I remember my story at Mumbai Airport in 1998, when the immigration officer was upset , threw my passport and said he won't let let me cross. If people think they can just stop immigration or send anyone back, they are delusional. We need to better vet applications, cut down on asylum seekers, reverse international students back to 20 hours/week work, no one walks in from US and claim asylum. When someone comes to study, the focus should be studying and not working full time. Stop sending billions to other countries and start investing it on our housing, infrastructure and services. Give tax benefits to small businesses and startups. Strict gang and crime laws. Finally, stop giving free drugs to addicts and have better rehab and resettlement facilities. Above all, people have to stop thinking the dumb idea that anyone is being replaced or anything.

Most of theses students are not here to study, they are here to work and then go for a permanent residency

whatever you are saying that is correct but it is only one side bro, go and just ask international students what they have been promised here in Canada and how they are living here. Even most of the engineers, doctors and other professionals with foreign experience ended up doing general labor or uber driver jobs and even on the basis of their education and work experience they got permanent residency. No one likes to work on these hard jobs but they don't have any other option as most of skilled worker jobs either need their respective field license or Canadian experience. how much fees international student paying, what kind of job they are doing here, living far from family, managing studies and job, how much debt they took to study here and much more sacrifices doing here. Do not say then why came here because applied through legal process and full filled all the necessary criteria. Was it our fault that we dreamed about study and work here in Canada?. I know it is hard for you and your families that they are not getting jobs but don't hate international students. you can only understand anyone if you put yourself in their shoes.

All private colleges need to be closed and foreign student work permits need to be removed. A foreign student should be able to come to canada pay for school and when they are done should get a PR card and work in what ever field they studied in.

As an immigrant myself who came 12 years ago I had to work 2 jobs and study at night French to be able to adapt. When I came I already had a university degree and then did my masters degree here in Canada . At the end it pay off I had a good job now. The main requirement for people coming to Canada should be an university degree at least as in the past . That shows you are able to learn and adapt to new things plus you have knowledge about a specific field .

The main reason why we Indians are leaving Canada is because its full of Indians & Chinese. There is no European/Western World's feeling. Not too many speak proper English, either the compatriates are Chinese or Punjabies and none of them can speak proper English. But just for name sake, the families of the Indians can be proud that their kids are studying in Canada, its a status symbol.

These people aren't there for study. You can't expect how much money they paid for Canada visa. I'm a college graduate in Canada with a computer science certificate. I've been job hunting for 2 years handing out hundreds upon hundreds of applications, probably long over 1000 applications at this point. As a computer scientist who studies programming languages and server maintenance, I CAN'T EVEN GET INTO RETAIL. AFTER YEARS.

Canada is not diverse anymore. When you go to GTA you will only see Indians and Blacks more. Australia accepts immigrants which they need. Australia don't care even if you study in Australian university but if you are not in their required profession list then you won't get PR. But in Canada you just need university degree and you can apply for immigration and you will get. Thousands of people who were rejected in Australia ended in Canada. And now international students mostly Punjabis coming for rural areas and end up becoming truck driver. Trucking industry is so saturated because of Punjabis. We don't need labour class because we have people for that. What we need is skilled people and educated which is short here.

I can total relate to that in terms of making new friends. Even though I studied here for both my undergrad and Masters, many of my old friends and classmates at school are working in different places so I hardly have many familiar people known around me. Also due to the nature of my remote working job, it's just so hard to meet someone with close connection and relationships with as before.

A person my friend told ne to move here i came i live like garbage even my nursing degree and working as rn in Germany is 0 i have to start from the begining now i am just cleaning ppl houses my degree is hanging in the wall.going back to school of nursing is expensive and i am not young for that.canada sucks big time

The majority of indian students are studying in college who gave diplomas that worth nothing.

International students promised that they got enough money to pay for their tuition fees and accommodation before getting university offer letter. It is funny they can work 40 hours just like the full time workers. Why did they tell that they got sufficient money to the University and Immigration and they wil focus on their study only till their study is completed? Why do they protest on roads now telling that teachers are falling them intentionally?
