Don't ever ask a white person if there is racism in their town, city, country, why? Because they are not targeted so how would they know? I used to trip on people watching me when I was in stores, however today @ 53 I don't care, all I ever say is if they ever grab me then I will take action, until then I'll shop till I drop! Dear , you don't have to feel sorry. I am sure your intention is very very good. Seems you are good human beings. I lives in UK for 18 years. In beginning I struggled a lot. During past 18 years I have travelled lots in various countries and seen so many settled people who are origin from respective country or are settled from ages . But you also note that thay had gone through with same as beginner going through, or might b lot . I like your post, and doesn't notice any ego or proud in that . I like that . But what I mean to say is everyone from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka or Bangladesh , before come in English country or in any country, are starting very big dreams and after step into new country they don't accept positive things and blames only those countries where thay have gone for higher education or for earning money. Still they stay there and says here is blot like india , dongle come here , or we have to do this type of job .They don't have servants there, they have to wash their clothes themselves, cook themselves and clean house themselves . That's why thay are saying bad words for that country and still they want path of permanent residence of that country. I am not against of india but if you are staying in English country for 6 months, I request you please make video for how government works for their people, how smooth you can run your business without giving bribe to government officers , how police officers are doing their job and how pure is system . And please all these compare in India and suggest life is easy there or not . I love my country and during my 18 years in UK , I came back to India with my family to settle down the rest life but because of some government officers ( on each step asking bribe for business) , and not getting support from government, decided to go back to UK .I mean to say in English country there is value for poor person or for rich person. In india government hospital are free but look how they treat the patient. Please compair each sector and make video. If you do this would be very grateful. I think the government knew about it a lot earlier but chose to ignore it. Many people even still commit visa fraud to gain entry. It's a lie that refugees give back more than they take. Stats for 2011 show that immigrants take, on average, about $6K a year more than they pay in tax. The government mantra that immigrants pay Canadians social security checks after they have been here a while is bogus propaganda. So I'm from a town in Ireland with a small hotel, a few years ago the government bought it and moved immigrants in overnight (literally in the middle of the night). It is still run like a hotel with cleaning services and restaurant but the occupants also receive government income. (meanwhile we are seeing an increase in local homelessness every year) Anyways I recently heard a story from someone who works for social services who collected a woman and her few kids from the hotel to drive them down the road to the new four bedroom house they were being given. When they arrived at the house the woman asked what days the cleaner would be over, the person driving said that she wouldn't have a cleaner anymore this was her house so she would be responsible for minding it. The woman put her kids back in the car and demanded they take her straight back to the hotel. So yeah, hotels may not be the greatest immigration solution.

From what I heard coming from other source .Also when I see them at food banks taking home more than $150.00 in groceries from just 1 food bank they goto 9 amonth .their cell phones are top of the line .Clothes and shoes brand name only .Gold jewllery ladys purses $300.00 and up .And they all have cars from 40 thousand and up . One place i never see them is value village .How do they do iit ?I had 2 kids and on welfare a few years back and I had a hard time trying to get some things that we badly needed and could not afford and things were a lot cheaper .The most I ever spent at no frills been on assistance was $75.00 for the whole month .6 years ago and no cell phone gold. or cars .So how these people do it ?oh and by the way I go ti no frills once a week .Those same refugees are there every thursday spending $500.00. on goceries and none of them work .Some time neighbours talk and thats how things are know .Our government is a big lier .We the tax payers are paying for all of these Once a refugee of this country one canot be sent back or deported so if this refugee never finds a job you the tax payer and I will pay for his or her assistance and maybe for a life time .like in the case of gypsies refugees they are all on assistance go to all the food banks rob the community of their belongins their cars items from stores donations in front of churches and stores they dress the best also spend hundreds of dollars on food they shop for clothes at the mall and we the tax payer brake our backs 6 days a week 10 hours a day like me and I cant afford even half of what these people can .So even if they become criminals we have to support them .Some refugee law and rights should be changed to ensure that tax payers are not been taking advantage of .

It is a very misleading headline. Canada does have stricter immigration laws than the States. I don't know why all of Latin America thinks that the USA and Canada have the responsibility of taking care of the people from Latin American Countries. I say let them fix their own countries. Mexico for example, has every resource that the USA has. Coal, oil, natural gas, mineral mines of every type, timber industries, rich farm land, etc..... You name the resource, Mexico has it. As a Canadian Salvadoran I’m grateful to be in this great country. However, I implore all immigrants/refugees to wake up and smell the roses, it is not paradise here....it’s great but not that great. We need the same approach when it comes to Syrians in Canada. Every immigrant takes work from a Canadian. Unlike Canadians who help out everyone when it comes to employment. East Indians for example only hire east indians from my experience alot of foreigners only hire their own. But I wonder how sorry he feels, knowing that by coming to Canada, he and his fellow immigrant countrymen have, taken jobs away from Canadians? 1500 people like myself that have worked here all their lives? I was working in the meat industry for over fifteen years, just to have my employer, take my skilled job and give it too an unskilled worker, under the temporary foreign worker program. That program was set up by the federal government for unskilled workers, coming to Canada for unskilled jobs that Canadians didn't want. My job was a skilled job, that I had to work my way up from the bottom, to the level of employment, that only skilled workers were capable of doing. This temp program was for unskilled employment only! But if your employer is big enough in the industry, the government allows them to bend the laws of the land, and give your jobs to any undereducated immigrant that comes along...WTF? Canada wake up!!!

I was stumped with the lack of variety and the fact that all the liquor is so tightly regulated by the government.
