n\nYou wanted affordable groceries. You morons went and voted for the exact opposite.

NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Despite all the rhetoric on immigration, the truth is that Republicans love slave labor and that's why they have scuttled efforts whenever it came to actually halt illegal immigration. \nIt is also why they are opposed to abortion, homosexuality, contraception, sex education, education in general - because none of these activities add to the population. Educated people tend to have fewer children. Uneducated people will have more children, will be more economically oppressed, and are less aware of their rights as citizens.

I give it two weeks after they actually begin before we get reporting that they have deported a legal resident (3 days for it to happen, and the rest is for discovery and reporting).\nI give it one month tops before we find out they have deported actual citizens. Why are democratic governors and mayors trying to keep illegal immigrants, who have committed violent crimes against American women ,children and men from being deported? Why do they want these people to stay and continue to commit crimes against American citizens? Why continue to destroy America?

So many people disconnected with the fact that while not all illegal citizens commit crimes, some of the ones who do aren't being held accountable. Many of them are residing in Sanctuary cities which protects them. In these sanctuary cities, when they commit a crime, sure they get arrested because that's a police officer's job, but then these criminals are immediately released. They can't be taken to court and they don't go to jail. Law enforcement need our help. They're getting discouraged because nothing is happening with these individuals.

So this mass deporation will cost $100 bil to achieve (some estimates put it at over $300 bil) and those immigrants pay approx. $100 bil in taxes (including paying into SS, which they can't use) and many of them do menial jobs for low wages that citizens do not want to do (unless you pay them more, which raises prices)... combine this with potential tariffs and this sounds like a foolproof plan for a recession with stagflation. I want to say Trump voters can FAFO, but unfortunately they are going to bring everyone down with them
